El Molcajete on 3rd

1st time here. Was not sure how to get to it being on upper level but then realized this was like a mini mall. Easy to drive past so note to look up. The 3 people who waited, served and cleared were super friendly and the food was awesome. Very authentic. We tried the 3 salsa and I was surprised how much I enjoyed the avocado one. I had the enchiladas (was able to get a mix of chicken in 2 and cheese in 1) and swapped traditional been/rice for the poblano rice (very yummy). Husband got dish that was combo of shrimp and meat (forgot name) and we both loved our meals. Also recommend the cucumber margarita!

Came to see this fun unique town and have dinner before going to see the Cougars baseball game. We love real Mexican food and this place was authentic and very enjoyable. Loved the outdoor seating and the tacos were amazing. Definitely recommend!

I was in town to visit friends and we stopped here for a quick dinner after a long day. We started with sharing some guac and chips and all chose our own entree. I had the 5 taco sampler and added rice and beans. It was a nice variety of tacos and they were all good. All 4 people in our group were happy with the service and the taste. Will probably go here again when I'm back in town.

HUGE IMPROVEMENT
About a year ago the food was just OK .. nothing special .. we struggle to find decent Mexican food anywhere in Dupage or Kane county so wasn’t expecting much here.
The new menu and new cook NAILED IT !! The new tacos both steak and chicken are perfection and full of flavor. Great job, way to evolve!! Keep it up.

The food was SO GOOD, I had tacos and an alcohol free margherita, all of the food was VERY FRESH and the drinks were so refreshing I wanted to cry
They also have a second story outdoor seating area which is nice

First time eating here and the food and atmosphere was excellent. My wife had the fajitas and I had a Beef Burrito and both of us really enjoyed our meals. We ate on the patio overlooking 3rd Street and it was very nice.

Excellent chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, and all year long, 1/2 priced regular margaritas to celebrate their 10th Anniversary!

Great place and staff was so nice and of course food was good too, they were able to make custom vegetarian tacos for us. Highly recommended!

Parents are regulars and took us when visiting. Everyone had something different and it was all great. Unprompted, my son
specifically said he wanted to give them a 5 star review before we left, and so here I am.

This was a great experience. Our whole group enjoyed it. Very tasty food and great service and refreshing drinks. The guac was very tasty and fresh! Glad we decided to order some. I will definitely return back!

Great food, location and service! Perfect night for rooftop patio dining... Super yummy guac and chips, and the green tomatillo sauce - so flavorful and good!!

I ate here for the first time today. Ordered their house specialty tampiquena. It was delicious, the meat was cooked the way I wanted. Everything on the plate was good, the rice and beans were especially tasty. They followed covid protocol and the staff was friendly and respectful.

Nice spot in Geneva. Best chips ever and guacamole is great. Margaritas are good as well. Recommended

Their tortilla chips are amazing! Favorite restaurant to go to, especially in summer time.

Reasonably priced and super authentic food. The outdoor seating area is very nice as well!

Great atmosphere out on the large deck. Perfect evening of people watching, top notch margaritas, delicious food, attentive and gracious service. I'd go back for sure. It was my friend's birthday and they surprised her with a huge piece of delicious tres leches cake. What a lovely gesture!

El Molcajete was amazing! The staff and managers were super friendly and kind people. The food is cooked fresh and amazing. In Geneva for a shopping day & my friend & I chose this place for lunch. Service was good & food was served quickly. Hard for me to find good Verde sauce, & I loved theirs.

Love the outdoor areas! It's so beautiful! The Shrimp tacos and chicken tacos were good. Husband said steak fajitas should have been real steak without so much gristle in it.

VERY good food. Tasty Margaritas. Great place for special ocasions.
