I would like to Thank Patel& Cardenas for assisting me in my legal woes but in particular Lazaro Cardenas and Yeimi Hernandez. I initially applied on my own for a loan modification through my mortgage lender. I was denied for reasons unknown to me. I contacted this office to assist in an urgent matter, and Derek Soltis was the first person that I spoke to. He was patient and listened to me and answered my questions without insisting that I hire his office. By the end of the call, he had gained my trust. Attorney Lazaro Cardenas is a God-send. Our situation is complicated and I was not even sure my mother's house can be saved. There were so many complications that I really feared that my brother and I would lose the house. Attorney Cardenas was very reassuring. He was very confident that we will not lose the house and he was right. It took almost a year only because of the process involved in getting documents submitted, records retrieved, and everything else that is expected of getting ownership transferred to my brother and I. To be honest, I am not sure about the actual process because Attorney Cardenas and his office took care of everything. When he felt that the mortgage company was delaying the process, he suggested that we obtain our own financing and referred me to a colleague who was so helpful and so patient and so sensitive to our needs. The whole time he was also checking on financing process to make sure we were not being taken advantage of. He was always on top of everything. Mind you, he is a busy man. But he never took his eyes off of us. He even checked on the new mortgage agreements to make sure we are indeed getting a good deal.

Yesterday, July 23rd, we closed on our home. It is officially ours. I had some doubts along the way, brought on by not knowing the process but Attorney Cardenas always allayed my fears.
