Pastiche Bistro

This place is cozy and has exquisite cuisine. This is another case of the rotating menu options which is great if you enjoy variety and fresh taste in your life. Great place for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. This is a new top pick for us as we had a most amazing meal. The Oysters were also huge we were impressed.

We had a large party of eleven for a birthday event. We chose this venue because their entree selection was varied. They did not disappoint. We had almost every selection in our group and everyone agreed theirs was done perfectly and great tasting. We really enjoyed the appetizers and the beet salads topped with fried goat cheese. Chef owner Mike Engel and our server did a great job. Angela the pastry chef made a perfect cake for us.

Had a wonderful night at Pastiche Bistro. The staff were friendly and attentive. My dinner was great. Will definitely be back again.

A bit of elegance without the snobby people. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. Romance for date night? This is the place. They will not let you down. A little gem 💎 with eloquence and charm. You can thank me later.

I just can't give this wonderful, family owned restaurant enough stars. I dined twice in my 3 days in the Mequon/North Milwaukee area. The food alone was enough to bring me back, but the service was outstanding. Even though they knew I was from out of town they made me feel like a regular. If I lived closer I would be!

Always an incredible experience at Pastiche. Service, food, wine, and everything overall is always top notch. We eat out often in the greater Milwaukee area and enjoy trying new restaurants, but it is hard to beat eating at an established restaurant knowing you are in for a 5 star experience every time. Mike and Angela have been in the game for a long time and there is a reason why that’s the case. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Chicken Breast pan-roasted, morel mushroom sauce, haricots verts, glazed carrots, roasted potatoes…. One of the best meals I’ve had. Prompt service, great quality and very fresh. I highly recommend and will be returning.

Upon a recommendation, I brought my wife here for Valentine's day. Unfortunately, I am reviewing this a year after our visit, so I'm going by memory. I got the duck breast with a pour of Basil Hayden neat. The duck was cooked to a medium/medium well. My wife got the rack of lamb with the house blend red wine, and boy was I jealous as to how tender that rack was. The dessert was absolutely exquisite. As it was our first time there, our waitress (can't remember her name) was extremely helpful. She offered plenty of suggestions to cater towards our own experience. Our visit was absolutely rememorable, and I plan on bringing her here again.

Absolutely amazing food. Definitely go you won't regret it. All of the dishes I have had so far were very delightful and full of flavor. So delicious..

My wife and I immensely enjoyed the "Le Cession" event at Pastiche. It was well worth the drive from Bay View where they started and are greatly missed. Mike continues to amaze us with his preparation and presentation. The wine expert was the most enjoyable we have experienced at events like this. A special shout out to the servers, Franks bartending skills and a big hug for Angela.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the overall atmosphere, to the welcoming and friendly staff, right through the deliciousness of the meal.

A little more upscale than we usually do for our group, but you gotta splurge now and then. And this was definitely the place to splurge. Very unassuming exterior, yet classy interior with linens and full changing of flatware between courses.

From the host to the server, we were warmingly welcomed and made to feel at home. The chef even came out when we were finished to greet us and ask how we enjoyed our evening. This is a detail lacking in most restaurants today. He was personable and genuinely seemed please we loved all of the food. No ego, no pretention. Just a man who loves doing what he does and seeing others enjoy the fruits of his labor.

I started with a predinner grasshopper. So yummy.

The food was simply amazing. Everyone ordered a different dish and everyone loved every bite. I ordered a salad before my main course and ended up not able to finish the entree. Will make for a great lunch today at work. Three of the group ordered different fish dishes, one ordered a steak, and I ordered the chicken in morel mushroom sauce. I could have melted in my chair from how good the flavors of the chicken, vegetables, and sauce all combined.

Not that I can afford to do it often, but we will DEFINITELY be going back.

Went for the fish fry today!! It was excellent!! The batter was light and the fish was high quality!! The French fries were amazing. I'd love to know how they make them!! The server was excellent. The staff were friendly and they take good care of you!! My group of three all had the fish fry. But one was the fresh walleye. It was tender and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice. This is the kind of place to take someone special to. It has a large wine list. It serves French cuisine as it is a bistro. Prices per meal are in the 20 to 35 dollar range!! Which is well worth the price for this quality!! The Discerning diner will appreciate the quality offered. I will be back again!!

My family and friends have spent many years coming to Pastiche, celebrating special events, including my mom's recent celebration of life after her passing at 99 years old. I couldn't have asked for more. The food was, as always, spectacular, and in this particular instance a perfect buffet of splendid tastes and beauty. The desserts, lovingly prepared by Angela, were a burst of flavor to further sweeten a beautiful, yet emotional afternoon. As always, Mike, Angela, Frank and the staff were beyond hospitable and, as always, we felt part of the Pastiche family. The perfect blend of class, flavor, and welcome. All I can say is, if you love food, don't miss Pastiche Bistro. Thank you Mike, Angela and Frank!

You can’t ask for a better atmosphere, the staff…… Frank, Danny, Kimmie and all the other employees treat you like friends not customers that they just met. They engage as they have known you for years. The food is amazing and you can’t get any better with the steak…… cooked to your liking not under and not over. I will be back and if you want an old fashion the way they should be this is the place. Thanks for the amazing service Pastiches….

Delicious meal again after quite some time and our first visit to the Brown Deer location. Cassoleut was awesome and extremely filling. Miss the original merguez from years ago in Bay View but still very good. Great portion, especially for the price. Monkfish special was a very large piece with a beer tasty lobster sauce. Creme brulee was such a great ending even though we were more than full.

A fantastic and unique restaurant with great owners/operators. Wish I was closer to this restaurant. I'm surprised when I talk to people in their area that aren't familiar with it. It is a must, unless of course you don't like traditional French food. My favorite is the skate wing!! Raie au Beurre Noisette.

We hadn't yet gone to the new location and I'm so glad we did. Top notch food in the perfect setting. Can't wait to go back.

Me and my fiancée live close and frequent this establishment for either soup and drinks, or a meal. The atmosphere is very… cozy. It’s hard to explain but when you walk in it makes you feel as if you’re amongst family (as far as i know some employees are family) but also just the mood that is set and the ambiance. One of our favorite touches is that a lot of the decor (my favorite is the mens bathroom) and bar glasses look thrifted which even if they are not, we think is cool.

As far as the food goes the onion soup is the best we’ve ever had and is incomparable to any soup i’ve ever had. Every single entrée we’ve had has had a perfect balance of elegant, flavorful, comforting, and can tell the chef and kitchen staff put their heart into it.

The bartender, which we’ve only ever seen one of, is very talented in the creation and making of beverages and does a great job balancing strength and flavor.

We will always patronize this restaurant and love eating here.

Everything is always delicious! The soup is the best french onion I’ve ever had, cocktails are fun and strong, and dessert is always delightful!

Pastiche is one of my favorite restaurants! Delicious food, wine and cocktails! Not to mention the exceptional staff and service :) I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy, welcoming environment 💕
