The Community Tap

A long time personal favorite. The Community Tap boasts an amazing selection of craft beer, both on draft for on-site consumption and plenty of cans or bottles for take-home options. They also have a nicely curated wine selection in addition to some ciders or seltzers if that’s your jam. No kitchen, but they offer some small snacks or cheeses to accompany your drink - and they regularly have food trucks almost every evening.

Even with their awesome beverage choices, the crown jewel of The Community Tap is the staff. Always friendly. Capable of educating you without being remotely condescending. Exceptionally knowledgeable of their offerings. Zach, Neil, and Kelsey have never steered me wrong, and I wish I had the time and space to name every one of their staff.

Truly a pillar of Greenville’s craft beer scene.

Very nice selection of beer. They have a fair amount of wine as well, but I paid no mind to it. They to go beer was pricey but they did have a large variety to choose from. So while some 4 packs are $28 (no joke) you can still find a 6 pack for $10.

They have a nice selection of beer on tap to enjoy there as well. Tons of indoor seating, and more out back on a deck, or in the parking lot covered by a tent with tables and benches. They kept the place nice and clean as well! I will go back.

Knowledgeable staff, extensive selection of packaged wines, ciders, and beer. 20 taps with local and national brews on draft. Smaller but thoughtful list of wines and ciders by the glass. Consistent food truck presence and plenty of seating indoors and out. Comfortable when flying solo for a post-work drink or with a group for a lunch time meeting.

Update (COVID) - holy wow did they do a phenomenal job adapting to the chaos that is COVID in South Carolina. From getting inventory online and available for purchase to staff being available, helpful, and kind. Love them even more than I did before!

Best beer selection in the upstate. If you haven’t tried them, Burlington Beer Co beers from Vermont are next level.

I have been snoozing on this place! Been twice in the last few weeks now. Love it. Great atmosphere for a Saturday. Love the variety of beers.

Love that you can buy from the store and stock up on six packs or come in for a couple and hangout. They also have complimentary pretzels available for when you stay a while.

Pro tip: this place is great for rainy weekends. They’ve got a big selection of board games.

Great beer pub with a very creative assortment of carefully selected draft beer. If you tell the bartender what you like he'll recommend 3 - 4 selections to try. It's a cool space for conversation and the beer store has the most amazing selection of craft and specialty beer. It's rare for a beer store to have one of my favorites and this one had 3 of my top five! I bought two and took them home to get them on ice. Cheers!!!

Home base for locals. Well curated taps, constant rotation, food trucks 6-7 days a week. Bonus points for wine, bubbles, and kombucha that the non-beer drinkers in your crew will actually enjoy, not just settle for. Honestly, this place is so much more than a bar, it's the kind of miracle that you can't plan, it has to *happen* over many years.

I’ve been to both locations, solid people, good vibe, great selection.

Last time I went, they were sampling sandwiches from Harry’s hoagies and watching Philadelphia play, so it was a very good day.

Love sitting out on the back porch, munching on brussel sprouts from Automatic Taco, drinking delicious beer, and hanging out with friends. Love spending evenings at the Community Tap.

Excellent spot! They have a great beer and wine selection and very knowledgeable staff. They also have a great rotation of local food trucks that have some amazing food! (The Black Thai is outstanding!) The outdoor patio area is a great spot to hang out when the weather is nice.

Awesome beer selection, both for drinking on site and for purchase to take home. Food is not served indoors but can be purchased from food trucks in the parking lot and brought inside. Check their website for the food truck schedule. They close early (since it's a "tasting room" and not a bar) so be ready to leave on time!

Great local place for wine, beer, cider & seltzer. Whether shopping to take home or looking to relax and try one of their many drinks on tap with friends, this place more than likely has the exact beverage you are looking for.

Terrific local place with an excellent beer/cider/wine selection. Lots of to go options as well. Haven't checked out their food truck situation but the atmosphere is super friendly and conducive to drinking beer (my favorite activity of all time)

My family brought me to Community Tap years before we moved here and I applaud their growth, service and professionalism. Between their selection, service, wine club, events and food trucks there isn’t a better place in North Main!

They've really done a great job of actually building community at the Community Tap. The staff is friendly and helpful. The space is inviting. The selection is vast -- both beer and wine. Well done. If you are arriving at a busy time, give yourself extra time to find a parking place. They are popular.

The community tap is like family, I feel like every time I step through the door, I see a crew full of people who enjoy what they do for a living and they know everything there is to know about beer. If you have a question, they can certainly give you an answer and educate you at the same time !!The crew at Travelers rest is my favorite Anyone who works behind the bar is passionate in what they do for a living. They generally care about Helping you decide on your next drink and I do enjoy the samples to give me an idea on sampling the weeks new collection of beers. Anytime I’m here there’s always great people to talk to laugh and share ideas and stories!! You guys are an awesome establishment and I do really enjoy my time here!!
