Annie's Book Stop Wells

Stopped in here for the first time today, finally, and I’m in love! The owner is so welcoming and kind, and they have a great selection of both new and used books. Stop by when you’re in town!

Great selection of books. Well lit. Very knowledgeable staff. Called ahead near the end of business hours on a very rainy day to check if they had a particular author, which they did. I roared in, they took me right to the shelf. I plan to linger next time. (Apologies to owners for accidentally putting review of the Goldenrod here initially!)

Great vacation book destination! My wife came here her entire life. When visited recently, the considerate staff let us choose a book for our newborn free-of-charge. What other book store does that?! We will be coming here for years to come so our child can have the same experience.

Very few bookstores so appreciate this mix of used and new. Small shop with limited hours. Easy par.

They had an awesome selection of books! New and Used. Figured I’d give it a try before I went to Barnes&Noble. Found exactly what I was looking for and more. Very helpful ladies and I saved a lot of money on the books I was looking for!

Once a year I get to come here. I list the books, series of books, my favorite authors during the year and do some major shopping here annually since I moved to Virginia! Annie's maintains a huge inventory of books in excellent condition at affordable prices. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and provide a welcoming cozy atmosphere in which to browse. Very organized as well to aid shoppers in finding what they seek and keeping similar type titles in close proximity so you may leave with treasures you didn't know you were looking for!

I love Annie's bookstops and was so thrilled to discover one in Wells, Maine! My husband and I spent a delightful hour browsing through a nice selection of mysteries (him) and historicals (me). If you're looking for quality used books, Annie's is the place to go. They are priced at half of the cover, so browse and enjoy!

Annie's is worth a drive out of the way for. An incredibly well-curated book selection. The children's section is small, but *wow*. Great selections. The books for older kids are more expensivet and suggest a real eye for good material in whomever is buying for Annie's. The adult section is large and has plenty of good material, either for general reading, or for your vacation. The staff was delightful. A must visit shop while in Wells.

We visited Annie's Book Stop while we were in Wells for a weekend away, and we always love to go book hunting. The Shop is humble in size, but has a good selection. While the prices are a little high, it's not easy being an independent book retailer in 2017, and I think Annie's deserves 5 stars for being well organized, having super friendly staff, and having a bigger used book selection than my local independent bookstore which is about 10x the size of Annie's.

Definitely worth a stop in if you're a book lover and in the area.

Have been there twice with my husband for breakfast. Food cooked just right and the presentation makes it even better. Friendly and courteous staff. Coffee refilled by whatever wait staff goes by.

How does one say what a perfect place this store is for people who enjoy reading, visiting
and feeling like they have come home! Guess I just did. The selection is wonderful and there
is always someone to help you find what you want and suggest something new.

Good selection of books for cheap. Perfect place to go if you're looking for a book to read on the beach, or if you're a teacher looking to stock the classroom library. Helpful and attentive staff, too.
