the atmosphere is mellow and homey, the wait staff attentive but not obtrusive, and the food is out of this world! study the drink menu before arrival, as it's quite extensive. i look forward to returning to this batavia favorite soon. five stars across the board!

Was in town for work and stopped by on February 25th to get dinner. I decided to get the River Street Burger... the best burger I have had in years! Definitely thrilled with my coworkers choice to eat here!

Our waitress was very kind and helpful. She suggested the fish and chips. It was probably the best l've ever had. My wife loved her huge salad. She had plenty of leftovers. Definitely heading back there.

It's definitely an Illinois rare gem off the beaten path. The atmosphere was very Smithsonian with all of the wall, ceiling, and shelf adornments. You can feel a sense of the history of the place and the small town feel of Batavia. The owner, who at the time of my visit somehow managed to be a bartender (inside and indoors), was a server, and a great hostess. The spin on tatter-tots was a first for me and highly recommended. Definitely, a return visit is a must. This place is one of the best.

Had the stat champ burger and cheese curd appetizer, both were excellent. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were excellent and the cheese curds were really good. Great beer menu and the atmosphere in the restaurant was gr at.

Our first time eating here. We stopped in for a late lunch. The food was amazing and a large selection of craft beers. The service was incredibly wonderful!!! We will definitely dine here again!!! Highly recommended 👍

Amazing outdoor private event space!

I wanted an outside space to throw a surprise party for my husband that could accommodate 40-60 people comfortably and give people room to move around and have different spaces to gather. This. was. perfect.

We had our own private bar and two different levels of space to use that included a stage, low-top tables, and high-top bar stools. It was truly the perfect space and we got TONS of compliments on the venue itself.

The owners, Melissa and Ryan, were incredibly easy to work with and helped us figure out the details of food/drink details super efficiently. They were open to having an outside DJ, my bringing in a kids table with a bunch of crafts (sorry about the slime remnants), and were kind in answering pestering emails coordinating details.

I would 100% have another event in the beer garden space and hope that I can find an excuse to do so one day!

Dinner was fabulous. Check out their website for full descriptions on unique and tasty choices. Our table had a State Champion (havarti cheese burger) prime rib stroganoff, yoozoo chicken, and a couple of craft built old fashions, paper planes, and other happy drinks. Fireside live music Two talented guys played fiddle and guitar, played original music, covered John Prine, and others. Our server was a mind reader and would appear the instant my empty glass mocked me. Here's the shocker: Very reasonably priced.

This bar is so cute and Dana is absolutely amazing! We watched her serve a full bar with a smile and in a friendly & timely manner. Such a good time, thank you Dana!! Girls night has a new spot!!

Awesome food! We really enjoyed the bacon flight appetizer. It had 3 or 4 different kinds of pork, delicious toast, bacon jam, and pickled onions. There was one that was very nicely seasoned, salty, and delicious! We also enjoyed the fried pickle chips, and brussel sprouts which were not breaded making them gluten free, but fried. For our mains I enjoyed the honey butter fried chicken sandwich which had a unique and yummy profile including bourbon peaches and green tomatoes. It was a sloppy mess of deliciousness! The jumbo wings came with 4 large wings and prepared with your choice of different BBQ rubs essentially. The tots sounded intriguing, but they were not so successful. I'd get fries next time for the side instead of the cube tots.

We went for an early supper. Highly recommend the burgers!! Hand ground and formed, juicy and explosive flavor!! We spent about $40 per person with drinks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Food was delicious! A concise menu but everything is done well, no extra fluff. Extensive drink menu. Great service and a cozy atmosphere. Lots of live events, music, etc.

A hidden gem - almost don’t want to leave a review for fear of contributing to the special rareness of this place being lost to the masses. Amazing food paired with a warm and unassuming friendly local atmosphere and live music refills the soul.

My girlfriend and I stopped in on Friday evening and had a great experience. I had the River street burger and it was one of the best burgers I have had in recent memory. The ginger yoozoo chicken was also tasty and a good option. I would definitely go back.

We tried River's Edge's Supper Club specials during the quarantine. The menu was posted at the beginning of the week and we decided to order out during the weekend. The week we ordered, the supper club menu was Moroccan food and was it ever delicious!

The entrees we tried were the Beef Bobotie and Chicken Jollof Rice. For sides, we got the spicy relish, polenta, and fried sprouts. The meal even included salad and for the end of the meal, bread pudding!

The meal was so flavorful and amazing! Each dish was well cooked and the flavors complimented each other very well. Words cannot easily describe just how tasty each bite was. We highly recommend you try it too!

Friendly little bar located across the river in Downtown Batavia 🍺🍸

This bar is tucked away along the River Street walkway. Once you see the archway, continue forward and you’ll see the bar on the right hand side of the street.

I’ve been here only a couple of times and I’ve had a pleasant experience each time I’ve gone. There’s a small free parking garage next-door which makes it easy to park and walk to the bar.
