I don’t typically leave Google reviews but my family and I had such a fantastic experience with Bob Skinners that I felt I’d be doing fellow renters a disservice if I didn’t share our story.

We went to Bob Skinners with two young kids, both tired and whiney. All of the people working there were so kind and helpful. By the time we left, we had two kids, both laughing and excited to give skiing a try. When we returned the skis, they referred to me by name. Absolutely phenomenal customer service and we couldn’t imagine a better price. The people there actually cared about getting two young kids on the mountain and stoking their excitement to try skiing for the first time. Thank you so much to everyone there who helped us!

Skinner's is hands down the best demo/rental shop I’ve ever been to. Right when I walked in everyone was so friendly and happy to help. They opened at 7, which was great because I forgot to reserve demos the night before. I mentioned the demos I had tried earlier in the season and what I liked and didn’t like about them. Frank immediately knew what skis I needed, and I had two awesome days on them. I’m already looking forward to going there again next season. Highly recommend!

In a word, WOW. A genuine locally owned gem. I was recently there with my GF to get her a new pair of boots after she was mis-sized at another shop. The foot scanner they use gives a ton of extra information that conventional shoe sizers just don't give, combine that with the insane level of boot fitting expertise they have there and she was squared away in less than 30 minutes. What really stood out to me was the level of care and integrity shown by every person in that shop. When they were fitting her boots to her skis (sidewalk find she has been using for 2 seasons) they warned her that they were actually kids skis only rated for 100lbs and could split on her considering they are around 6 years old. They let her borrow a set of demo skis at no charge so she could try her new boots out and make sure everything was good safely (we use those Carv things and her metrics improved by almost 20% in multiple areas on the new boots). When she came back she was interested in safer skis but didn't want something with the price tag of the Demos. Rather than try to highlight features and upsell her Doug found her a pair of Atomics that not only were in her budget but also came with bindings that saved her a ton of money on top. We had such an incredible experience I went back a day later to get a new pair of boots myself. I am a huge nerd and they were even getting into the nitty gritty of engineering and materials with me. This shop is the total package. Frank, you guys have two new customers for life! Shop local y'all!

This shop is fantastic for both racers and recreational skiers. They treat everyone like a VIP.

This place is literally the BEST! Before coming here, I had such problems with my feet in my ski boot I couldn't even get to the chair lift without being in excruciating pain. Frank is the reason I am able to ski pain free! He spent so much time with me, listening and making sure that I felt great in my ski boots and after about three hours he had my boots dialed in and I was able to ski pain free for the entire week I was there! If you have any complex foot problems that prevent you from skiing Frank is the person to see!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Bob is so caring and helpful. Helped me get the right snowboard, but also gave me my money back after finding out I fractured my wrist, got a concussion, and bruised my tailbone upon returning my snowboard. He cared about my well-being and the challenges ahead and told me not to worry about the cost of the rental. This is not only a really great rental place for gear, but a place that has great people.

I have had many boot issues over the year, giving up skiing because of it. The owner worked with me for over two hours, scanning my foot and noticing hip issues I hadn’t thought about in years. He ultimately sent me off encouraging me not to purchase new boots until I tried the heel risers he cut for me, given he wouldn’t change the size I had. The first day I went out, I did 17 runs with no pain.

Ended up getting a jacket I love here, and will be heading back to pick up some tech boots in the near future. This is a wonderful shop, the team here is extremely knowledgeable about gear and just overall great people. Highly recommend for anyone experiencing boot issues or looking to get into new forms of skiing.

This shop is conveniently located at the base of Sunapee and is the place to go for skiers looking to get a custom fit for their boots, great selection, and amazing customer service. The owner has been so gracious with helping me with boots I purchased from a different shop that treated me quite poorly. I know I won’t go anywhere else in the future when I need more gear.

Super friendly and helpful! What a great spot

Charlie fitted me for a pair of boots and I could not be happier with the results. I came in with my own boots, which were killing my feet. Turns out they were too big for me. They took them on trade for a very fair value and Charlie spent over an hour with me listening to my concerns, measuring my feet, educating me on how boots should be sized, and trying on several different pairs. Settled on a pair of Tecnicas and have skiied with them 2 days pain free. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Have visited several times during our week at Sunapee. Rented equipment from them for my family, which was also a great experience. Highly recommended!

Great experiencing renting a 1-day ski package for my 14 YO since Mount Sunapee was out of rentals. You can't reserve online in advance there so we arrived there at 7:00 am to beat any crowds. It was a very efficient process and much cheaper than renting at the mountain. Will come back again.

Frank and the staff are great. I am from florida and I frequent CO, UT, WY for my ski trips- out of all the ski shops I’ve been too over the country, Frank and his team are the best, hands down. Friendly, EXTREMELY knowledgeable with fittings, and very reasonable prices! I would give 6/5 if I could.

Great local store to rent winter equipment from. Our equipment was in good shape and they even had size 14 shoes for my son. They were busy but the while experience went smoothly.

Dropped by this AM to grab some Nordica Enforcers (amazing skis). The staff at Bob's are first rate. Honest, expert knowledge, patient with a lot of questions and very friendly. Will be getting all my sons' new skis at Bob's when they're ready to level up. Highest possible recommendation.
