Great locally sourced food and drinks with super service (Collette is a gem).

So far, the Tavern Burger made from local beef and the shrimp and grits are my favorite dishes. As for cocktails, my new favorite is their Tiramisu Martini with the Strawberry Screwdriver a close second.

And it's a bonus that the dining room looks out on the Presidential Range.

Our family stayed at the Mountain View Grand for three nights. We enjoyed dinner at the Harvest Tavern two of the three nights. The first night, we ordered tomato and burrata salad, shrimp scampi, french onion soup and cedar plank salmon. The other night we enjoyed the charcuterie platter, the pork chop and ordered the shrimp scampi again as it was such a hit a few nights before. The views from the dining room are spectacular and the service was attentive. The drink menu is inventive and the kids options allow for a variety of sides. The kids especially enjoyed the "dirt" cups.

We stayed for three nights at this superb resort, but most of our dining was from the Harvest kitchen in-room rather than in the dining room itself. Whatever we ordered, from turkey clubs to steak frites, we found everything to be first-rate. On the third night we dined in the restaurant proper. I had the Peri Peri half chicken (sizable) with mint jasmine rice, pickled veggies with a citrus yoghurt sauce. My partner had the shrimp scampi with giant trattole, in a garlic herb Chablis sauce. For a side we delighted in pan roasted Brussels sprouts magically prepared with maple butter and curried walnuts. We counted this as one of the most memorable meals in recent times. The chicken was roasted to a crispy paprika perfection and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The scampi with trattole was an unusual treat and simply scrumptious. For dessert we had a deep chocolate mousse coated with a chocolate glaze with a shortbread “moose” as a comic touch.
Superb dining here really. Those diners who had unfortunate experiences couldn’t have been where we ate. Our server was bright, proactive, cheerful, and attentive. Perfect evening!

We’ve now had two excellent meals here: a lunch for two following a morning at the spa with sandwiches, salad, and clam chowder… and also Christmas dinner for a family of 5 five.

On both occasions the service and food were great. I don’t post many reviews but felt I needed to here because our experience on multiple occasions seems to be quite different from some other reviewers.

Salmon, short rib, chowder, soups, salads, and sandwiches are all very good here. Try and grab a table outside in summer and fall. Enjoy.

Delicious meal at the bar. We had the burger and the turkey club. It was clearly high quality turkey, super yummy fries and chips. Excellent service at the bar they were so attentive.

Had a breakfast buffet here this morning! Nothing surprising, but everything was good. We had cheesy eggs, French toast (with real maple syrup), fruit, and home fries; all were great! Staff was attentive and quite nice, and the mountain view outside the windows was gorgeous.

I seriously don’t know where the bad reviews came from. The food was exceptional. My husband and I have pretty high standards when it comes to how our food tastes and this was some of the best clam chowder, salmon, and pasta we’ve ever tried. The salmon was so juicy and literally falling apart tender. The waiter was very courteous and kind. The pretzel was also absolutely delicious. Excellent cuisine.

This place is completely suitable. The 3.3 rating isn’t right and most likely the result of naturally disagreeable people unleashing their wrath with staff shortages from covid - I can’t imagine theres a large pool of experienced service workers out here in the middle of the white mountains.

I had dinner at bar tonight. Bartender/server was good - friendly, competent, etc. French onion soup was delightful. Burger and fries were completely decent burger and fries. They had ~20 beers on tap.

It’s not winning 3 Michelin stars but it’s totally fine pub fare - as good as you could hope to expect. Doesn’t seem to deserve some of grief it has gotten and/or is corrected now. Relative to hotel bars - it’s a good warm room too.

Located inside of Mt. View Grand. Stopped for a breakfast buffet, delicious and diverse. Personal favorite blueberry bread pudding. They are currently under construction, staff seemed disoriented with where it is set up for now.

Service was excellent, as were the food and drinks! I ordered a pork chop -- so good -- and my husband ordered the braised beef ribs. It was excellent. Our cocktails were perfect (strong) and our desert was delicious too. Thank you!! Couldn't be happier with our experience here.

The food was delicious (ordered the pappardelle and the lamb), our sever was so friendly and attentive, not to mention a perfect view of the mountains all made for a really amazing experience.

We stayed here for 2 days, ate Breakfeast, lunch and dinner here and the food was very good. Service was excellent also.

I don't know why the star rating is so low because this was honestly some of the best food we have ever had with the sweetest staff you will ever meet and a beautiful mountain view. The only reason I can think of is that locals find the price point too high compared to others in the area. But coming from Boston, we thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality of food they're serving.

We loved the tavern! The drinks were fresh and tasty, the food was delicious! Service was quick and attentive.

Love it here! Very friendly accommodating staff and everything single thing we've eaten has been delicious! Highly recommend 👌

This place was clutch. Great quality food, super friendly staff and a beautiful location. Would recommend.

A must try farm to table don't get much better
