Morse Hardware Store in Wells deserves 5 stars. The staff was exceptionally good and helpful, ensuring a smooth process in purchasing my front entry door and screen door. Communication was great, making the entire transaction easy. When a minor issue arose with the screen door (manufacturer's issue), they addressed it quickly and efficiently. Highly satisfied with the service. Will use them for future projects.

Great local resource for hardware and especially lumber. Don't be fooled thinking this is a small store with higher prices than the "big box" stores - their prices are equal or usually better in most cases. High quality products along with a very helpful staff.

As a self-employed carpenter/painter. I have used Morse Hardware for decades, both the old one and the most recent one. The staff, both family and other employees are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and willing to listen to your needs. The prices are good and the stock is plentiful. A great place to do business.

Visiting from out of town and needed to do some RV repairs. Went into this store with my son and they fixed us up real nice. Have us the screws we needed and even recommended a bit driver that would prevent us from stripping them. $5 later and the repair is complete. A+. Thanks guys.

A truely old-fashioned hardware store plus lumber yard. Run by a family and crew of friendly Mainers. If they don't have it, they'll order it for you.

Slightly more expensive than the big box stores or the small franchise chains. The positive attitude, friendliness and deeper expertise are well worth paying a little extra for.
