I really appreciated the reminders to renew my registration (text, email and voicemail). When it turned out my car needed a serious repair I was not only shown what was broken and explained why it needed to be fixed but I was also given a courtesy ride home seeing how it would take a few hours to fix. Later I was notified when my car was ready. I really like how they were quick to reply to messages. The whole process was really nice and easy.

Randy greeted me with a smile every time I walked in. He showed me photos and videos of the issues with my car. Great service, quick turnaround, and Randy even added some discount for me which was a really pleasant surprise. I plan to bring my Jeep back to Newman’s whenever I have an issue.

I have been looking for an honest mechanic shop here in Austin that I can trust, and I have found it! My father owns a shop of similar size in another state and after moving away I had a few bad experiences with care for my car. After working with Julian for an oil change, new tires, and an alignment I am just delighted. This shop will get all my business in the future. The pricing is fair, the work was quality, and the team was patient and kind. Would highly recommend.

First time here; but, service was great. Ryan was awesome and super helpful with getting me a ride to work after i dropped my truck off. Super transparent with the work needed, fair priced and finished extremely quickly. Would highly recommend coming here with your vehicle for service

Absolutely amazing service from Newman‘s Automotive. I’ve been needing to get my car brakes serviced for some time, and just happened to receive a direct mailer from them. From the very first phone call I felt certain I would be in good hands.

They Were extremely efficient, Sent videos and detailed explanations of every repair, covered the cost of Lyfts To and from my house, And most importantly didn’t charge me for anything I didn’t need.

Also…they accept Synchrony Care Credit which was so helpful!

I would highly recommend this business to friends and family and intend to make them my go to car service provider Moving forward.

Newman's friendly and knowledgeable staff always take excellent care of me and my vehicle. They have my one and only auto shop since I moved here 6 years ago because I trust them, they don't treat me like I don't know anything about mechanics because I'm a female, they don't overcharge for services or create work that doesn't need to be done. Newman's did a more thorough review of my older car's condition than the dealership ever did, and much needed safety repairs are now under way. Everyone I met at Newman's (5 so far) is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. My "Old Betsy" may make it another 20 years with their good care. I definitely recommend Newman's.

Honestly, I’m fairly new to Austin. I took a chance here based on the reviews and all I can say is that I got so lucky! Genuinely, the nicest customer service. Look, I’m just a deer in headlights when it comes to car things and my family lives 5 hours away. They helped me get a tow, gave me a price first before starting anything, gave me updates.. and gave me inspection results of what was found. I even had them talk to my dad instead of me and the communication was seamless. Idk. It made me feel really close to home and like I had family near by. Which now that I have my car back I’m making my way down to visit. Anyway! 10/10.

I have a 2014 Mercedes C250 and the front passenger door would not open. I know the dealership would have charged me a lot to get this done, so I took my car to Newman's. I was skeptical whether they could do it or not, but to my wonderful surprise, they did it and only charged me a fraction of what I knew the dealer would have charged me. I have worked maintenance all of my life and there are a lot of things I can do to repair my car, but this door was not one of them. Once they removed the panel, they said they could replace the handle or I could do it. I told them I would replace the handle, but was in such a state of amazement from their ability to remove that door panel, especially seeing the bottom part of the door panel was right up against the frame of the car when you close the door. I did tell them once I got my car back that they are certainly the shop I will use as long as I am living in Austin.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been treated as kindly by a business as I was by these guys. By the time I left, I felt like I’d made a few friends. It’s not a cheap garage, but they don’t claim to be one. I’ll pay a little more to feel like the shop genuinely cares about my car, which I rely on to earn a living. Also they listen to great music in the shop, and the shop dog Linus is super nice. I had the pleasure of being helped by the owner on my first visit. Very kind and genuine business they are running here. Brought a car in for a buyers inspection and thank goodness they did such a thorough job for me because the car ended up needing $6k in repairs (didn’t buy the car). No matter what car I end up buying, I won’t go to another mechanic in town. First impression here was outstanding. Each of the employees were just as friendly and warm as the owner. I recently visited Newman's Automotive for an oil change and some repairs on my vehicle, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and at ease.

They took the time to thoroughly explain the issues with my car in detail, breaking down the necessary repairs and why they were needed. What really stood out to me was their approach - there was absolutely no pressure to upsell or push unnecessary services. They simply presented the facts and allowed me to make an informed decision about how to proceed.. I definitely will recommend them to anyone in need of honest, reliable service.

Great service on my 2 older cars. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Quicker turn-around than at a dealership. I have thanked the person who recommended Newman's to me, and recommend them to your.

Car stuff is tough if you don’t know anything about cars. I’ve been to half a dozen places in South Austin but Newman’s is hands down the best. They are kind without making you feel dumb, they are helpful and honest. I sat in their lobby for an hour waiting for my car to be inspected and every single interaction between me and them, them and other customers and between their own team was professional, kind and courteous. I had an additional problem with my car and they offered to help me explore my options without the pressure of having it done today which isn’t something you see all of the time. Definitely give them a chance, they are worth every penny.

Right from the very beginning the staff (specifically Ryan) has been extremely helpful, informative, and transparent with me about what work needs to be done and the priority of when it needs to be taken care of. Their hospitality has eased my stress and I never once felt taken advantage of just to get more money in their pocket. Newman's has a new customer for life and I will forever be thankful for this experience.

This isn't my first experience with Newman's Automotive. As true to form they took care of my F150 like the pros they are. You might pay a tad more but you get real pros. I would recommend Randy and the gang at NEWMANS to anyone that likes to know their ride is in Capable hands. Thanks guys and tell that eye candy SANDY.....ILL BE BY FOR MY SHIRT.🤭

10/10 I would recommend Newman's Automotive for any car troubles, concerns, and second opinions. The team is extremely friendly and educated. They care about their customers and will go beyond to try to fix any sort of problems. They keep you posted on the process. They have very good systems on showing estimates, services, and prices. And overall, they are very fast. It's a breath of fresh air to find a shop that I can trust and know when I come in I will have a good experience. Thank you Newman's Automotive Team!!

David Newman and his staff were friendly, informative and helpful. They went above and beyond to not only diagnose and fix my car, but they also drove it to and from the Subaru dealership so Subaru could address an open recall. I highly recommend them! Family feel to the company and extremely quick response times.

Went in for oil change and tire rotation. Their automated process for making appointments is great! Definitely recommend making an appointment as they are a popular shop. I was greeted promptly with friendly service. They even did an inspection and offered some suggestions based off the mileage of my jeep. They weren’t pushy at all saying I needed to get it done but just be mindful. They even took some photos of what could be fixed/replaced soon and loaded it to my profile so that I could access it at a later time. Will definitely go back for future service.
