The Hollow Restaurant

Yet another example of the hidden gems you can find in small towns. The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were very kind. The blooming onion actually had a lot of onion in each piece- unlike most restaurants, which have more breading than onion! My club sandwich was worth the price, and was filled with meat and cheese. The building had a nice interior and a very friendly atmosphere. Easily one of my top five restaurants- would go again!

Great breakfast and so cheap. If you are visiting Sprice Knob or the surrounding area, I highly recommend you stop in.

The burgers and service were great with a decent selection of beer and ciders. We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area.

I love The Hollow Restaurant in Franklin. We always eat here whenever we in Pendleton County. A really nice locally owned sit down restaurant. A diverse menu as well. You can get burgers and subs as well as meals like country fried steak with 2 sides of choice like green beans or mashed potatoes. Really good spaghetti by the way. I highly recommend it.

So far, we’ve only tried the burgers, we just can’t get past the burgers. They’re so good. We love this place.

My wife and I stayed in Franklin WV for a couple days. We had dinner here one day and it was great! Be sure to check it out if you are in the area.

Food was excellent. You definitely get your money's worth. We love it and eat there when we're in the area.

We live in Franklin and have been to all restaurants in the area including Petersburg, Moorefield, and Harrisonburg, VA. There are also times that my work takes me to various projects we are involved in throughout the continental U.S. Why am I telling you this? Because The Hollow has the best burgers that I have had on the entire East Coast! I like the Cowboy burger, but my wife prefers the Land & Sea burger. Both are EXCELLENT!. If you are travelling on Rt 33/220 and go through Franklin, stop in and try one! In a hurry? Call ahead for takeout!

Good food, good service, and a good value. I was in the area to do some hiking, and ended up staying at the motel next door. The motel is run down, but this restaurant is nice, clean, and modern. All in all a good experience, and I would recommend stopping in.

Menu was impressive..never had a piece of salmon as big as i did there.. small town atmosphere = perfect !

We had Chili Dogs and Steak & Cheese today on our visit to The Hollow. Definitely recommend stopping in for a meal here. Service was prompt and attentive as well.

First time there for a late lunch with my daughter and then made reservations for a late supper when checking out for a date night. Great food, calming atmosphere, and hostess staff was very nice.
