For the Love of Food + Drink at Saltwater Farm

Absolutely loved it! The staff was super friendly and food was very delicious! No waitress service, You order the food with the cashier and they bring it to you on your table, the place is very spacious, clean and cozy with the beach vibe! Everyone loved the food and drinks! The prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend this place! The live music was absolute bonus!

Absolutely the Best Brunch in York County!
On my first visit I originally did a pick up order but upon arrival realized they had Live Music during Sunday Brunch! All of the artists I’ve heard there have been Spectacular might I add. I’m almost reluctant to tell people because I don’t want my “Sunday Spot” becoming overcrowded come tourist season but this place is just too Amazing to keep to myself and the gracious owners deserve recognition. All of their Delicious menu items can be prepared Gluten Free which is crucial for my husband who has Celiac as many places who claim to have a “Gluten Free Menu” can not actually accommodate Celiac due to potential cross contamination but this place actually has its own Gluten Free prep station and Grill. When it comes to the food, I can’t speak highly enough about their Fresh ingredients. The Veggie Omelet is Loaded with farm fresh veggies and the eggs are wonderfully fluffy. The French Toast is prepared with my Favorite bread that they actually sell in loaves; the Cinnamon Swirl Bread. I’ve been going in to purchase this bread alone for almost a year now as I Love the crunchy sweet crystals that form on the bottom and edges after being toasted.

This place was amazing! The food was really good and the atmosphere was so nice. I went here with my friend for breakfast and we both had omelettes, they were huge and so delicious too. They came with home fries and toast. Mine was the vegetable one and it had red peppers, caramelized onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and summer squash with 3 or 4 different types of cheese. The prices were very reasonable too. The owner is very very nice. He came out of the kitchen to talk to my friend who was ordering take home meals. He made her 3 or 4 different meals for her and her husband to enjoy for dinner. I’ll definitely go back there again and highly recommend this restaurant. That’s why I gave it 5 stars.

Wendy and her team truly went above and beyond as our catering vendor on our wedding day! Wendy has impeccable attention to detail, and made sure everything from my rehearsal to my signature drinks were perfect. I also love that they use local, seasonal ingredients in all their dishes, and they are familiar with a lot of other Maine vendors and venues. My guests were happy too! I truly could not have hired a better team, and this vendor is part of the reason I was able to relax and truly enjoy my wedding day :)

From the beginning of my wedding catering planning, Wendy and Bill made everything extremely easy and it made for a smooth planning process. We visited the restaurant prior and had a delicious brunch with family and Wendy went through everything with us. Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day and 2 months later guests are still raving about the food! If you are looking for event catering, this is your spot! Friendly attentive servers. Decent portions and tasty breakfast sandwiches. Ate there twice during our weekend. You order at the counter and can choose where to sit down. They even have a grab and go section.

It’s a great option if you don’t feel like waiting forever to eat breakfast at other places down the road. It was busy at times but never so bad where we couldn’t find parking/seating.

Visited this place for a themed dinner event put on by Mystery 207. Food was prepared and served by For the love of food and Drink. We had Barbecue and it did not disappoint. The best baked beans I've ever had. They served us a 3 course meal, ending with the most beautiful dessert!! The service was great, the place is super cute and cozy inside and absolutely inviting from the outside!

For the Love of Food + Drink catered a celebration of life for my parents. Wendy was wonderful to communicte with and every detail was perfect We had an assortment of sandwiches and salads which were so good! Wendy and Will even provided desserts specific to our family as "favorites". They were professional yet intimate to our specific desires and reasonably priced.
I will not hesitate to recommend them and will certainly contact them for any future events.

My fiancé and I were travelling back from Boston and decided on a small cafe foodie experience, and Saltwater Farm Market and Cafe went above and beyond! Their amazing staff answered all of our questions, made delicious recommendations and made a connection to our little Nova Scotia through their father’s favourite show, The Curse of Oak Island. They showed honest interest in our little personal story and shared a few of their own. The ambiance in the place was sweet, little homestead with a smell of baked goods and a beautiful little fireplace. Definitely felt like we were eating at at a grandmother’s house where we were sitting. After our delightful meal, all of the staff came out to ask about our meal and gave us well wishes on our journey back to Nova Scotia. My fiancé bought a travel pack of brownies that we enjoyed on our drive back from the United States, they were unbelievable! If you are looking for a wonderful back road, small town, home style foodie experience, this place checks off every single box! You will not be disappointed!!

I have used this caterer for several events and not only is the food delicious but it’s plentiful! They create a custom menu for you and the customer service is above and beyond. I look forward to my next event I get catered by them!

For the Love of Food and Drink did a fabulous job catering our wedding reception on Peaks Island. We chose them based on a recommendation from our venue and because their prices were much more reasonable than many other options. It was an excellent experience.
-They worked hard all day, and did a wide range of tasks from setting up all our tables, making and serving the food or course, and doing all our clean up, including taking care of trash. Everything they did was efficient and professional.
-They were serious problem solvers day-of. They were on the island before we and our guests arrived, and helped us with lots of tasks outside of just catering, anything we needed done last minute. They also coped incredibly professionally with some issues at our venue, including a broken oven. They still managed to make everything happen with just a small delay, and did an excellent job communicating with our coordinator to adjust the schedule in the moment.
-The food was excellent! Our appetizers were especially good. They even made a custom appetizer with special sausage that we shipped them.
-Communication was good from beginning to end, we worked most closely with Wendy, and she was lovely and easy to work with.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Excellent food and wonderful service. Everyone is always super friendly. I found them 2 years ago, and make it a stop everytime I’m in Maine. You won’t regret the stop!

This place is so great that I'd always come back again with my husband if we'd live here. The food is absolutely delectable and the service is superb. Our server Maddie was out of this world, attentive, super friendly and sweet and so was the rest of the crew.
And,by the way... they serve REAL bread and a huge variety of tea!

We went on opening night and had a fantastic time. Food was great - we had nachos and a burger- and the beer was cold. Lovely outdoor space and a fun band. Can’t wait to go again. Very family friendly :)

Great place to get breakfast or lunch! Went there yesterday for a quick bite to eat before shopping. A little slow, but very accommodating and they were pretty busy! Once the food came out, it was all worth it. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and Florentine eggs Benedict was also great. Will be back!

For the Love of Food + Drink is one of my favorite local restaurants, and their BLT for lunch is a standout dish! The bacon is thick and crispy, the lettuce and tomato are fresh and flavorful, and the toasted bread is the perfect texture. The homemade mayo adds a great touch of creaminess to the sandwich. The portion size is generous, making it a great value for the price. The restaurant itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff and attentive service. I also highly recommend the chili when they have it. Overall, For the Love of Food + Drink is a must-visit for anyone in the area!

I love this place! The owner and staff are the friendliest people, and the food is fantastic! It has that classic New England charm, with the chops to back it up. If you want to stop in briefly and grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich to go that's no problem. Worth taking a few extra minutes out of your day to try something new.
