White Horse Inn

We had our wedding reception here and it was the greatest decision we made. I've always wanted great food and I was not disappointed! So many guests have raved about it being some of the best wedding food they've ever had, if not the very best. The atmosphere for our smaller (100 people), intimate wedding was perfect and very 'us'. But the one thing I'm incredibly grateful for is the outstanding service. From the planning, set-up, reception, and clean-up we received 5 star service. We wanted to enjoy the day and not have to worry about anything. They took care of setting up our flowers, decor, card box, place cards and more. Staff even took care of two party crashers so quickly, only a few people noticed. We loved this place before and it will now forever hold such a special place in our hearts. 100% recommend for dinner or any event. You won't be disappointed!

Celebrated my birthday. The place was beautiful with so much history. If you are the type of person that loves wood work then this is the place. The ambiance is so calming and relaxing. Great food, great service. My husband and I enjoyed our time at White Horse Inn. Definitely recommend going.

I love the White Horse Inn! The ambiance is so warm and cozy. So inviting. I love all of the wooden floors, such character. It's a really big space, bigger than I remember when I was a child when I used to come with my grandma. I love the horse mural and the pieces of horses all over the area. I enjoyed my dinner so much, although a plain choice it was probably one of the best Cesar wraps I've ever had! The igloos are such a fun addition too, if you get the chance to be in one! Reservations are highly recommended at any point coming here, tons of people come here all the time!

We love our dome dining experiences, we had the BoHo base camp. I think our dome come with a minimum $250 order. With dessert takeouts we meet our minimum. FYI, there is a 2 hour maximum stay at the dome.

Our waitress and team were so friendly and attentive without being pushy. The food was delicious and plentiful.

We sat in one of their outdoor igloos and it was an enchanting experience from start to finish. The decor inside and out was wonderful, the staff from the hosts, to manager, to waitstaff were all super friendly. We had several appetizers, 4 different entrees, and two desserts, every thing was absolutely delicious. Will be coming back and recommending to others!

Husband got the fillet and I ordered the pot roast. Both were absolutely delicious! Our server was so friendly but not over the top! Such a beautiful restaurant. Yes I took pictures of the floor. So old and well kept.

My friends and I rented an igloo for the evening. It was a wonderful experience! The igloos are 2 hours long and $250 minimum. We had great appetizers (get the Brussel sprouts), I had the plum salmon (amazing) and some great wine. They have a great wine and cocktail selection. Also there are a good amount of vegetarian options.

Cute place! We sat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait for a table. The bar seating is a bit tight. We enjoyed everything we had to eat and drink, except the string beans, which were undercooked.

Love this place!! Each igloo has its own theme, this was so much fun to get together with friends. The food was amazing we were all pleased with our meals .

Wow! We were blown away with the atmosphere, service and food! You know how you can go somewhere new and at least one person gets a bad meal….nope! Everyone got something different and it was delicious!
We got the cowboy Mac and Cheese for the table and it was the best I have ever tasted.
I ordered the roast and wow!!!!

The whole place is gorgeous! From the floor to ceiling! A lot of love was put in restoring this treasure.

Super cool restaurant. Horse stable decorations are unique and cool. Went to lunch with friends and everyone found food they loved. They even had a gluten free menu. Server was very knowledgeable about the choices and it was fun that she gave her options. She also offered suggestions, when I eat this I would add cheese or change dressing etc. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal.

This place is a must see/visit experience! Such a beautiful restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Great to visit during the holidays too! Christmas tree farms nearby.

Update- Aug 26, 2023: Spent another wonderful evening at White Horse Inn. Food was fantastic, service was outstanding and the dining atmosphere was fabulous, once again. An amazing place with amazing staff serving delicious entrees. Can't wait to visit again.
Discovered this wonderful restaurant while visiting Metamora. Outstanding atmosphere inside. So much to take in. Loved the flooring and horse memorabilia. Incredible outdoor dining area, too. Super busy during the Hot Air Balloon Feast, but was seated quickly. Food was reasonable. Good size portions and it was very good. Pot Roast entree was excellent and if you're hungry, I highly recommend it. Waitstaff was friendly and restaurant was clean.
Beautiful flowers outside. Definitely recommend White Horse Inn.

My family has been coming for years, we always reserve an igloo and have the best time. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. The rustic chip dip is my favorite 😍

AMAZING PLACE!! Never been to metamora before (or heard of it) but i was with my grandpa and he wanted to eat out here, i said sure because he always had great picks for restaurants. it was some of the best food i’ve ever eaten, and our server hannah, did a wonderful job especially with how busy it was.

we had the artichoke dip and shrimp as appetizers and i ordered the mac & cheese and lemon artichoke chicken as my meal. the baked potato i got with it was fluffy, buttery and warm and the veggies were steamed to perfection, along with the evenly breaded, crispy chicken and how the flavors blended together was amazing. for dessert i got the blueberry pie with ice cream. it was a special tonight so they might not have it when you see this, but it was delicious. they homemake their ice cream and it’s a very creamy vanilla bean.

Fantastic restaurant, great food, and service. Wonderful place to visit. I love the woodwork, art, and style of this restaurant. Our server for the Christmas party tonight was outstanding. They did such a good job of preserving the feel and nature of this establishment. I've eaten here maybe 6 times over the years now, and every experience has been amazing.

Festive outing with great food. Service adequate and not because they were busy....just a little lacking in checking in and didn't notice item ordered and charged for were never brought out.

Service, atmosphere was amazing. Best ribs I have ever had at restaurant, the sauce was good too. Loved the seasoned fries, u could tell they were handcut. House salad & homemade ranch was also good. We also had this spicy shrimp appetizer that we loved. The only thing I didn't care for was Coleslaw, but my husband liked it. Will be back.

Been around since the 1850s and it’s very well maintained and decorated. Wife’s bucket list and we had a very nice late lunch with kids and grands. Staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered pretzels and spinach artichoke dip for appetizers. Generous portions of both. I had the potato chip crusted walleye. Nice portion and very tasty. We live on the west side of the state, so it was a destination for us, but well worth it.
