What a treasure to have found early on in our trip to Beautiful SLC! Welcoming, Personable, and extremely Talented barbers were wonderfully professional for us today. Not only did we have a great atmosphere and complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy while we relaxed shortly before our appointment.... We were also recommended to some local spots to eat and enjoy the afternoon, we were very grateful! 🙏🏼

We went in not having an idea of the desired cut and we walked out very happy with the results of the haircut and beard trim/shave. I will add that Tyler's technique is skilled in various types of hair textures (displayed in both my visit and his customer before us) ....we are impressed!!

Awesome environment! It was my husband’s first barber shop experience and it was wonderful. His head shave could’ve been better but we would definitely come get his beard lined up again! His barber was very nice and comfortable and understanding.

After narrowing down On the Blade from so many barber choices, my 20 yr old son had an excellent experience! He'd lived in his truck in Jackson Hole for the summer and was looking quite rugged. The warm blade shave and style cut, on top of the wonderful interaction with the Barber, he was a Happy Camper when he strolled out, looking sharp!

Charles was awesome. Great cut and nice guy. Will be coming back!

I've started to make note of the places that I could recognize as institutions that contribute to making life in Utah a really great experience. This is definitely one of them. I've lived and worked downtown for many years and tried lots of different barber shops. I heard Charles gives the best haircut in Utah and works agree he's one of the b best barbers and is an awesome human being. He wasn't available last time I booked and was a little reluctant to have to use a different barber. I ended up going with Derek, and Derek gave me an equally first-rate (in every way) cut.

I've also stopped going to several barbers because of the locker room talk (often worse). This shop, though, keeps it classy while still feeling approachable and welcoming to their clientele.

Clean. Organized. Pricey but not unreasonable and worth every dollar.

I’ve been going to Charles for 4 years now and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with a haircut. Not only is he great at his work but he’s very intelligent and funny. If you want a great haircut and a good conversation I recommend On the blade barbershop.

These guys are awesome. I’m from out of town and wear a style that needs touched up frequently. Not only did they fit me in on a busy weekend, the work was highly professional and well done. Friendly, excellent technique and great pricing. Tyler helped me out and I was very grateful. He went above and beyond for a touch up and I was very appreciative! Totally recommend.

Really good hair cuts for a great price. No nonsense, attention to detail, and its almost like an art to these barbers. They are very critical about their cuts and they get you in and out looking your absolute best. Makes you feel really confident leaving their shop. I've always struggled to find a consistently good barber for my son, who is mixed- Especially in Salt Lake City. Charles took the time to make sure my sons hair was perfect, and the overall experience was unbeatable. I truly cannot say enough good things about this shop in comparison to the other places we've tried in SLC. Quality and service here are both top notch. This place is second to none! I was looking for a barbershop that caters to ethic skin and hair. Being black in Salt Lake city, it was important to me. I set an appointment the night before and walked in right at 10am and Charles was waiting for me. He asked what i was looking to do with my beard and made some suggestions and went to work. Charles hooked me up in about 30 minutes. All while we were chatting about football and basketball over ESPN that was on the TV. I asked about products for my beard and he gave me a sample of a product his wife makes. The product great smells great and I can't wait to use it. All in all, it's a professional, hip, lil spot downtown with laser precision shape ups. Will certainly be stopping by weekly!

Those guys at 'on the blade Barber' are brilliant. They really know their craft. I'd almost say with kind of 'german precision' and passion for detail they indeed live their slogan 'not just a haircut, it’s an experience'. If you are looking for not only an affordable but excellent haircut go for this place!

On The Blade is hands down one of the best if not best barbershops I’ve patronized in Salt Lake City. The owner and staff are very professional, and always on time for appointments. On The Blade is also in a great location surround by great restaurants and public transportation that can get you pretty close to the shop. So, if you’re looking for a great barbershop where you leave with your cut on point each and every time—On The Blade is where you want to be.

I have been going to Coach Chuck for years when he was at Ray's. He has always been good and attentive while cutting my hair. In addition to a great cut, he's a great conversationalist with an impressive taste in music. I go to the barber to relax, unwind, and get a bit of self care. Coach Chuck delivers in spades.

This is what a real barbershop is! A place to relax, laugh and debate. Derek's been my go to for years. Super glad he linked up with Chuck at his new place. It doesn't matter the barber you get here. You will be very pleased with not just the cut, but the service as a whole!
