Austin - hats off to you for helping me get the perfect size waders and boots. You knew it was an investment and took the time to help out when I came back to re-fit myself. I appreciate that since I’m a weirdly sized dude. Wound up having an awesome backcountry trip with those.

This store is awesome - it’s really the only fly shop in the area since L&J shut down however many years ago. Price wise - sure, the rods and gear are expensive; but I can tell you firsthand you get what you pay for. Many Amazon rods later, my Clearwater is still one of the better med-fast actions I have. Flies are reasonably priced for sure though.

I purchased some clothes from the Orvis website and did not like how they fit. I went to the store to return the clothes, and avoid the fee to ship them back, and was greeted by John. He was extremely friendly and helpful with processing the return, and was helpful in providing insight on alternative options. I ended up purchasing a few items and would definitely return. It was also a nice touch that he saw my name from the order information and continued to call me by my first name during my time in the store.

A little pricey but great stuff

Top quality outdoor gear for anything from fly fishing to dog training, hiking and hunting all there... but obviously the main attraction is the fly fishing equipment. This shop has a top notch fly selection and a staff that stays up-to-date on what flys are hot when.
If you find yourself in Milwaukee and need anything fly fishing from waders and boots to simple advice this is a pretty solid stop.

The Orvis Bayshore location is awesome! Katheryn keeps the store organized and efficient. John, the fishing manager is knowledgeable and super willing to help in any way possible. I feel incredibly lucky to have this shop in our community.

I really love the staff and how knowledgable
They are. It doesnt matter if you want to talk fishing, need some clothes or are looking for a gift. They're really nice, smart people here. I would highly recommend their free fly fishing class and fly tying class. There are also events they do around town as simple outings which are great.

Just want to say that John Klinzing at the Bayshore Orvis location was a huge help and super knowledgeable. Great guy who’s super down to help in any way possible and likes to talk shop. Made my experience at the Orvis store very enjoyable and I look forward to my next visit.
