El Rio Grande Latin Market

I went to Rio Grande Latin Market for the first time and was so impressed, I will probably never go back to Walmart for my groceries. The market has a wonderful fresh produce department, a panaderia, a butcher and seafood shop, and a kitchen with meal ready Mexican carry out. Everything was neat and clean, colorful, with a hometown mercado vibe. I really enjoyed my visit and will go there now every week.

This experience was interesting. So sorry to those that are a little squeamish with the pictures I added) I was asking if I had ever roasted a whole pig before and I had but I didn't think I was going to be doing it again. After calling around for a 20lb roasting pig this store was able to order one for me and have it at the store for me to thaw it out and inject it and roast it in time for their Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and the butcher that helped me even helped me get it in my car. Now my only issues are first when I called in about ordering one and the pricing I was told that it was going to be $7.99 a lb but when I ordered it the very next day it went to $8.99 a lb. Also there was a language barrier both over the phone and while I was there since I don't speak Spanish and apparently they didn't understand English very well. So getting them to understand that I needed a whole roasting pig was very difficult. There was a lady behind me when I got there to pick the pig up told me that she needed to learn Spanish if she wanted to get helped (and she was Hispanic or TexMex as she called herself LoL) I thought that was quite rude of them. If it wasn't for another worker that understood what I was talking about I still would have had issues. All said and done the pig was a success and I'll definitely be back to shop at this store since they have a lot to offer and I want to go back when I'm not in a rush.

Great place to go for Latin ingredients, snacks, and houseware. Veggies and fruit reasonably priced as well. The employees are always helpful.

01/20/2023-Hubby and I have taken a liking to the pan dulce. The empanadas are yummy and they have plenty of filling. If you have time I recommend you walk thru the store to find sale items that are not on their ad. It may be difficult to find parking when they're busy.

09/23/2023-I stopped in briefly to buy some Blue Bell Ice Cream. Luckily no long lines or wait👌

12/03/2023- This store stays busy! I went in to grab a few things. There are always employees on hand to answer questions. The pan dulce is delish. I found the corn husk and potatoes on sale here.

Such fun going to a Latin market. They have branched out to serving the Mediterranean market goers as well. Great fresh selection...and I mean great. Nice deli with tables to eat. Huge meat counter with good prices. Separate cheese and lamb counter. You want it...theyhave it!

Wonderful Latin market in Mesquite Texas! A great place to shop authentic Latin foods and more. They also have a wonderful deli where you will find tacos, rice and beans, burritos, homemade juices, etc. A great place to bring the entire family for lunch or dinner.

Awesome prices and wide variety of food. Always fresh and a lot of inventory.

When you like just found out the store is more better than the previous visit . Can find it all, thanks for assuring us your store is putting your costumers First.

Always nice & clean. You can find everything you're looking for to make you authentic Mexican food. They also always have nice sales going on every week , you just need to get the sale newspaper once you go inside.

This is a great store to shop at it is very clean, and they have many Latino products to choose from.

Wonderful experience, my wife asked me time after time,to come with her since it's a drive but definitely worth thanks to Edward ,everything was sorted out perfectly and jose extremely kind and helpful,, people like ya make the difference 👍👍

This store has a great staff! I love coming here the store is always very clean and kept well stocked. The always have amazing produce.

Place is clean and looks great. Great assortment of cakes, pan dulce and the Deli item's. They also have a juice bar.

Good prices, variety of choices and friendly people attending.

Pretty nice super market, huge space, well stocked and easy to get to from where we stay in Forney. Located in a shopping center with several other businesses including a Beauty supply store, DDs, Hobby Lobby, TacoBell, Jack in the box, a couple gas stations across the street, a Chili's located a couple miles away........ great location. My fist time visiting this area and don't have to drive far to get to quite a few places. It's great.
