Their tortilla chips and salsa are the best I've ever had. I come from Indiana to get them and take home. They deep fry them. Ooh so very good

I've been looking for Birria tacos everywhere and finally found a place that had them on the menu! I took my dad here for his birthday and all the food we tried was delicious. Great service, and house made chips and salsa to boot! I will be back again soon!

By far my favorite breakfast spot in Kzoo. Cool restaurant downtown and or quick and speedy pick up. The food is full of flavor and amazing. Every time the food is cooked to perfection. My favorite is the chorizo breakfast quesadilla. The breakfast tacos are also great. This is the chorizo breakfast Gordita I had this morning for pick up. Keep up the great work La familia crew! Five stars.

We have been here numerous times and the food is always fresh and absolutely delicious!! Our go-to is El pastor burrito, birria tacos, tacos, quesadilla and Ida's Way Taco. The food and service is on another level!! Good luck not overeating, lol!

Oh my gosh! These tacos are amazing. Had the steak, Mexican style with hot and mild sauce. So delicious. Great service. Good vibes. Definitely stop here and enjoy this delicious food if you get the chance.

La Familia is legit, their food is so good and so well priced! Steak Gordita is the best value in Kalamazoo in my humble opinion. So delicious.

I highly recommend La Familia! I love coming here for lunch and the food is always great. Highly recommend the birria egg rolls (I get mine with chicken), torta, Ida Way Taco, CHIPS & Salsa and basically anything on the menu lol. I tried a sip of my friend’s Horchata and it was so refreshing. Pay attention to the hours before coming, and go get the breakfast for me. I still haven’t tried anything from the breakfast menu yet, but I can say it looks good. The service is always great and everyone there clearly cares. Go treat your tastebuds and try them out.

Absolutely delicious food. Great service and polite place to eat. I do wish they would stay open for dinner services though… The Birria tacos are the best in the state!!!

La Familia absolutely slays it every time. I get their carnitas taco plate and the meat is so beautifully cooked and seasoned. Tortilla? Delicious and hearty. Their salsas are complex and fresh. My Mexican boyfriend adores their Huevos con Chorizo. You cannot go wrong here, just watch their limited hours and go enjoy some of the best Mexican food around.

I stopped in for breakfast a few weeks ago and was blown away by how delicious their breakfast tacos are! Their chorizo is authentic and with the right kick of spice, it's so good. I can't wait to come back for lunch and try something new.

My friends at LA Familia make the best Mexican food in Kalamazoo. If you like bland food boring food avoid this place. At LF your taste buds will explode from the fresh cilantro, tomatoes and guacamole. The El Pastor burrito is my favorite it's the bomb 💣 Refried beans and rice will keep you coming back. Try the Big Mig taco challenge it's incredible!

They have some of the most delicious vegan options in town. I've been going here for years and the quality is always amazing and service is quick. Everyone here is a sweety as well.

The food is so good! I just had the birria plate and I’m mad at how good it was because now I’m going to want it all the time. The lemonade was light and refreshing, not overwhelming sweet. The birria tacos were stuffed full of meat and juicy and the consommé is the best I’ve had yet. Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I had lunch at La Familia. Food, atmosphere and service were superb. We will definitely return; hopefully soon.

Our family stopped in after the Kalamazoo Christmas Parade and had a fantastic lunch - and the server was nice. The owner came over to check on us. The food was great!!!!

I got a Taco Ida's Way, a Birria Taco, and the consommé soup and was blown away 🤩! Cheesy, crispy, and full of juicy meaty goodness 🍖! The horchata balanced out their side sauces perfectly, and the best part? It came out within 3 minutes of ordering! So fast 🏁! Great quality for the price!

Quality of food and service is AMAZING!

We've eaten at every Mexican restaurant in the area (even Acapulco out in Lawrence off exit 52) and this is as good as it gets!

We've gone there several times for breakfast and lunch.

I would recommend you get there before the typical rush times like 11:30am as once it hits noon, you'll be in line because so many people visit! Great food brings people out.

The difference here is the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail. Many places will use generic ingredients and throw on a ton of spices to mask the bad tastes.

If you haven't been here, you're missing out!

Now if we could only get them to open on Sunday!
