Life is Sweet Bakery & Cafe

Stopped by on my way home and did not regret it! They have a large selection of a variety of pastries with tons of sandwich and drink options as well. The servers are patient and friendly and take great care of the guests- they are a lovely face for the company. The cute shop attached has unique gifts and home decor to check out as well. Highly recommend!

Milan is the sweetest little downtown, and I will travel 1.5 hours from home to visit the local shops. We can’t, however, pass up this bakery. The luscious displays, large selection of choices and amazing tastes makes this my favorite bakery in Michigan.

Today we bought cannolis to celebrate our birthdays. We, also, ALWAYS buy a package of Cherry Almond cookies and Gingerbread cookies for the ride home.

Life is Sweet Bakery and Cafe is a hidden gem that has stolen my heart with its delectable treats and cozy atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE this store! They have a great atmosphere and a ton of variety, so pretty much anybody can find something that they like! My family and I go to the bakery every once and a while, and every experience has been amazing! My favorite items that they serve are the cream cheese stuffed bagels 🤤 and my favorite one of those is the pickle stuffed bagel! Can't wait to go back!!!

ONE OF THE BEST CANNOLIS I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!! I pass this place to work and have considered stopping many times and I’m so glad I finally did! This place is an absolute gem and I’m kicking myself for not stopping sooner! The store is so clean and organized, there were so many amazing options it was hard to choose, and the staff were friendly! I will be back! And I will be begging others to try this place as well! ❤

We took our son here for his birthday. He really enjoys bakeries. I ordered the Monte Cristo and had a Pretzel Sausage Dog. Both were pretty good. My daughter said her favorite was the cinnamon crunch bagel. All their calzons are perfect according to my wife. My son really thought their sugar cookies were the best ever!

Love this place, delicious and large variety of desserts, breads and sandwiches. it is like one of the bakeries in Greektown, without the traffic of going to Detroit.
While waiting for that great sandwich walk around the shop and you will find such unique items and gifts.

Updating the review because Life is Sweet is still in town and still as sweet as ever. A cozy and welcoming atmosphere, a delightful selection of sweets, hearty sandwiches, refreshing drinks, and now an entire pantry section. We love stopping by whenever we are in the area.

Our first visit to Life is Sweet Bakery and Cafe, and we can't wait to get back again. The cozy, quaint atmosphere invites you in, with plenty of seating areas. We also spent a fair amount of time just strolling through trying to decide what to get. Baked goods include endless options, including cakelets and a huge variety of cookies. There are great meal options as well, including the from scratch chili. Teas are available to take home or brewed in the cooler. (The citrus tea is amazing!) It's wonderful to have a bakery again in Milan, but this one is so much more. ❤

This place is amazing! Wonderful and cozy ambience. My mocha is great. Waiting for my Caprese sandwich which I'm sure will be delicious. There's a great little gourmet type store in the adjoining space.

Our family loves this place! The treats are always fresh and tasty! All the employees are very friendly!! Today we had an everything bagel stuffed with cream cheese and a Tropical Sunrise smoothie.

Wow. Just wow. I just had a Tres leches cakelet from life is sweet, it was completely outstanding. I also taste-tested fudge wine with cream soda, and bought some other goodies for a birthday present. I will definitely be back! Sorry for the picture of the empty box but it was THAT good!
EDIT: I also bought the lemon & lavender cakelets and super cute cookies for my mom's bday. Also SUPER good! Added a photo before they were devoured. Can't say enough good things about this place and the food :)

This is my favorite bakery and I drive 30 minutes just to go here. I haven't had one baked good from there that wasn't tasty. We had lunch there yesterday and thier sandwiches didn't disappoint either. The turkey brie sandwich is too die for😍

Absolutely wonderful. Everything in delicious; sandwichs, pastries, brookies, ice cream, coffee, tea! Rolled butter cookies - can't leave store with out some, assorted other cookies (reminds me of my mom's cookies). Great gathering place.

This bakery is wonderful the staff was very nice and patient due to they have so many delicious sweets to choose! Teas are great coffee was a too bold for me. I’ll be taking more rides to Milan. Keep up the the great job you all do.

This place is so cute. Their pastries and desserts are incredible. The staff are all so helpful and super friendly. The iced matcha is seriously to die for.

Oh Lord this place is amazing! We come here at least 2 times a week to get their savory rolls! Their sweets are amazing also.
