On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - Woodland Mall

As a Mexican American I never understood the criticism about restaurants like these. Obviously this isn't authentic but they can make a great dish. My family and I had a terrible new years and luckily this restaurant was open and I loved every single take they had on our dishes. The only thing I didn't like was the rice but I think I'm just use to that one I make. The tacos were ground beef but instead of steak cuts but honestly it was good overall if you're just trying to look for good food. This place makes good food and that's all that matters. If you want authentic go to any place on Burton or division but I ain't trying to get robbed

I had an amazing time at this establishment, the server was nice and very helpful, we were seated immediately with chips and salsa and the portions of the food were really good I came home with a lot of left overs !

They always have excellent food and drinks. This a good place for girls day lunch or just to go in to get some good food. The food is reasonably priced. The cilantro rice was sooo good. The tacos were really good and they have always given a nice amount of food for the price. Sometimes reservations may be needed if it’s the weekend. There’s a mall across from them to kill the time though. Oh yeah, you get chips and salsa automatically and the queso dip and fresh guacamole is really good as well (they make it in front of you if you get the guacamole live).

Great experience. The shrimp tacos were loaded with flavor.

Alex did a great job serving us, even as a larger group of 8. He was attentive to drink and food needs, and knew exactly who ordered what. We had a wonderful time and quick service. One of our favorite places to eat out around Woodland Mall.

Everytime I've ate here, the food is awesome. Their black beans are amazing. The last time we were there, our waitress was great & very attentive. We had a pitcher of margaritas, they were perfect & tasted great. One of the best margaritas I've had in a while. The southwest chicken tacos were excellent & I'd highly recommend.

Big place with lot of tables and sitting options. The decoration is on-point and has very good vibe. Convenient location next to the mall. Service is fast and nice. The menu has lot of food options and drink. The food was tasty and decent in price.

We had a great time, and Shaun, the bartender, gave us excellent service on food and drinks! We left him a nice big tip! Lol

Amazing food, great service, delicious drinks and beautiful environment! Definitely nothing to complain about and would recommend for anyone looking for good filling food and tasty y drinks. Their happy hour runs from 3pm to 7pm and have daily specials.

Great food, great staff, and we love the guacamole live! Carne Asada was sizzling and on point!

Great place for drinks and food! The chips and salsa are the best! I ordered the queso and guacamole, chicken fajita, and Soppapias. All excellent! I will definately be coming back!

Came for the Smokehouse fajita and it definitely did not disappointed me. The portion was so huge that we had to share 2 orders between 3 people. The queso bowl with the hot and crispy chips is a spark as well. Gabby is my favorite server!

Just what we need. Arrived during happy hour and ordered 3 5 dollar apps. My partner got a very large Margherita, 5 dollars. We enjoyed flautas, mini tacos, and nachos. Good service. Had our meal outdoors.

Had a mango fish dish. Spicy and done just right. The corn chips were right out of the kitchen. Warm and slighty salty. Fresh salsa. Delicious Mexican cuisine. Fun atmosphere.

We had a large party. We were seated pretty quickly. Our waiter was really on the ball.

Good quality food at a decent price. Atmosphere is very chill. Good time with friends or just a dinner date.

My husband and me sat at the bar. Right away we where served chips and salsa! The bar tender Corey was awesome! He was very friendly and his service was excellent! Our food was so good!

This place has some of the best damn salsa I've had, and it keeps coming! The food is delicious, and the service is on point. The only downside to this place is that with it being right next to the mall, it's pretty damn busy there often. Besides that, I would recommend this place to anyone ever.
