Cooper's Cottage Childcare

I have worked at Coopers Cottage for 2 1/2 years and moved up to director! I can now say I absolutely love my job and being with these kids every day! Brandie the owner is absolutely amazing and loves these kids like they are her own just like I do! If i could give 100 stars i would!!

I have worked for Ms Brandie at coopers cottage for 3 years! My infant son goes there and we love it! It is small so the kids get more one on one interaction.
Most of the negative reviews are from ex employees that have quit on us with no notice or terminated for just cause. We now have a great team of teachers!
We did have a current employ who quit after only 2 weeks saying we don’t clean when in fact we deep clean every friday and l clean everyday. She left things unclean in her room and didn’t change diapers like required and her co workers had to pick up the slack. She was unhappy about being removed from the infant teacher position because she wanted to stay with her daughter all day.

Great place for my 17 month old! She is well taken care of and reaching all of her developmental milestones. I love the daycare providers here and very happy I chose this daycare!

Absolutely LOVE Coopers Cottage Childcare. My child has been enrolled with Coopers Cottage for about a year now and the owner is amazing. She put my mind at ease when we made the switch to daycare and always made me as the parent feel super conformable with leaving my son in her care. And since my son has been enrolled we have seen so much developmental growth and he loves going to school everyday.

I have just put my girls into this daycare and already I can see how wonderful the staff is! They are so friendly and love my girls already. We just moved to the area and good childcare is so important. We are fortunate to have found Cooper's cottage. Thank you!

The Director is rude, has no customer service skills, and makes up her own rules on "state requirements ". Too many ridiculous situations transpired within 2 days. I had paid for 3 days... and didn't care. You can have that extra day. I should've read the reviews. She Cleary has a pattern and must be socially unaware of the way she comes across. Hilarious that 2 of the 5 star reviews are from someone who worked there. Nice way to try and get your ratings up. But there Cleary a trend and a common denominator.

Arrived today for a tour and upon entering there was a very strong disgusting odor. Bri opened the door for my daughter and I. She was less than welcoming. Never acknowledged my daughter and gave a sense of "what are you doing here". Please note, I spoke to the Director the day before and was told to come at the time I arrived. I wasn't given any information nor was I allowed to look around. POC keep your children from this location! Less than professional and unsanitary.

I put my 2 month into this daycare thinking it was wonderful. Brandie who’s the owner and director really does sell it during the tours. I was told everything is cleaned and wiped down constantly and deep cleaned every Friday. My daughters first week at this daycare she developed RSV and is now currently admitted into the hospital on oxygen. At drop off, they allow kids in who are coughing up lungs without questioning parents at all. When asked if they had any sick kids currently I was told just “allergies”. There’s no way this facility is deep cleaned if at the end of the day 1 out of your 3 employees are still there.
Another issue was ratio. Almost every morning there would be one employee to about 10-15 kids of all different ages. At pick up one day I saw an older school aged kid INSIDE the infant room as it was a normal thing and was only told to get out of the infant room once they noticed I was there.
I tried speaking with Brandie letting her know what was going on with my daughter and she didn’t seem understanding at all. I had already made a payment for her 2nd week and asked if this could be moved to the following week and it was a flat out no despite knowing my daughter was extremely sick with RSV that she had caught at her daycare. When I went to pick up the rest of her belongings I was told I needed to give a “2 week notice” as if I was supposed to continue taking my very SICK 2 month old and continue paying them after they’ve already got a whole week paid for when my daughter is in the hospital and wouldn’t be attending.
This daycare can one day be an amazing facility if they get the proper amount of staff and training.

HORIBLE DAYCARE. I highly discorage this daycare, i have never been one to leave a review but i have never felt such a discomfort for the care of my child. I pulled him the same day he started, the owner is completely unprofessional not to mention sketchy. She does not allow parents to show up without calling, refuses to let parents pick up from classroom (which she gave me a tour of the wrong classroom). All around NO, the owner needs to be looked into.

My son's teacher was sweet hope she stays although I've seen a big turn over on employees. In the tour they are great about selling the daycare but that's it. Too many times a week my child would come home and when asked what he did at daycare he said watched a movie. For the amount you pay you're better off paying the kid down the street.

The owner was very unprofessional and rude at times. I pulled my son out for several reasons and took him to another school which he showed major improvement at. I will leave out details but just know that the children only eat and watch movies and play in a field behind the school. This is not a daycare for children over 12 months old. She clearly only wants to take care of babies and has no room, curriculum, or time for older children. Also I wanted to add, it was so frightening to think that the field in the back of the school was only guarded by a flimsy fence. Someone could bend over and just snatch one if the kids. Not safe at all and the grass is rarely kept cut low. I feel like if you don't have the funds to start your daycare then wait until you get more funding.

Zero stars if it would let me. Owner is very rude to say the least. My child last all of 2hrs and was kicking and screaming because he was so uncomfortable and was dismissed. Then the whole weeks money was kept on top of that. Really, you made a decision within 2hrs??? My child is doing well since then with the child care after this horrible disaster. I would not recommend this place for pets not to mention children.

A two week notice before canceling daycare shouldn’t apply when you can’t handle a child on THE first day and suspend them the next. I think registration fees and a full week of daycare is enough for not even lasting a full day after being well aware of his behavior before he came. Also to top it off, Being threatened with cps for not arriving fast enough to get my child is a FIRST.
