I've only been to the Phoenix, AZ HRO- this one is huge by comparison. Friendly staff, was able to pick up my online order on my way to Green Bay and they helped me save a few bucks on a component. Thanks!

What's not to like about being able to visit a real brick-and-mortar store and get answers from your fellow hams? Just be aware of Milwaukee road construction making store access challenging at times.

The people at the HRO in Milwaukee are awesome, both in store and online orders. They are both knowledgeable and customer service focused. I have had some complex orders in the past and they have gone above and beyond to help out. Prices are competitive and web orders are processed immediately when submitted. I live about 90 miles from the store, and it is not uncommon to have items ordered the next day. Excellent work HRO!!!

As far as I can recall, every one of my purchasing experiences at HRO has been great. Good pre- and after-sales customer service (with only one almost irrelevant exception); reasonable prices (usually very similar to their competitors'), very fast shipping times, and responsible business practices (AFAIK).
I'm sad to see a few unfair (unreasonable) 1-star reviews.
They do their best and follow health/safety guidelines and recommendations. I'm sure their sales have been negatively affected, as it has happened everywhere in the last 3 years, but they do the right thing, which sadly is rare nowadays.

Absolutely awesome service. Placed on online order over the weekend for a new HT - and had one of their staff call me within about 15 minutes of placing the order to suggest a cheaper alternative for one of the purchased products. Items were shipped out the very next business day, and in my hands a day later. Couldn't be happier (wasn't my first HRO purchase, but this one really displayed how seriously they take customer service).

The staff are friendly and helpful. In my several dealings with them they have proven to be both experienced and patient, which is a great combination. The also ship purchases very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this store to others.

Always a great experience. These guys are the unsung experts in electronics. Radio Shack used to be this good, and HRO is one of the few remaining places that supplies and assists the ham radio community.

Been back a few times post COVID - one of the largest ham radio stores anywhere, and still friendly and helpful. I have to drive a couple hours to get there, so that tells you it is worth it.

I spoke with Gregg over email. He advised me EXACTLY what I needed. He was spot on! The Comet antenna I received was packaged very well and so easy to install! This antenna is sturdy and the hinge to bend it over for clearance issues is VERY well built. Previously I was swindled by an Chinese knock off that broke in 2 days. NOT FROM THIS STORE. I bought it from Amazon. The antenna I was suggested works like a charm! I want to thank the professionalism and putting up with my multiple emails to Gregg. I know next to nothing about ham radios, but I needed an adapter for a VCR I’m attempting to resurrect and hoped they might have the part. The gentlemen in the store greeted me right away. The one who assisted me knew exactly where the tiny piece I needed was, which was impressive considering the sheer volume of items in the store. And the price was great. When I asked, “What the heck do you all sell here?” he took time to give me the nickel tour, which was really interesting. There are lots of neat items here, even for those that aren’t (yet) ham radio enthusiasts - think super cool items for the science-y kid or adult in your life. And possibly neat project ideas for homeschoolers.

The store was quite busy! Employees were putting together online orders for shipping. Even though I knew zero, I was assisted and treated with total respect. Great store and personnel. Bravo for a local business kicking butt on every level. Northern Milwaukee needs more success stories like you.

Tom Pachner, Manager at the Milwaukee location, is a great asset to HRO incorporated. I am not an easy person to please, in that I require the highest standard of service after the sale. I brought to Tom an issue with a product I purchased that was received with a specific operational defect. Just the best! Showroom is full of equipment and the demo shelves full of radios that you can touch and test. Pricing is good. If you call and want anything shipped it goes out that day. If it isn't in this location, it will still ship from one of the other stores across the country the same day.

I placed my order for the VS-70M-AP Astron power supply on 10-30-20 and I recieved it on 10-31-20.
Ptoduct packaging is over the top for shipping the power supply!! As always I'm very happy with the way HRO packages their products.
Customer service is exceptional at the Milwaukee Wisconsin store location.

I have been supporting Milwaukee and AES for decades. Here comes HRO buying out AES and I will say I am not disappointed, rather I could not be more pleased. I can say I have purchased MANY HF rigs and have dealt with about everyone of the staff one on one. Tom, Paul, Gregg, KC, etc. and will say the time and care from this staff has been second to NONE. The shipping department has been absolutely flawless and immediate same day shipping and pushes those envelopes for perfection!!! We thank you HRO Milwaukee for your care and stocking so well for us!!! P.S. I so do miss Mr. Miles and the second to none service department though.
