No place is perfect, but the staff works hard for all of the kids that come through the doors. Inpatient psych treatment is hard for any family, but the staff works hard to ensure that their patients leave the facility in a much more healthier place than when they arrived!

Willow Crest took my little girl when most had given up. They were kind, caring, informative, and professional from start to finish. They went the extra mile to help find solutions to my child’s mental health issues and medication resistance.. Although I know we will still have struggles ahead of us given her diagnoses, our life together is much more enjoyable due to Willow Crest!

My 10 year old son has had behavioral issues most of his life. He has been seen by behavioral specialists, therapists and psychiatrists since he was 4. School and social interactions have always been a problem for him. After 3 suspensions from school in 3 months, we admitted him to Willow Crest. While it is difficult to send your child away to a "facility," this is the best thing we have ever done for him. The 24 hour monitoring and intensive group therapy and social interaction monitoring as well as a weekly family session with the psychologist, are integral parts of the care. After a few days as an inpatient, the psychiatrist changed his medications. A week later, the doses were adjusted. I visited weekly and after the first week was allowed to spend 8 hours on pass on the weekends. He spent a total of four weeks there.

Upon returning home, we could tell a major change in his temperament. He went back to school the following Monday. For the first month, his teacher repeatedly commented that he didn't know what they did "there" but that they had sent back a different boy! It has now been 2 1/2 months and his behavior and social interactions have improved dramatically. He has also been able to return to before and after school care without problems. Yesterday I received his 3rd progress report...4 A's and 1 high B!!! While he has worked hard, I give Willow Crest the majority of the credit for getting him to this point.

If you are frightened by the prospect of sending a troubled child to an in-patient care facility, Willow Crest will alleviate all of those fears. They are the BEST!!!!

The staff operates as a "well oiled machine" and is available by phone 24 hours a day. It is obvious that they care about the kids in their charge and are great to communicate with the parents. I just cannot say enough about how wonderful the care was and how thankful I am that they "fixed" my boy!

I went here myself for suicidal thoughts and it was amazing. I made the closest relationships I’ve ever had in my life in just a few days. The staff will hold you down if you’re having a melt down and are a danger to others. Although, I heard many other patients say they would act up just for the “booty juice” which is medicine that calms you down. While this sounds bad, I witnessed a whole room of patients and staff work together to calm a kid down since he wouldn’t have visitation if they had to restrain him. We did it by singing “we will rock you” since he always sang that song and pounded on the wall. The staff cared so much and helped me figure out how to pull myself back together if I start spiraling. All the staff had behavioral issues, drug problems, or suicidal thoughts in the past, so there is a staff member who can help with every issue. None of them have those issues now, but they can give amazing advice. The food was good, the staff was so kind, and I got a lot of help with mental issues.

I had a great time there, I loved the staff, but my therapists weren’t really good. The food was also pretty bad.
