Hands down THE BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had. The prices are very reasonable, the customers service is great and the facility is clean! I love this place!

We showed up with a large party of 10 people on a Friday night. The staff seated us all quickly, and took our orders. The food was great, the service was exceptional as well.
If you in the area this is must stop spot for great food.

The omelette was very nice.. never had this taste anywhere.!! Liked the way it was cooked with cheese. The hot chocolate is also very nice.! Try a cold chocolate too it’s good.! The burrito very nice we had for lunch must try.!

I ordered the parilla, made everyone turn and look from the smell and sizzling. Food was delicious, comes out quick too! Servers were attentive, no complaints.

Smaller place. The beans are some of the best I've had. Meats are well seasoned and cooked well. Will probably be a go to breakfast spot Everytime I roll through this small town.

The El Tapatio on the hill always wins as compared to the El Tapatio in town. The food is great at both, but the staff is quicker, better service, and overall a better team.

The food was great.. service good and timely.. don't think flour tortillas were made in-house.. other than tortillas, everything else was a winner.. if you're hungry for mex. food, I recommend this restraunt.. you will not be disappointed.

Wow, never would have guessed the food would be so good. Chip's and Salsa was on point. Even though the menu is overwhelming, the waiter was very helpful in helping us with our selection. The Beef Fajitas were amazing!! The charro beans were perfect as well. We will be back!!

I was craving shrimp tacos and this place satisfied that craving. We started out with chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa had just enough bite to make it perfect. We added salsa con queso but it was really just a yellow cheese sauce and left a little to be desired. There wasn't any salsa in or heat to it. It did pair nicely with my tacos.

I ended up with two tacos which was more than enough to fill me up with the chips and salsa appetizer. We sat around long enough for me to make room for fried ice cream. I remember begging my mother to buy it for me when I was a kid and I was excited to see it on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my memories. I can't fault the restaurant for that because I haven't had it in such a long time. It was good- just not as good as I remembered it being.

This place will be on my list the next time I visit Gatesville. There were a lot of items I would like to try from their menu and the staff was so pleasant that it negates a mild salsa con queso.

Good food, reasonable prices, nice staff. You can always depend on a Mexican restaurant like this.

Barbaro was great. Corn Chips were great, salsa is beautiful flavor.

I went here for the first time today and I was really impressed! The food was great and the service was very quick. It seemed more expensive than I thought it'd be ($22.50 for a quesadilla, lemonade and queso for the chips)

Great food very small building they need a bigger building food was not overpriced very hot served fast cooked to perfection 🥳🥳🥳

Restaurant is small, but the food is great. We order it to go and take it home. Their servings are big and I feel many of them you could split with another person. I get the Mixed Plate a lot and it makes 2 meals for me every time.

Always a pleasure eating here. The portions are plenty and the food delicious.

Great food at a good price ! The chips are thick enough to where they don't break in the salsa. The service was excellent and they have a menu that contains more than 7 or 8 different items. FYI parking can be tight at time. There is a reason for that. You will know why after your first bite. HAPPY EATING Y'ALL !!!!!
