Giovannis Italian Deli

Took my buddy to have a chicken vodka parm for the first time at Giovannis Italian Deli in Secaucus. I have been here a few times but he hadn't. Not only did he have the sandwich he took 2 to go. What makes this business so successful is the consistency in quality & taste. Most importantly THE SERVICE. The crew goes out of their way to make sure you leave happy. You must come to this spot if you are in the area and if your not it's worth the trip. Love this spot!!!

I live on Staten Island and will make the trip here for lunch whenever I take a trip into NJ, the food is just that good here. The sandwiches are loaded up, they make their own mozzarella so I highly suggest getting a chicken parm sandwich. Wait times can be long but it's well worth it.

Giovanni's is what a North Jersey Italian deli should be!! From their fresh mozzarella made on site daily to their chicken cutlet sandwiches that make you think of dinners at grandmas house, youll know you're at the right place the first time you come in and enjoy their food. Everything they make is amazing. The staff are a great!! Its a friendly atmosphere. Their sandiches are nicely made and they are not cheap when it comes to building every sandwich.

I’m from Chicago and sometimes come out here on business and I look forward grabbing a meal from here. Hands down one of the best Italian subs I ever had. Also the pasta salad + rice ball is fantastic. One suggestion I have is to keep some hot giardiniera on hand for a spicy option. I checked my luggage so I could bring a jar with me and it was epic. Would rate this place 6 stars if I could when you add the giardiniera.

If you're looking for a Jersey style deli, THIS is the one. Fantastic food, fantastic service, and great experience. The outside seating areas were super nice to have, everything was fresh, etc. They also offer free delivery. What's not to love?!

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had

I'm in Jersey so I have to stop at a proper Italian deli... Right!? I had a ham, salami, and mozzarella sandwich... And it was ridiculous. I'm not sure if they make their own mozzarella in-house or if they get it fresh everyday but it was too good. If you're in the Secaucus area you really should swing by this place for a sandwich.

Outstanding sandwich! I was away from home, looking for a quick lunch. I ordered the Classic Italian expecting the usually Italian sub. When I I opened it up, I was blown away the the massive brick of fresh mozzarella cheese hiding in the middle. This is truly a next-level sandwich!

Excellent sandwiches with friendly and helpful service. The food is top quality with excellent ingredients. Their homemade mozzarella is not to be missed, and the portions are extremely generous for the price. Everything was delicious and as first timers the staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and getting us taken care of. A great place to stop for lunch.

Great place! The food was fantastic. I had the chicken vodka parmigiana - soft, fresh Italian bread, chicken was flavorful and tender, and the sauce was delicious. The fresh Parm was insane!
The service was excellent. These guys were fast and ran a great shop.
Price was right.
Seating - there are a few tables inside and a couple outside. Time your visit!
I'll definitely be heading back next time I'm up there.

This Italian deli is a gem! They have classic cold cuts (my family loved theirs) but what really impressed me were the vegetarian options. I tried both the eggplant parm and a veggie sandwich, and both were delicious and made just how I asked (extra vinegar, light oil). The fresh bread and top-notch ingredients made all the difference. Huge shoutout to Gianna who works the counter - she was so friendly and helpful, especially in navigating the veggie options. If you're looking for a fantastic Italian sandwich, Gios is the place to go

Nice little mom and pop shop ! Very busy so make sure you give a call! Customer service is very warming feels like at home lol now the Buffalo chicken sandwich is very different nothing I had the bread was good ! The mozzarella cheese was very different but taste amazing the duo is something else ! I give the sandwich a four star GREAT TASTING just wasn’t hot enough lol I’ll definitely be back !

I just picked up sandwiches for my nieces. They are from San Diego and wanted them to try an authentic Italian sandwich. We got the Italian, meatball parm, and chicken Parmesan. As one of them was finishing her first bite of the Italian, she said, this sandwich is so good I am a little overwhelmed!!! Love Giovanni’s, my husband and I go all the time. Don’t miss it!

Subs/Hoagies are massive. Portions of meat are really good and the homemade mozzarella was also good. I got the #7 and added ham and turkey and lettuce. It was a LOT more than I expected so I was happy. I got the crispy bread, I think next time I would opt for the soft bread.

The cannoli’s were okay, I don’t think I’ll get them again but worth a try.

The staff was also friendly and welcoming :)
