Great experience at Smilin Dental. I had a chipped tooth it from knocking it into metal water bottle and was stressing about it. I called in Jackie at the front desk was nice and helpful in getting my papers together quick as a new patient. Then Karen got me seated in the office and was so sweet. Dr. Steve showed up soon after and from the first words he spoke I knew I was in good hands.

I think just about anyone with fears of dental procedures or operations would be put at ease as soon as they met the staff here. Professional and wonderful. Appreciate it so much! Thanks for fixing my chipped tooth!

Dr. Bacalar has just given me the best present ever - a confident smile. I have been working with him on finishing my dental implant procedure by making porcelain tooth that fits perfectly and looks naturally. The entire process from initial consultation, to check up, and final installation was an absolute pleasure. I haven't felt rushed and all of my questions were answered with a great overview of risks and benefits. Dr. Bacalar made lots of pictures and measurements of my jaw and consulted with my dental surgeon to make sure I leave Smilin office with the best smile ever. The staff is incredibly welcoming and the office is clean and functional. I have now turned to Smilin Dental for dental cleaning and will come to Dr. Bacalar with any dental issues in full confidence of getting great service. Thank you!

Great office located in Wilmette, close to transportation. The facilities have an ambient of care and attention to detail. Clean, newer equipment and a monitor mounted on the ceiling displaying magnificent pictures that makes you forget you are at a dentist’s office. The entire staff is, welcoming, courteous, highly skilled, informative and friendly. They make you feel right at home, immediately after you walk in the door. Everything is on time, and it is an extremely professionally run office.

Two years ago, my wife and I wanted to find a new dental practice closer to home. We chose SMILIN DENTAL practice and are extremely satisfied with their services. During our first visit we were pleasantly surprised to see Dr. Bacalar took ample time to get to know us and our dental needs. The dental hygienists are knowledgeable, experienced and personable. They explained very well everything they are doing.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist- long history of anxiety but Dr. Steve is fantastic! He doesn't make you feel bad about what you haven't done, no shame here...just tries to help you with questions and improve your habits. They don't suggest unnecessary dental work, they truly have their patient's best interests at heart.

I am a new patient to this office, and everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. There are many protocols in place to keep everyone safe from Covid, so you can feel assured about being there. The hygienist is professional, thorough and puts you at ease. The assistants are concerned about your comfort and help you in any way they can. Dr. Bacalar explains everything, listens carefully to you and answers any questions you may have. His skills are excellent, his touch is light and he checks and double checks so you can feel confidence in whatever work you have had.
