Keystone Rapids Trail is a great spot to canoe 🛶 to. We started upriver at Shumsky’s canoe launch and then floated down while fly fishing the Boardman River. Trip time was about 2.5 hours with minimal paddling. We caught some brown trout and a rainbow trout. The River is deep in some places and shallow in others, and pretty fast moving at this time, but there has been some decent rainfall 🌧 recently. There are some homes and rental houses that butt up to the Boardman River along this stretch and we saw 6 other people paddling kayaks and canoes along the way. If you’re looking for a fun, intermediated level canoe or kayak trip, this is a great one.

Kayaked the rapids versus hiking the trail (this time). Best "white water" in the TC area. Water was lower then normal due to extended dry period.

Very enjoyable mini adventure.

One of my favorite hiking trails that isn't far from downtown, but also feels secluded. There's a whole system of trails to explore, and all are well marked. You'll find a few access points to the river as well - just be aware the current can be fast in this area!

Did not take the trail but stopped to do some trout fishing. Beautiful spot but unfortunately the river was still moving too fast.

Nice maps and markers along the trail to make sure you know where you are going. Plenty of signs letting you know where poison ivy was. Parking was easy we got there early so might have been tricky later, it's a small lot. Easy to go from trail to trail and hike a bunch.

This is such a nice, well maintained hiking area. Love traipsing about in the woods so close to home.

One of my favorite trails in town! A little mucky today from the weather but I had to get my puppy out of the house and the trails were great and the sun was nice!

The doggo and I had so much fun. Nice easy walking. Cool trails and boardwalks. I didn't know we had something so cool in town. This is a must for any and all nature friendly people. I forgot I was in TC walking over here.

I stop there with my dogs whenever I go by. Good place for them to drink and walk in water. There's a launch area for kayaks/canoes, picnic table, outhouse, very small but not too many people ever there.

Absolutely beautiful. Very narrow path with incredible views of river and forest. Wear good shoes and be aware of roots in path. Unfortunately not whcr accessable.

Heat trail. It actually begins behind the YMCA building on South Airport across from Panda North and behind the Verizon store, continues to Sabin damn and then all the way up to Lone Pine Trailhead. It is a hike-in, hike-out. So no loop. But it's along the Boardman River the entire way and in nature perserves so it's quiet. Easy-moderate hiking with only small hills and valleys, it's about 6 miles in all together. I can run it start to finish in a little less than 2 hours and I consider myself a completely average runner.

Love hiking this trail! Huge and absolutely beautiful! Last time I was there, part of it was closed for construction of the dam though.
