By far my favorite grocery store ever. The blue goose has this nostalgic feel about...it has been passed down several generations. The selection blows my mind. Amazing preprepared dinners that have saved me on countless occasions, amazing cheese and selection, super friendly staff, incredible bakery. My loyalty runs deep with the Goose. Also, incredible prices too...you would think that this little boutique grocer would have a higher price point...NOT AT ALL!! Super competitive prices. Also what this little store did during the COVID-19 pandemic should be used as an example of exactly how to serve your community in a time of need. I was amazed by the dedication this company had to serving their people. They are doing it right.

Surpassed my expectations for a gender reveal cake for my best friend. We did a tropical theme with hot pink and blue accents and they truly delivered! The cake was super delicious and they did an awesome swirl pattern with blue batter. Everyone raved about how tasty it was with the strawberry and custard filling. Highly recommend!

Clean and easy to navigate floorplan. Good selection and the staff that I came into contact with were nice. Got a customized birthday sheet cake, and it was tasty and not overly expensive. Good amount of parking available, area the store is located in is safe.

Shout out to the amazing customer service I received! I had called in a panic to see if there were cupcakes to available for grab and go. I had originally ordered 50 cupcakes from a local bakery who was not responding to me and my party was literally 4 hours away. Megan (I think that was her name) kindly set aside 50 cupcakes just in case I needed to pick them up last minute. Well, the bakery pulled through so I didn't need the last minute cupcakes. Called Megan to tell her and she was so sweet. I thanked her repeatedly for going above and beyond! We need more businesses like Blue Goose who truly care about their customers. Support local always!

I love this place. The muffins are fantastic, their cheese selection allows the chance to try something new everytime, and their burgers and pre-made dishes are great for a quick meal. They also have really nice produce as well. It is a weekly stop for me now.

Absolutely outstanding. It's like Trader Joe with a much larger selection. Many of my clients utilized and praised it, with good reason. Ample parking, excellent customer service, a huge selection of goods, gracious, helpful staff and fair prices. It is much farther away from my home than places where I typically shop, and worth the trip!!!!!

There was recent news that The Blue Goose was going to be closing in the first quarter of 2022. No exact date has been announced yet but hours are limited and sales are already starting.

Blue goose is an amazing local community grocery store where you would see the same friendly staff anytime you went. The owner Paul was engaged with the store and would provide updates on new products on the blue goose instagram account. I have been a patron for around 9 years and have so many memories of coming to blue goose with my kids when they were very young. I loved the convenience of stopping buy to pick up groceries or beer on my way home from work or when I needed some quick items to serve for dinner. I will especially miss the bakery. The donuts were the best in town!

As our community wishes the Blue Goose farewell in the very near future, we hope the future of the building can live up to legacy of The Blue Goose. It will be missed.

Great local grocery store. Prices are competitive, and often carries a broader selection than some of the bigger chains in the area. The bakery makes delicious custom cakes with a quick turnaround. The store offers community gathering and grilling during the warmer months. Parking is easy, but it's also incredibly easy to walk to from downtown St Charles. Definitely a gem that's worth visiting.

My wife and I were out on a drive. We stopped at Blue Goose Market. I've never been there before. I was impressed. The place was very well stocked with standard and non standard food. It was immaculate. If it was closer to my house, I would shop there.

Great store . Good fish fry on Fridays by the pound.
Great baked goods and pastries . Great quality meats and chicken . Several different home made unusual products from around the country that can't be purchased anywhere else . "Most" of the people who work there are very nice .

Family owned and operated. The cakes are decorated in store and are BEAUTIFUL. You can purchase a hot cup of coffee at the bakery (well, at 5:00 yesterday when I went in the decaf was cold and they didn't offer to make any fresh. It is great coffee though). Produce is very fresh. Deli and meat department products look fresher and superior to area chain stores. The price on some meat was comparable to Jewel. If you're a tea lover, they offer some brands that aren't available at the box stores. Chocolate lover? They have some high cacao chocolate bars.

The customer service I received long distance from Oregon over the phone was outstanding. The employees are very caring individuals. They not only created a delicious birthday cake for my mom's birthday, but they delivered it along with a Happy Birthday hat!

A very nice grocery market. Has a vast selection and craft design inside. This makes the place have an appealing nature to it. I enjoyed my visit in the friendly staffed market and the selection of market goods was not lacking in any department. It has a lot of staff running the sections of the store so you always have help where you need it. A very bustling place but never overcrowded. Affordable and a fun place to shop!

Wonderful small local grocery. Great butcher department. Few choices in specialty cheeses, but they all delicious. Great selections of meals and side dishes available at the deli. Service at the Goose is always friendly.

Initial experience was that the store has each department well kept and cleanly displayed. Prices are a little unattractive but all of the fresh meat is butchered on site and the produce is good quality. Store smells clean and welcoming.

Great local grocery store. Blue Goose has the best meat department around. I don't like getting meat at other grocery stores it just never seems as good.

I also like the produce. They often have local when it's in season.

The bakery is great. They made my daughter's wedding cake and it was really good. Better than any I have had and it cost less than others we looked at. So glad we got it here.

Great local grocery store, always buy meat from the butcher counter, high quality. Deli has fantastic to go options for a picnic or warm up for dinner. The bakery has so many delicious treats and I when I do go, there is usually a treat or two in the cart. They also carry some british foods like Irish bacon, bangers and crumpets! I typically do not buy everyday grocery items because the prices tend to be a little on the high side but for the convenience it is sometimes worth it.

This is a great family owned store with 91 years of service to the community. The fourth generation is now at the Helm. Today's market place is overcrowded with big box super stores finding a local full service store is not only a treat but also a pleasure to deal with. They were in the process of opening a new wine bar for the shopper's convenience. I don't live in the community but I certainly hope the people who do appreciate it and support it.

The best cakes and the best bakery. Friendly and clean service. A legendary and wonderful venue. Wonderful food and specialty items. Great ownership and great management. Wonderful workers. Perfect environment. A real jewel in the Fox valley and in St Charles.

OMGoodness! Great place!! My Mother and I stumbled upon this place while on a drive elsewhere. Stopped, ordered 2 Reuben sandwiches from the deli and some cold slaw and sat at a table outside in the front of the market and enjoyed our food. The food was wonderful - I'm not kidding. I'm a pretty 'clean' eater - try to eat as organic as possible - and usually, when I eat a Reuben somewhere, my digestive system pays for it later - probably nitrates. But not this time, the meat 'tested clean'. Super delicious, too and so was the slaw. Anyway, before I left, I purchased some of their homemade Italian beef for my husband, too and he said it was the best he'd had!
I live quite a bit away but I plan on making special trips there to shop from their Deli. It's WELL worth the trip to me!!
