I came here after having back and knee pain from my old beaters with next to no knowledge on what to look for in a shoe. Gabe was extremely helpful and informed. They analyzed my gait, got info on my activities and measured my feet to give me 5 recommendations and helped me understand the benefits of each shoe as they pertain to my needs
I spent the next few hours on my feet in them and will give credit that they were extremely accurate. I know the shoes will help tremendously.

I wandered into this store after doing a 10K the day before. The staff members were helpful and polite. One staff member even measured my feet and examined how I walked. I bought running shoes that will suit my gait.

Best possible place to go find the right shoe for you. I had bad experience buying shoes that weren't right for me from a larger chain store, and I went to RVR and they fitted me and fixed me up with the best shoes I've ever had. Professional, organized, and local. They also have a running club and groups that meet up weekly, so the place fosters community beyond just selling running equipment!

I started training this spring for the Mankato marathon and after all the miles needed to replace my shoes. I couldn't remember the size but remembered buying them from river valley running a year or two back. I sent a message via facebook asking if they had any record of my size, not expecting to have that information, but received a very fast response with my size. They had my size in stock and mailed my shoes!
Cheers to finishing the Mankato marathon next weekend in new shoes!

Really knowledgeable guys, they got me measured up and found a few pair of shoes for me to try out within a few minutes. Very courteous and professional, definitely seem to know their stuff.

This place is exceptional. They measure your foot, watch you walk around to see if it fits right, and then offer you various pairs based on what would look best on you. Best place to buy running shoes that I have ever been to.

Today was my first time in and I will definitely be returning. Kurt was extremely helpful. He told me what kind of shoe would best fit my needs and brought me several pairs to try on. My plan was one pair but he brought me up two I couldn't leave without. I hope they help with the pains I have been having. Absolutely exceptional service!

After a week of swapping out my new shoes I no longer have the pain in my knees, hip and feet. Amazing!!

Had an amazing experience at River Valley Running today! I needed some good shoes after getting scolded by my doctor and they did an amazing job of analyzing my needs and getting me the perfect pair of shoes. They feel a million times better and look amazing too. The staff was great, they are very knowledgable and have all the gear you need to keep your feet happy including awesome socks. Thanks again! I had such an awesome experience at River Valley Running. The staff is just so upbeat and helpful. I had been having a lot of pain in my knees and shins running, and with their help I found the perfect pair of running shoes. They evaluate your feet, and help you choose a shoe that’s right for you. It is a night and day difference. My runs are now enjoyable versus painful. Just wanted to say thank you to the staff, I love my shoes!! :)

Best shoe place ever!!!! After trying everything that I could find to help O took my hubby to the Dr to see if there was anything else we could do to help relieve the pain from his flat feet and she basically said nothing you can do but loose weight and he'd already lost over 40 lbs the last few weeks. So she recommended getting new shoes ever 6 months or more often if need be and suggested this shoe store.
They were amazing! We went in and 1 guy mediately started helping us out, he later grabbed on of the other employees to take a second look at my husband's walk and see how flat his feet were and after measuring his feet grabbed several pairs of different types of shoes to try out and watched him walk in a few different pairs before another employee heard what they were talking about and gave us a tip sheet for stretches and little things he could do to simply help relieve a bit of pain besides just the shoes. After trying out several pairs of shoes and getting feed back from my hubby on how they were feeling they went and grabbed 3 more pairs and had him choose the most comfortable of the 3 after making sure the fit was good.
They were a slightly higher priced shoe than what we were used to but nothing compared to the cost of those plastic inserts that did nothing for him, and these shoes actually helped a ton! He's had more energy and stamina and focus and less pain than he's had since we've been together!

A++ Customer service here. I came in less than an hour before closing and the gentlemen working (cannot remember his name now) was super comprehensive and helpful. We did a gait analysis and measured my feet and he gave me 3 excellent options for my specific foot type. I ended up getting a pair of Saucony Trimuphs. I was even pleasently suprised with the prices! I expected a small shop to be a bit higher but they were very competively priced! And as I was walking out he told me that if I dont love them to please bring them back....now THATS service!

Will absolutely do business again!

I was referred to RV Running by a friend. I was telling her I have super bony, narrow feet and needed to find good shoes, so she told me to go there. I went there today and the service was great. The gal watched me walk, sqaut, and took footprint, and measured my feet. Who knew I was wearing shoes that were too small! I tried on 2 pairs and walked out with the only 2 I tried on. I can't wait for it to warm up, lace them up, and get outside! I couldn't recommend RV Running enough.

I was looking for shoes that would give me enough support for volleyball. It was my first time in the store and I had a great experience. Amber was very friendly and knowledgeable about the shoes. I'm excited to try out the shoes. They feel great!

My son and I had the best customer service ever here today. The two employees were kind, patient and knowledgeable. I had to return one of the pairs of shoes we bought to a discount my son receives at school. They were just as kind when I returned the shoes. Truly a great experience.

I'm not exactly a runner.. unless I'm being chased. But I did visit here to purchase some insoles for my work boots and the gal that was working was more than helpful. The selection was almost overwhelming but she made the shopping experience a breeze. Definitely glad to have another solid business in Old Town.

Whether you are walking or running, this is the place to go. You get real live experts in their field and get to support a local business at the same time. Why would you buy shoes anywhere else!?

River Valley Running is a fantastic store with an AWESOME staff that truly cares about their customers!! They are very, very knowledgeable...they helped my wife and daughter with new shoes which instantly cured their issues! We will be customers for life!!!
