The owner and the other staff member who helped me were both very kind. They explain everything to me and even showed me the part that was bad. They were also willing to dig through my admittedly quite messy car to find my warranty paperwork.

I was quoted $5750 for a bunch of work my car didn’t even need at one shop. Mechanix charged me $1205. They were also quick to answer the phone and completed the work within the time frame they said.

I would recommend this shop to my friends and family.

Could not be happier with my car transformation. Switched out my v6 to a v8 in my 2011 camaro. There was alot to figure out and Jim got it all figured out. Best place to get your vehicle fixed. Honest and fair. Thanks Tom, Jim, bob, and Jake for all the hard work.

Took my car here to get my alternator/battery/electrical problem fixed along with a new wheel barring. He identified the problem quickly (THANKFULLY didn’t have to get a new alternator, which probably would have happened if I took it to someone with less experience) he found the issue, fixed that along with my wheel barring. Price was reasonable and they did quick work. My car drives like it’s brand new. Would highly recommend anyone considering a new mechanic to go here. Much appreciation for Jim and his staff.

Jim is the best!! As a single woman, I more than appreciate his honesty and his patience. When I have a need for a mechanic, Jim is always able to assist me either the same day or the following day. He always call prior to doing the work to give you his findings and the cost. I won't go anywhere else.

Best mechanic around! Jim is always helpful and lends a hand no matter what. He has helped my mom quickly and fairly when she has needed work on her car. I would recommend their establishment to everyone.

My son had some issues with his lights going out inside his car. He was told from previous shops that it was his alternator. After replacing the alternator it happened again. I called this shop and spoke with Jim and he was able to get my son's car in asap. Jim took his time and found the issue causing the problem. Wasn't even a bad alternator either like previous shops had said. He fixed it and even looked at my son's swaybar that again, was told it was broken. Well, it wasn't even the problem. Jim found that it was the wheel bearings were bad, so he fixed them too. Jim told my son that I probably saved his life because if he continued driving it like that, he probably would've been in a bad accident. I would definitely recommend Jim and his shop to anyone that wants a good honest mechanic to work on their cars / trucks. Thank you Jim for everything you did for my son Brandon.

Found my clunking noise when 1/2 dozen other shops couldn’t. The problem was very obvious and could have been catastrophic if not corrected. Then got me in the very next morning and back on the road when the others needed dropped off and left for only God knows how long. Fast, Friendly and Honest.

Jim Brown, This man was very professional and very friendly. I was in a situation with a brake caliper and he was The only shop that would help me when I called. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Had a great experience recently with Mechanix. Brought my car in with what I thought was a big problem. The mechanics looked at it, found the issue, fixed it and test drove my car all within a reasonable amount of time. Price was right and I'll definitely be back.

Jim is the best!!! I work in Jackson but live 1.5 hours away. My car started vibrating while on the expressway on my way home. I found Mechanix and drove straight there. It was the end of their work day but Jim got me right in and back on the road. I am incredibly grateful to have found Mechanix and Jim. Thank you so much!

Took my car in for an emergency 30 minutes before they closed the day before thanksgiving and they didn’t even hesitate to help me out, these guys truly care about their customers.

I called early in the morning and spoke to a really nice guy named Jim. He said that they could see me same day and fix my cars exhaust issue(which we learned later that my resonator fell off). Really nice place, great efficient service and overall awesome place to get your car worked on.

I stopped over unscheduled and they were able to take a look at it. Everyone else would want the car dropped off for a day or two just to take an evaluation. Not only that they determine they could weld in a patch and solve the problem. Others would approach it with brand new parts at around $1500. The patch worked for a total cost of $90. Anybody could be a replacement mechanic and just keep buying parts. These guys are real mechanics able to diagnose the problem and solve it
