This is a lovely venue for musical performances. During the rain they use a open-sides pavilion with tables and chairs. When it is sunny they use the veranda with guests on the lawn in their own chairs. The grounds and the garden are lovely too.

Gorgeous well maintained piece of history. I cannot wait to go back when more is in bloom and to view the house. We met a couple who volunteer there and they shared so many exciting facts ...we really look forward to checking out Christmas there and concerts. Just a lovely place to hike and enjoy the view.

Had a great time. Gorgeous, well maintained gardens and cool architecture. The employees were very kind and above and beyond helpful. If you don't come in time for a guided tour there are a lot of detailed pamphlets that give a good sense of the history of the place. Wear close toed shoes to walk around the gardens unless you want to get a bee sting on the foot like I did!

Every time we go it is an amazing experience. Late November and we were still able to do the 1/2 mile Lake Loop and it was beautiful!

Beautiful gardens. The tour of the house and gardens were given by people who loved the place. They were very informative and could answer all questions we had.

A great spot to go for a walk! Lots of beautiful views of the water. This is a relatively easy walk, no elevation, but you should pay attention to roots and rocks.

What a hidden gem this place is, an absolute delight to visit. I came in the summer and experienced the luscious grounds that are meticulously maintained & bursting with colour and beauty. This Autumn, I came for an event inside the main house and was equally astounded by the elegant decor & rich historical heritage. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, I will be back again whenever I can!

In additional to beautiful gardens and house, there are hiking trails that take about 2 hours to cover. We loved it!

Enjoyed our time here. Beautiful grounds and gardens and nice, well maintained trails. Also enjoyed the nice sculptures situated around the property. We even had the opportunity to speak with one of the artists. We need to come back when we're able to tour the house.

Nice stop. Long walk from the parking lot to the house but worth it.

What a wonderful function area. The gardens were exemplary and we'll maintained! The grounds staff certainly know their share of horticulture. A few special and secret gems here. One being the former state champion sugar maple and the other a sugar maple that was donated by President Teddy Roosevelt. My favorite on the whole grounds were the massive display of Rhododendron. Certainly a sight to see in April, May, June. A gem of New Hampshire.

A must see in Sunapee. Beautiful grounds, lovely house & thoughtful historic gardens. A self guided walk is a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Their annual plant sale is not to be missed.

What a wonderful surprise. Was provided with free admission to this beautifully place with our stay at Mountain Edge Resort and Spa. So glad we took the short drive. The house is wonderful and the gardens are gorgeous, even in early summer. I can only imagine them later in the season. We will be back in August! Can't wait!

Wonderful day enjoying the beautiful historic house, gardens, and nature walks. Good introductory film. Tour house and garden at your leisure. Several secluded places in garden to sit and enjoy quiet. Next time we will bring some cheese and wine. Thank you for honoring the military! All military and immediate family admitted free of charge.
