City Tavern

We loved the diversity in clientele in this location. They have more of a classic rock type of musical vibe. It is open. Does not spotless to be a live music sort of establishment.

There is a patio up front for people watching and those with their canine or other companions.

We did not eat, so no food reviews. Their menu is standard bar fare, though.

The bartenders were courteous. Not really a big party spot at 8pm on a Sunday, but still fun.

Great place for me and my lovely wife to hang out at on a date night or after work quick drink. The frozen daiquiri’s are great, and they also make great shots. Their chicken wings are the best in Greenville, we get the Hot teriyaki every time we go. One visit they gave me some Damn Hot sauce on the side they have, freaking awesome. Prices are good and they are usually not over crowded. Downtown Greenville is awesome, and they make it even better

Came here Saturday night after we left Neat to celebrate my birthday a few days early. I was introduced to the tide/paladin slush. What an amazing idea! The music was on point and City Tavern is just a great place.

This is always our first stop in Greenville! M-F happy hour with awesome deals; see pic. Frozen drinks are all great, I’ve had every one of them. The bartender is super cool and she’s always friendly. We’ve had a handful of appetizers and all are tasty 😋 Outside seating too.

Greenville has a lot to offer and City Tavern is the local hangout spot to meet genuine people. Whether you’re a visitor or lived here your whole life this is the spot to have a good time. It can be a bit wild during my the weekends but the vibes and staff make you feel at home.

Great laid back bar. David is an awesome bartender! Beer was cold. Wings and tots made to perfection.

Good bar to chill at they have good drinks especially their iced drinks are amazing and they have live music from time to time as well, haven't tried the food though

Nice little bar in the heart of downtown Greenville. Emily was the bar tender, and she was very nice and helpful in choosing a good beer. She also made mention of some places to eat in town, with good food and reasonable prices. They do have bar food at City Tavern, but I was looking for something different.

5 Dive Bar Stars! If your looking for refined, go elsewhere. But, if you want strong slushies, music to dance to, and friends to laugh with than you will love City Tavern.

Great and laid back people! Karaoke with DJ Puddin was awesome Sunday and Tuesday nights! Great singers and fun crowd!

190 Tiger in the tank...frozen mango drink was numero uno! Electric frozen drink was number 2 for us. We sat on the outside to ppl watch and chatted with other customers.

Frozen slushy drinks are a must. Also might add, some of the best bar food I have ever had. Actually decided to go here a few times strictly for dinner! Fried pickles and Cajun Philly cheesesteak are both exceptional.

Decent drinks but bartender needed help

Went for karaoke night the place was packed! So much fun, though the Flat Earther's convention kinda crashed it, but it was more hilarious than anything. Drinks (especially the slushies) were amazing, and don't even get me STARTED on the food! We had the wings and fries and I don't even get food cooked that well from . If you ever go to Greenville, and like to have a good time with drinks, music, entertainment, and food, City Tavern is an absolute must.
