This place literally has it all! From every single type of liquor to wine, beer and all the cocktail additives/mixers. Great security at the front. Most of the staff are helpful. And don't forget that tgey will charge you extra 5% fir a credit card transaction, - they call it "saving 5%" when you dodge the upcharge.

Amazing liquor store. If you are looking for something, most likely it will be here! Super nice staff and if you pay with cash, you get 5% off!

How does this place even exist? Better question: why doesn't it exist in more places? Of course the alcohol selection is tremendous and well-priced. But the food selection is simply unheard of. So many foods and drinks from all over the world in one place. And SO much fine cheese! I only wish I had a store like this near me.

You’ve got to come here at least once. Absolutely fantastic selection of wines and spirits, cheeses, and fine international snacks. Everything you need for a party. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Worth the drive.

I once again received advice to where my wife and I could find and purchase some great German and European beer. A Mr. David assisted me to find these 4 different beers and we were very very pleased with his help. And also at the checkout counter a wonderful young lady assisted me in locating another Spec's located near where my wife and I work at the 3 major hospitals in the Houston Medical Center. So thank you very very much Mr. David a [ Navy Veteran ] and the young lady who helped me also. And thanks to Spec's amazing selection to German and European beers and wines. GOD BLESS. Had a chance to do a meet and greet with the actor Jeremy Renner. He has a Vidka named "Sweetgrass". What fun!!

Spec’s midtown is by far the best location. If I could do all of my grocery shopping here I would and probably maybe even could. They have a huge deli and grocery section with speciality and staple foods/drinks in addition to the great beer/spirits selection, a must visit!

This is a SPEC’S flagship store. It has a MASSIVE selection of beer, wine and spirits. It has way more selections than a typical neighborhood SPEC’S.

In addition to the massive liquor offerings, it has a specialty food store that has international offerings and if you are hungry while you are there, it sports a deli counter and a bakery items that looked incredible.

The store also offered a wide selection of glassware, decanters and other specialty items.

All in all, an impressive store.

Lawd, I ate at Spec’s on Smith Rd 2/22/24. At the deli in back of the store you can place a hot order. On our very first trip to Houston, we here and oh Lawd! We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp basket. DELICIOUS!!!!! Mr. Charles battered and fried everything just perfect! Make sure you ask for extra of his special sauce!!!! The food is delicious and you can get all your “Spirit” beverage needs as well!!!! 10/10!

If this place doesn't have it it probably doesn't exist. Every time we're in Houston we stop here. It seems like there are more employees than there are patrons - which is very helpful. Every time I've asked a question where something is they go directly to it. They're very knowledgeable. I really miss them having samples due to the pandemic. But it's a great facility and I definitely recommend. The employees always seem super friendly and eager to help. An incredible amount of variety. You won't be disappointed.

Wow just wow! I came here on 12/30 to get a keg and stock up for an NYE party. It was mayhem but ran like a well-oiled machine. Dave in beer was super helpful, as were the 4 or so other folks who offered assistance while I was there. Also, the deli had some really unique items in addition to all the necessary staples.

For those that don’t know, there is a great deli in the back that serves up some fresh and awesome cold and hot sandwiches. They also have tones of sides and salads that have all been great. The staff back there was lots of fun and very friendly too! Amazing selection of everything you could ever want to drink.

Thank you to the great shipping team that helped me get a large order delivered quickly and efficiently. They followed up to update me on the status and helped when I had a problem with the FedEx delivery. Extremely reliable and helpful!

This is my favorite specs. They always have so many employees on the floor. I never have to look hard if I have a question, and all of the employees have been super friendly. They always have the drink I want. I also went to the deli and bakery and they were both amazing. I had no idea that specs made good food. Now I want to come back and have a date at specs because they just seems like so much fun now. Like wouldn’t it be fun to go to specs buy lunch and everything you need for an over the top cocktail go home eat and keep making and drinking the cocktail till you get it right lol

What an amazing selection of everything wine, snacks, beer and cigars. The staff is highly knowledgeable too if you get lost in the selections.

Was looking for Croatian wine and Grappa. The wine buyer was helpful w info but still unable to find any. I did get a good Grappa though!
I added some cranberry and a orange popsicle since I was out of ice 😀

Love going to the Specs in Midtown. Been coming here for 25 years. It has grown to where their food selection is as good as the alcohol selection. Every kind of booze you can imagine, hundreds of beers from all around the world, huge wine room with 10,000 wines to choose from. Coffee and cookies from all over the world. Huge cheese selection is one of the best in town. Every chocolate bar in the world. Old fashioned candies from the 60's and 70's. All kinds of upscale snacks like truffles and pate. Deli with great sandwiches. Very knowledgeable staff will find you just what you want and not always the most expensive. Armed security outside the door is comforting. Use cash or debit for 5% savings.

This my first time come here. This store so impressive me with lof of stuff and wine. I’m looking for the wine for my friend birthdays and the staff name Matt , he is friendly and professional and passionate with the job. I’ll back 😄
