I'm always nervous about trying new places for my hair because you never know the true skill level and professionalism until the service is over. I recently moved here in the area, and I was caught off guard by the website because it played music. I thought, "Oh no... This place is going to ratchet." LOL. (Sorry but true only because of past experiences.) But I definitely misjudged and was nervous for nothing! It is a nice, professional place, and I felt very VIP because Lady A herself did my hair and on a day they weren't even open (Tuesday)!!! I got my hair done by the owner of the hair place on her day off, so I feel pretty famous like a privileged superstar now my ego pretty high. Lol. The place is really nice, too. I usually get my hair done at African Braiding Hair Places and most of their places are simple enough to get my hair done, but Lady A had a super cool glass fish tank table already there as soon as I walked in. I was already impressed by that and the decor. The place was kept like someone that actually wants the best for her business and you can tell it's a nice place to go. I really admired this woman, her business, and her braiding skills. The prices were fair as well, so anyone looking to get their hair braided, I recommend this place. I've had such bad experiences before at hair places, so I'm glad to have found the new place I can go to get my hair done in this new area without having to keep searching and losing money. I found one on the first try :)

This is hands down the best salon I've been to!!! Everyone in the salon is nice and always seem to be in good spirits. I've never had to wait long to be seated in the styling chair. It's clean and you just feel comfortable here. I've been to Mrs. A, Ms. Keria and Ms. Kajha and they all are amazing stylists. Will definitely be going back. Lady A's feel like home.

The experience was just outright amazing, Phone call was very smooth and easy to make an appointment, reasonable price for the 2 strand twist I got, they offered me snacks and drinks, then the whole scene of the shop is wonderful. All the ladies in there are professional so you dont have to worry about that. Took at most 2 hours to get my twist done. Highly recommended

My recent appointment was wonderful. The natural style for the New Year was perfect. Definitely in my Nubian Queen Grown Woman Professional Slay Mode. The Fur'Mae Glamorous Hair is high quality, easy maintenance, and beautiful for natural styles. The pic says it all. Excited about my next appointment and the creation Lady A will bless me with.

This has been, hands down, the best hair salon/studio experience I've ever had! The professionalism, the care, the communication was superb. Ten out of ten, recommend!!!

I am very careful about who I let touch my hair. With that being said I strongly recommend going to Lady A’s for your braiding needs. Everyone that works there is friendly and they do their best to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your service. I love that they keep their door locked, people are crazy. The first time I went April did my knotless braids and the second time Kajha did them. I was happy both times. Also I’ve never had someone offer to wash and condition my hair before doing my braids. Love them!

These ladies were absolutely professional, efficient, and understanding. It was my very first time getting anything done to my hair beyond a trim. They were accommodating and helped me even when I ended up asking for something I hadn’t booked for.

Very professional studio. You have to book a seat before you go. Walking customer is rarely serve. The atmosphere is good, friendly staffs. I will be going to braid my hair at Lady A’s some other time in the future.

Got my hair braided for the first time at Lady A’s and it was an awesome experience! Every one of the ladies in the salon were so sweet and welcoming and made me feel right at home. The process from start to finish was so easy even contacting them through email to ask questions, they were always quick to respond with all the info I needed. I was in and out so quick and the quality speaks for itself. I left feeling more confident than I have in years! Couldn’t be happier with this above and beyond experience. I will definitely be making Lady A’s my regular salon.

Lady A is the bomb. She understands the situation I have with thinning hair from previous chemotherapy treatment and takes that into consideration when doing my hair. I appreciate her taking the time to ensure my comfort level and care to not cause unnecessary pain when doing my hair. I'm going to continue to come back .plus the finished product is amazing. This is my 3rd appointment. This is my new permanent beautician! 5 stars!🌟

Edit: It’s now been 3 years since I first got my hair done at Lady A’s and I always get compliments on my hair! The new location is bigger (it’s huge) and better than ever! Fantastic quality of service as usual and the atmosphere is relaxing. I’m from the Houston area but have been living 3 hours away for several years and drive to Humble to get my hair done because I want my hair to look good. People always ask where I get my hair done and I tell them I go to Lady A’s because it’s worth the drive!

