EAST Restaurant & Lounge

I had a pleasant time dining here! It was such a great restaurant and love the atmosphere of the restaurant and outside! Came from out of state and definitely was memorable! HIGHLY recommend!

Food was absolutely great, good friendly staff and service was great, I was not expecting anything special, seemed like normal restaurant but when we tasted the food it was really great! Great flavor and very fresh ingredients!

Stephen and I went here for dinner and thought the food was reminiscent of days gone by or from our childhood experiences. We ordered Egg Rolls, a large bowl of Hot and Sour soup, and MooShu Chicken to share and it was plenty of food for two including a doggie bag to take back to our hotel. Certainly it would have been better if we had gone earlier instead of at closing, but overall we liked it.

Gluten free options. omg. first place in the area that i can find actually good gluten free. and the restaurant looks more like a palace.

Loved our hot tea! Beautiful restaurant, with kind, outstanding service. Food came out quickly & was so tasty! Open during off season, & we were so grateful!

We took basically an impromptu trip to Ogunquit,ME while on a contract in Mass. We stopped here to eat and OMG!!! We were not expecting the sultry delishness that we were blessed with. The general Tso chicken was freaking amazing, every bite was tender and evenly covered with sauce. The chicken fried rice which I ended up taking to go was well seasoned and the scorpion bowl drink was the cherry on top!! Our waitress Marlaina was busy but was SUPER nice and friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. We will be back!! The restaurant was super clean and they practiced good Covid regulations as well

Love this place every time we go visit Maine! Never disappoints!

Last year we stumbled upon East Restaurant while looking for a good Chinese food meal. We absolutely loved it. This year, we hunted this place back down. East Restaurant is unique compared to many restaurants. The selection is so abundant that there are two menus to choose from! They have Japanese, Thai, Chinese.. oh my. One of my favorite appetizers is spring rolls. Check. They were perfect. The peanut sauce wasn't made quite the way I would prefer, but it still tasted good. We also ordered edamame. It was cooked a little more than usual, but still tasted awesome.
For entrees, my daughter ordered Sweet and Sour chicken. The chicken pieces were very large, which wasn't very appealing to my daughter. She chose to remove most of the breading to eat the chicken.
I split the Chicken and Broccoli with my mother. The entree included a very generous serving. My husband ordered chicken of some sort and ribs. He must have enjoyed it, because there was nothing left on his plate at the end of the meal.
The meals were awesome. None of us had any leftovers, because we ate everything on our plates!!

I had avoided this place due to very mixed reviews but maple leaves closed and the places I tired after were just not good. Desperate for decent lo mein and crab Rangoon, I braved East. So glad I did because both items were great! The chicken in the lo mein was a little dry but the noodles were great. So happy I gave it a try. We will be back when we are craving lo mein again soon!

The food and service is excellent here. We have been here many times. They are no longer serving the buffet because of lack of help.We had a Pu Pu platter, House fried rice, and Chicken Lo Mein. My drink was a MaiTai. I would definitely recommend this place.

The chinese food and service were excellent. It was clean and Covid procedures were in place. Will visit again.

Not my first time visiting but first time inside dining since they reopened to inside dinners again thanks to Covid. The service was great, the staff friendly and the food fresh.

Excellent food! Delicious! Beautiful dining area, buffet option. I asked for pad thai and there's a separate menu for Thai cuisine, you just have to ask for it! There is a kids menu, a lounge area with casual seating and a bar with the game on.

The prettiest building in the area with nice interior too. It really was the best Chinese food I've eaten in the US. Not sure why, but not heavy or greasy. Large menu. Sushi, too, though we didn't have any.

A large "mainland" Chinese restaurant, laid out just like a lot of similar upmarket restaurants in China. We are both vegetarians, and had plenty of choices of things to eat here. Service was quick, very large portions, good tasty food. Would definitely eat here again on our next visit.

Group of 6, we were seated within 5 minutes. Relaxing dinner with old friends from Mass, food was extremely delicious, especially crab rangoon, wings, and egg rolls. Pleasantly surprised . Our first visit but definitely not the last.
