Gary is an extremely competent attorney. His "personal style" of dealing with his clients might not be stoic but you know exactly where you stand! He's not going to be banking extra fees, and gets the legaljob done.

Gary makes sure the job gets done. Easy to reach and affordable. Any other attorney in the Kalamazoo area is slimy and bills you for every sentence of an email or second on the phone. Gary never does this. I would and do recommend him to all other landlords I work with.

What I thought was someone helping me, apparently wasn’t. After being in an abusive relationship the property was somewhat damaged from my ex and I guess I accept responsibility for that. The damage costs should not have exceeded $500 other than the window (which I’ll get to next) ,and I would have thought the $600 security deposit would cover the cost. The tree outside was old fell during a storm and broke the bay window, he didn’t believe me and got away with it in court and charged me for it. He didn’t fix the window until after we left (about a year later), we lived in that apartment with a broken window all winter and no help came. He told me I had to fix it. When winter came and I fell behind we decided to leave. I gave notice and left and told him the day we were leaving I was gone. The apartment itself was literally a swamp. It was and probably should be condemned. Anyway he got a money judgment for almost $5000 because he charged me for 3 months rent after I moved out and lied to the courts and said I was still living there. So all in all don’t rent from this man, I have heard from multiple legal representatives and court representatives around town since this that he is a slum lord. Hope you can see him for who he is before it’s too late like me. Now I’m $4000 in debt and no one will rent to me.

I called this man because I was served legal papers about a piece of property I own, and the man was EXTREMELY rude. I couldn’t even get out the entirety of what the paper that was filed said, because he was so curt with me. I’m guessing based on our conversation and how it went, that he was familiar with the person who filed against me, and he didn’t want to deal with them. I never even got to tell him how much money I had, which was not a small chunk. Maybe that person is a headache, but why not just say that? Why act like IM THE PROBLEM? I don’t even know you!

Maybe he is good for certain things. My neighbor seemed to like him. He’s been in business for years.
HOWEVER
he did not have to be so rude & dismissive. asking me a question then interrupting me before I finish a single sentence. Even his tone of voice was irritated, rushed. Very plain he was upset I even called, like I should have known better or something. I guess he doesn’t want money. Go ahead and call him if you’ve got something that’s not a lot of work or if u don’t care much, but I would NEVER trust him with something important after that conversation. He may get irritated at me in the middle of my case and then I would be stuck dealing with THAT when I try to call for info! No way.

This man is unprofessional, rude and crude. I have never experienced anything like this man. In the almost two years in one of his properties he has lost my rental payments more than half the time. In his words "Please Advise". How can anyone be allowed to conduct business so unprofessionally, and be so unethical. This man cannot be trusted. As of Friday June 28th 2019 I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. I have turned over my bank statements as well as all written, and electronic communications from Mr Apps as well as the harassing voice messages. Do not trust this man!

I THINK HE IS VERRY UNPERFFESIONAL,WHEN HE CAN TELL A CLIENT TOO DROP DEAD ITS NOT WHO I WANT TOO DEAL WITH.IT IS SAD AND HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL SEE WHAT THIS MAN IS A CROOK AND RUDE
