I was at the Surgery 3rd Floor 12/17/20 and would like to express how one young lady made such a difference for me. Quaila was the Care taker Nurse during the day and she is awesome at what she does. Took very good care of me and I really appreciated how she cared for me. The others were good but she made the biggest impression on me.

Great staff. Attentive and courteous. Most of them have a great sense of humor, which helps. They're very accommodating, but BS isn't tolerated. Good.

The rooms aren't huge, but this isn't the Hilton. Patients are here to get better, not grumble about the lack of HBO and a garden tub.

I had a great experience here! Everyone was kind, engaging, and explained everything to me before and after my surgery. Very satisfied with my time here!

Nice rooms but no one comes to check on you on 4th floor. Was here as a CASH patient for elective procedure and experience wasn't great on nights. I was trying to get better and do the best thing for me. Nurse wouldn't remove my catheter even though I could walk and go to bathroom. I called the doctor who never responded. IV fluids almost dry. She was in my room at 8 and didn't come back to assess pain or check on me until 11 but they do "every two hour rounds". I had to suffer with the catheter because she didn't want to call the doc. I am an ER and ICU nurse and if my patients need or want something I do my best to accommodate them within reason. Catheters can cause infections. Had to call the doctor at night. Also rang the bell and nurse didn't come. Even the doctor was upset over that. Day nurse was excellent. But don't want to be here on nights!

Had an issue with a nurse caring for my husband. Reported her to the charge nurse. Next thing I knew, they had transferred my husband from their floor to another building/hospital and didn't even notify me!

I had the worst experience this time from start to finish. Thank God I was only there one day. There’s a bunch of smart mouthed staff that is too busy on their personal cell phones to give a damn what you need. IV was put put in very sloppy! Before I checked out it was a taped up bloody mess. Catheter was never secured properly by the nurse. I was in room 1526 and my nurse was Erica. Erica is 9 months pregnant at 4’10” tall and 4’ 10” wide she has no business being there. She had trouble with very simple tasks and couldn’t stay off her personal phone. Poor response when you need assistance. The food was the worst and late getting there Erica was the one to pull my catheter out and naturally she had trouble. She was on a personal call while attempting to do it and couldn’t get it out. She finally hung up and called for another nurse to help. I was in terrible pain and Erica just kept apologizing. Why does this hospital let everybody walk around with personal phones. It’s like having a bunch of drunks work on you. I will never ever go back to this hospital. It was awful!!!!! Erica has many issues, none of them is very appealing or professional

BEWARE when considering this hospital for after surgery care and or treatment.

Lydiah doesn't administrator medication timely in the Josson Building on the 6th floor after severe surgery.

She simply doesn't have the HEART of a nurse.

Lydiah ( day shift nurse) NOT timely administering medicine and doesn't listen to the patient when providing feedback about pain...makng it absolutely impossible to regulate pain. I hadn't slept for a day and a half due to pain and the room was kept at
60 degrees half the day and 80 degrees the other half.

Ricky (night shift manager) very dismissive, tried to not only defend Lydiah but make me feel belittled, incompetent and spoke to me as if I was to either take the medication or I could leave the hospital against medical treatment advised by the hospital. Then stated, Lydiah wasn't available for him to ask her why she didnt administrator the medication as the surgeon intended. Also stated she could've been concerned about my safety. 🤷🏾‍♀🤦🏾‍♀ I personally think if that was TRUE she would have contacted the surgeon directly. I don't believe the surgeon would order medication that would cause a safety issue.

The only thing good to say about Jonsson 6th floor is thank GOD for Alex (night nurse) who saved the day and willingly went the extra mile to make sure the 12 hours she spent with me were not only productive but positive and informative as well. She took the time to EXPLAIN every drug, it's purpose and risk. In additon to that, she rotated the medication accordingly to prevent any safety concerns (FYI, i never had any side effects). She also coordinated the PT time which Lydiah wasn't able to do so I wasn't in so much pain when moving around. ALEX deserves to be recognized and rewarded for exceptional nurse care and patient specific care.

Shout-out to Will, Johonna, Alex, Wayne, Marcia, Krystal and Alahandra (she's new but built for this role) for your warm hearts. They all took pride in making the best of a bad situation so that I could focus on healing. I'm forever grateful for their efforts and supportive care.

This hospital needs some better supervision. The charge nurses need to keep a better watch on their nursing staff and make sure they tend to their patients needs sooner than they do! It took the staff 4 hrs. yesterday to finally get around to changing my wife’s PIC Line dressing after she told them it was irritating her because she has an allergic reaction to Latex and they already were told this when she first arrived so what’s the problem here people can’t hear 👂 or just choose to ignore patients complaints.

My Mother had the worst service from the nursing staff. She was there overnight and the staff didn’t seem to communicate with each other. She was bed-ridden and had to lay flat but the nursing staff kept trying to prop her up, which was very pain full when you are full of needles for radiation. She also could not eat because the food was brought in an sat at the end of her table, which she couldn’t reach!!! She asked for some yogurt and was told by the food service “that’s not my job, I just deliver the food.” She asked for water and they brought a pitcher and once again sat it at the end of the table. The transport staff repeatedly ran into the walls, and when she explained that it hurt her, she got no response. The nurse took her down to the wrong entrance when she was discharged and left her. My mother had to walk several blocks to get to her ride home. Worst service ever!!!!

Horrible experience with the anesthesiologist in the GI Department. Went in for biopsy of lungs, which was successfully done by my plumonologist. However, the anesthesiologist burnt the surrounding skin around my eyes and my eyelids. I am not allergic to adhesive, which they said caused the burn. My records on mychart can no longer be pulled up nor was I able to do the survey on the anesthesiologists. A month later, no recovery from injury.

1st trip 3 weeks ago, I had to clean my husband's bathroom, it was filthy. 6 hours and 5 requests later we were asking for a stool sample to be picked up, finally nurse came and washed it down the sink. Another nurse comes in drops gloves on floor, looks at them and walked away. I picked them up. Trash not picked up for 3 days. Mirror looked like it hadnt' been cleaned in months.
Nurse couldn't find vein for IV and my husband had to stop her from digging. By far the worst place I have been in or seen in 65 year.
Second trip today, cannot get anyone from transport. Valet short staffed, I finally got a chair from inside and I have been doing their job. Took husband to the bathroom, urine on floor and toilet seat behind registration. Had to clean it before he could use it. Great way to start trip number 2.
