This is a terrific local bait shop. Very well-equipped, I think they have anything you would need for any kind of fishing from lures to bait to rods, to reels. And hats! And a ton of hunting gear which i barely had time to check out. Run by a couple, and they are lovely people, helpful and friendly.

We forgot out fishing poles home on Cape Cod. Ashley and her coworker helped us out. I even had to come back after I realized the fishing reel did not have any fishing line. They kindly added it for us.

Called in to put together a gift for a family member, who is local ( I am out of state). Dale(?) Was super awesome on the phone and very helpful. Described some merchandise and talked through some of the local gear used. Was willing to put it all together in a bag and wait for the pickup. I am so glad I called! Great service and very friendly. Would gladly stop in when I am there in town next!

Had a great experience purchasing a compound bow, the tech did a wonderful job and went above and beyond to help me get set up at a price point I could afford.

These guys are great, took the time to answer all my questions while just 'browsing' never over sold me and even talked fishing strategy. Have been back a few times and it's the same thing. A bit further for me than other shops but can't beat the people. Obviously I'll be returning for fishing, hunting, and archery needs.

Can’t say it enough, thank you to Craig and all the staff at TS! A colleague referred the archery shop earlier this year and I don’t expect that I’ll go any where else. As far as technical skills and knowledge go about bows, arrows, and all the gear, this is the one and only place I trust. I’ve been down the road with subpar shops with okay service but Tackle Shack is a go-to place, even with questions that I might have about archery in general. Great Shop!

This place just rocks...the most knowledgeable guys and girls around. Great selection of gear,friendly and helpful. WE NEED TO SUPPORT THIS PLACE! They can't stay in business if you buy your stuff at Wally world. Do your part.

Excellent tackle shop. Has everything from bait, to hunting supplies, to camping supplies, to hiking supplies etc. Great early hours, and great prices. The owner, Dale, is a very friendly guy who will go out of his way for you to help. Would highly recommend!

I drive 2.5hrs to use the archery shop at The Tackle Shop. I drive past probably 10 shops between my house and the shop and will never consider using any of them. Craig (who runs the archery shop) is by far the best bow technician in the Northeast. I have 3 shops within 15mins of my house and they all suck. I have had them try to tune my bow and install rests and every time I end up back at The Tackle Shack so Craig can fix their mistakes. Another positive is the amazing deli across the street that serves amazing food and great local beer.

The absolute best hunting/fishing store I've been to. They have a great selection and a polite and professional staff with fantastic product knowledge. I strongly suggest stopping by if you're in the area. If you're not in the area, type their address into google maps and make it a destination!

Finally, a place in the Sunapee area that runs on Common Sense and good, old-fashioned, upfront dialogue. Friendly staff, very helpful, always go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need - or they will get it for you. Will continue to shop here.

Craig is so helpful and genuine, he had no problem explaining the local rigs and hot spots depending on if you are targeting bass, largemouth or smallmouth or any of the other sport fish in Lake Sunapee and surrounding waters. Great tackle shop to make a point of stopping at!

Great place to pick up bait and tackle. Awesome selection of lures, knives and even firearms! Friendly and helpful owner. Always pop in for bait with my son when we are in Newbury.

We have rented U Hauls from Dale at the Tackle Shack for a few years now and he always is so polite and helpful! The equipment is in good shape and is always there when we need it!

The u-haul center here has been a lifesaver! A truck for moving furniture once, trailers several times for all sorts of needs- it's so easy and he always has what we need-- superlative service too!