I've been going here for almost a year now and always leave very satisfied with my hair! I love that the studio is appointment-based because I feel like the focus is on me while I get my hair done and everyone there is very nice. I've had a variety of styles (box braids, twists, feed-in) that get tons of compliments with each new style. My mom loved how nice my hair always looks so much that she started going to Lady A's a few months ago. The prices are reasonable given the quality of service compared to other salons --- especially since several styles include hair. They are careful not to get my braids too tight and always keep me informed of the best way to maintain my braids as I finish up with my appointment. Also, the Lady A's leave-in conditioner works wonders on my hair! It took me a long time to find a quality studio to get my hair done and I'm so glad I don't have to look anymore!

Update: I still love this salon. It is always a great experience. Everyone is always very professional and helpful.

I love my box braids! This is my second visit to this salon for box braids and I love it. The first time I got the regular medium but this time I got the medium size free flowing kind with the wavy ends. The quality of the work is top notch! Beautiful and not too tight which is important to me. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted and my stylist began my hair at the appointment time. Everyone here is about customer service! The vibe here is very warm, friendly, and professional. It's a plus that I can watch movies while I get my hair done.

My first time at Lady A’s and the service I received was 8 feed in braids. Keara did a great job. She took her time to wash and condition my hair. Her work is very neat and the environment there is very pleasant. Everyone was so nice. I was acknowledged and greeted immediately when I walked through the door. I definitely recommend Keara for feed in braids.

I had my first appointment at this salon today with Lady Keara and the service was excellent all the way around. Prior to me coming in, I called twice, and the phone service was great. I emailed about a service and the email was returned with a quickness.
When I came to this appointment, I was greeted upon walk-in, and everyone was kind.
Lady Keara was especially attentive. She offered me water, asked if I was OK with what was on the television, showed me the first braid to see if I was OK with it, and was pleasurable the entire time. She only went to the restroom once during our 5 hour service. The salon was clean, and every single staff person was nice. I didn't feel dumb for any questions I asked, and I value when a business is polite, time oriented and does a good job.
I really enjoyed the style and the service was A+. I would definitely come back.

I am very picky on who does my hair and Lady A’s exceeded my expectations! The salon is clean and staff is always professional. I love the fact that it’s appointments only and I never have to wait. I get my hair done and get my hair products all at the same place. I also love her boutique which I will be getting some items the next time I go. At the end of each appointment I make sure I book my next appointment so that my hair stays on point.

I got knotless goddess box braids done here today by Lady A. She did a great job and made sure I got the colors that I wanted. The environment was inviting and comfortable. Everyone was friendly. I liked how movies were played while I was getting my hair done. I will definitely be returning!

Lady A and her daughter really did a wonderful job on my hair. Not only was my experience great, they were very accommodating to making you feel as comfortable as possible. They showed great professionalism, and made sure that I was happy with the results of my hair. My hair turned out really good, I got a lot of compliments on my hair, and I would definitely be coming back to get my hair hair done. April did a fabulous job on my crochet braids (looks like a weave). I visited various hair salons in Houston for protective styling this summer and Lady A's is the best for me! It's a pleasant environment, great customer service and beautiful, neat styling. And for the 1st time I my edges were not pulled too tight and my scalp was not irritated. The owner also use and sells her own products. The leave-in conditioner is amazing and I love how my hair looks and feels. I have found my new salon for all my style needs!

Had my first appt at Lady A's on Thursday and I can not say enough good things. First of all I found out last minute the lady who usually braids my hair does not do it anymore and I needed to find someone FAST! I looked up braiding on Google and Lady A's popped up with great reviews so I gave then a whirl. Called them and the very nice girl asked me to send her a pic of what I was looking for and she sent me a link to click and set up my appt which was the easiest process in the world. I also paid for it right than and there. They met me early Friday morning did my hair in half the time the website said and it look flawless. I will definitely be back to Lady A's for future services and will recommend to anyone I know looking to get their hair braided, thank u!
