Borealis Breads

We are regulars here. We love the baked goods and often get sandwiches. The bread is amazing! Roast beef thrempherbe panini is my favorite! Wonderful and friendly staff.

They have amazing croissants, scones and muffins baked daily. Their breads are mostly a sourdough style and are great too.

OMG! We just went to Borealis for the first time on Christmas Eve and it was an 11/10. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast paninis (rosemary bread!), pastries and coffee were so delicious. It was truly the best (and jolliest) start to the day!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to grab a sandwich (Reuben Panini on Multi grain-so good) in March 2024.

This is our favorite bread bakery in the Southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire area. We typically buy their sub rolls, burger buns, and then one of their sliced loaves. They also have ready to eat food, but we go for the bread.

Great shop offering so much more than bread. We enjoyed an enormous cinnamon roll, scone,brownie,and magic bar. Everything was fresh and delicious. They
also offer breakfast sandwiches and lunch items.

Stopped in for a breakfast pannini and coffee. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The staff were professional and courteous, a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely stop here again.

Great paninis! The raspberry bars and lemon bars are so good! We bought a loaf of bread to try later on.

My daughter and I got 2 sandwiches to go: Tuna melt and Cranberry chicken salad. Both very good. We get our fresh bread there weekly. The Rosemary is a family favorite.

My mother loves this bakery as do I. It's full of yummy treats that are beyond compare.

I also want to take a moment to say thank you to the wonderful staff. My mom went in to pick up some treats to bring to a family gathering. In the extreme heat, my mother suddenly felt unwell. One of the staff noticed and quickly came over to offer her assistance. My mother was brought a couple of glasses of ice water and kept an eye on her for a little bit. The staff then drove my mother and her car home.

Wonderful place to pick up a sandwich or salad for lunch. You can see that they bake bread onsite. I will definitely be coming back when I am going to YCCC.

This is one business doing something right for decades in a row. I have never had a substandard quality product. Borealis' best products in order of personal favoritism: 1. Bread (there's a variety for everyone but Rosemary Salt is notorious); 2. Carrot Cake (best sold publicly for 3 towns around); 3. BLT (super sandwiches for a bakery); 4. Rum balls. Last and absolutely essential are the staff - they are kind, personable and hard working. It is very hot in there in the summers and the staff are still doing a great job. Super appreciate the cleanliness and cheery atmosphere.

Delicious sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. Fresh eggs, 3 kinds of chicken salad, paninis. Currently no seating indoors due to COVID but plenty of outdoor seating. Call ahead for prompt service

The grilled cheese panini with bacon is amazing, and all the smoothies are amazing. I come here whenever I have spare cash and want something good to eat.

We had breakfast croissants......the best I've had. The Cranberry muffins....omg so fresh. Highly recommend this place staff were very inviting and friendly!

They advertise themselves as " the Van Gogh of dough".... believe it! So far, I've had their blueberry muffin and a breakfast sandwich. Both were awesome!

What a great little spot that I've driven by for the last 2 years and happily found yesterday, ill be back! Local bakery with sandwiches, salads and pasties!! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the place smells amazing!

I've depended on the Farmers Market in Rollinsford for my summer infusion of Borealis bread, but this year they don't have a presence there; it's really a drive for me to go to Wells for a loaf of bread ( just as it's really a drive for them to come to Rollinsford), so, sadly, I shall be forced to shuffle on without my all-time favorite bread. Like the rye best of all, though the herb bread is really just as good (that being why I always bought two loaves at a time). Sigh. But, really? Go there. Get some! Really good bread!
