El Arriero Restaurante Mexicano

Dining in at El Arriero Restaurante Mexicano was one of my favorite experiences thus far! From the cozy ambient lighting to deliciously fresh and authentic cuisines to the top notch impressive service that was provided! I’ll definitely be returning…ASAP

First time here @ 11:45am. Quickly greeted and sat, clean table, immediately brought chips and salsa without asking for them. Salsa was obviously homemade. Waiter spoke great English. I saw one special when I walked in that the Super Burrito was $2 off (reg $12.99). I looked it up on the menu and saw it was filled with BOTH chicken and beef with rice and beans inside and tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream on the outside, but no rice and beans on the side, so I ordered a side of beans (frijoles). It was made quickly and tasted great. Very clean bathrooms, also.

Family friendly restaurant. Quick and friendly service. Lots of menu options including vegetarian! I tried the vegetarian fajitas and it was pretty delicious. I want to learn how to make veggies like these at home!
On a Sunday night, we were seated and given chips and salsa right away. We got our food within 15 min of ordering. All hot and fresh.

The food is always great and the service is always fantastic! This has been our lunch spot for years. I've tried pretty much most on the menu. Very authentic. This time was dinner and the drinks were slamming!

Everything about this place is amazing. My boyfriend and I came here for a little date night and we had such a spectacular time. The drinks were so good and the chips and salsa were amazing. We will definitely be returning!

We stopped in with friends for El Arriero's flan. Their version of the dessert is my absolute favorite! Topped with whipped cream that's been drizzled with chocolate or caramel syrup and crowned with a long stemmed maraschino cherry, this delicious concoction is an island of golden sunshine resting in a lake of brown sugar sauce. Sweet perfection!

We showed up for an early dinner. Everyone was very friendly. Ordered Chile Verde, and like always it was out of this world. The meat was very tender and the sauce was PERFECTLY seasoned. We also ordered queso with chorizo and it was also very good, did not have that top layer of grease you find at other locations. My husband asked for a different salad dressing for his salad, and we were told they did not have any, but soon there after the waiter came with the packer of Salad dressing. They actually went out and bought some while we ate. Like I said, excellent customer service. We love this place, wonderful food, clean place, and great staff.

One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Grand Rapids. Consistently great quality with speedy friendly service. The most amazing Chile Verde! They go above and beyond. They ran out of Ranch Dressing and actually had someone run out to get more...and did it fast! Great drink specials. Nice family atmosphere. Prices are fair. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy authentic Mexican food.

The food was great. I've been here a few times and never had a bad experience. Food usually comes from the kitchen within 10-15 minutes and everything is well seasoned.

This place was pretty good! Service was quick and efficient, not very talkative or chatty but nothing wrong with that! Food was pretty good too, chimichangas were really packed full of chicken, a little too full for my liking but the sauce they served over top was very tasty. Bean dip was delish, and so was the salsa. Tamales and enchiladas were also pretty good. I would recommend getting one of the combos, they were a great value. Rice was a little weird, it had corn, peas, lima beans, and carrots in it and wasn’t very flavorful. It wasn’t repulsive but not the best either. The food came out super quick which was nice. Overall a good experience and definitely worth a try!

I ate the Hawaiian fajitas. The bacon gave a unique flavor to the chicken and beef. Portions larger than what I could eat. Great value and delicious food. The server was a little too preoccupied with prepping silverware. We had to call her twice for service. But I expect that she will learn as she matures.

The Arriero Chimichanga was yummy. (One bite is missing in the photo!) The three meats - steak, chicken, and shrimp - were a nice touch. Very light and crispy.

My new favorite Mexican spot in GR - Massive portions for a very affordable price. I can't wait to go back

Awesome service and parking and food was very good. All homemade from the kitchen and not from cans! We had a lovely dinner and the margaritas were very good! Very festive atmosphere 👌

My husband, sister-in-law and I stopped in this delightful restaurant while running errands. This was a wonderful dining experience. Atmosphere and decor are vibrant, hostess/server was a delightful young lady as efficient as she was friendly. The refried beans were fresh, rice cooked to a perfect texture and the Pollo a la mexicana was so good, best Ice had in years.

Service is always fast and efficient. Authentic Mexican food that tastes great. Why go to Taco Bell across the street when you can have way better food and service at a better price!

Food was really good and so was the setting. Our server was also really nice. I would go here again!

HUGE proportions of absolutely delicious food! The staff was very friendly and attentive. What a perfect way to round off my birthday weekend! Definitely adding this to my list of favorite places to eat.
