We Took To the Woods - open seasonally

One of my favorite places to pop in and browse. The store is always beautifully curated and has a selection of old and new product. The parking lot is small, but parking along the nearby streets is usually easy. The shop is seasonal so be sure to check their social media to make sure they’re open.

One of the finest gift shops around. Every square inch is beautifully appointed. It's a treat just to soak up the atmosphere and to enjoy the scented candles.

Awesome space to find some really cool stuff. Not cheap. Period. Just wanted to make sure y’all saw that period. However if you have money to burn and a taste for the finer things in life this place will scratch your itch. It’s very well laid out and whoever did it has a very good eye. I am particularly fond of their candles - very richly scented.

What a wonderful shop tucked away on stone Ave. The staff are great and friendly and the merchandise is very "special".

Where do I begin! This hidden gem is right in the hustle of Stone Ave, but from the first pull of the door it's like stepping into another world. Hand poured candles greet you in every inch of this place and the decor and arrangements will tug you with a curiosity to look deeper. The longer you stay still, the more this place comes to life around you. I'm so excited to see what Bob has planned for the fall/winter season, as I know we will be sourcing family gifts from here.

Not only do the aesthetics wow you, but let's talk about DANIEL! He brought a warm smile, heartfelt conversation and just an entire mood all of his own. He loves what he does and it's reflected in how he carries himself and how he speaks about Bob and We Took To the Woods.

The staff and owners of We Took To The Woods are amazing people! They created a store that evokes an atmosphere and a response of comfort, calm and joy in all of their specialty curated items. This is the perfect store to drop into for that special gift you can’t find anywhere else and to forget the world for just a little while. One of their most amazing products to me is their handmade candles! The candles burn so long and burn the scent evenly down so that you get consistent scent gently in the background throughout the life of the candle. Since I discovered these candles, I don’t buy candles anywhere else. Other candles pale in comparison. Their scents are also unmatched in creativity in my opinion. Their customer service is also excellent. Recently I ordered candles online through the store. When they were not delivered by USPS, they hand delivered them to my home. I’m fortunate to live in the area. Doesn’t get any better than that!

Truly unique locally owned and operated store. First of all, it smells like Christmas and leather and a river when you walk in. The store is cozy and inviting, there is so much to look at and shop for here. You can find hand crafted candles made by the store's owner. I saw a handcrafted Norwegian hatchet, vintage flasks, leather coats and briefcases, glassware. Really great selection of stuff. Great shop.

We Took to the Woods is an experience. This family-owned business has mastered the art of atmosphere. They have created a space you want to linger.

Friendly staff, exceptional merchandise. Only bad thing is it's a seasonal place so it's open part of the year and not open sometimes.
