Great place, great food. Been coming here for 2 years. My complaint is I’ll order a sandwich and the three people after me will all get served before mine is done.

This is an exceptionally well run operation with the owner Steve and head of catering Andres. We celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday and got the catering done. Steve delivered at our hotel and perfectly set up. We had numerous calls with Andres on menu selection and he was patient and very professional. Finally, the food was incredible and our guests kept asking about the catering and how well planned the menu was. Not only is the quality amazing, you are dealing with very good people. Highly recommended.

Monterey Fine Foods catered my father-in-law's repast last weekend. Andres was professional, helpful, kind, and very patient - he offered and delivered every convenience, and the servers were amazing. When they left the place was spotless. The food is amazing, special shout-out for the shrimp tostados, the summer salad, and the onion dip w/homemade potato chips! Would definitely recommend and use them again.

My office orders from Monterey Fine Foods all the time. They have a great selection and everybody in my office loves their food. I would definitely recommend them for all your take out and catering needs. Andres and Steve are great to work with while placing your orders.

I had my son’s 1st birthday party catered by Monterey Gourmet this past Sunday, and to say everything was PERFECT is a huge understatement! Not only was the delivery fee completely reasonable, but they were here 15 minutes early, brought everything in for me when I asked, and all of the food was packaged safely and tightly so that nothing had spilt or leaked en route to my house. The owner was actually the one who delivered my food, and when I tried to tip him, he refused to accept the tip/money because he said the owner cannot accept tip money and said he just hope we enjoy everything. I’ve been in the restaurant industry myself for over 15 years now, and I can honestly say that NO ONE would be so honest as to abide by that “owner can’t accept tips” rule. So clearly, this establishment is run by honest, genuine, kind and good-hearted people. All the guests LOVED and raved about ALL of the food. The tequila lime shrimp with corn and tortilla chips and the lemon garlic grilled chicken were probably the biggest hits! I had people asking to take some home with them. The ordering experience was also phenomenal- easy, quick, simple, and they provided me with tons of honest suggestions, advice, and detailed information for the 382749364 questions I asked while ordering haha! So, all in all and overall - 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will be using Monterey Gourmet again and again and again for any future catering orders I need for sure! Thanks Monterey Gourmet, you guys killed it!!!

We had MFF cater our family party this past weekend and we will only use them from now on. The food was DELICIOUS and beautifully presented. We were so impressed at how easy the whole process was from communicating (Andres was always so responsive) to having the food delivered and serving it. We had 22 people. We ordered a charcuterie board, Mediterranean salad, tabbouleh salad and room temp food that consisted of filet mignon, fried chicken and tequila lime shrimp with their sides. We ordered room temp food so we wouldn’t have to worry about heating anything. We love this place and can’t wait to use them again!

My office always orders from Monterey Fine Foods. Andres and his team are professional, easy to work with and the food is amazing. Looking forward to ordering from them again.

A very cute place for lunch. There is an extensive sandwich menu and many other items like salads, chips, beer, wine and sodas. They have about 10 tables set up outside for you to eat your lunch. There isn't any table service. My sandwich was delicious! Great place!

Great pre made foods. Decent liquor selection . Along with drinks. If you are in a hurry or do not have time to cook a meal . This is the place to go . Very . Nice and helpful . The fillet mignon is great

Ever since new ownership took over, the ambiance is lacking and some of the shelves are always bare, but they continue to have quality food. Great place to grab a sandwich/panini or premade real food for lunch (incl. GF options) ... Oddly, they also have a liquor license, but the selection is lacking and a bit pricey. There are far better liquor stores right up the street.

Best sandwiches in NJ, not even debatable. Amazing and friendly staff and ownership. Plus their catering is to die for. If I lived closer I’d eat here every single day.

Pricier than your average deli but so worth it. I recommend you call ahead and pick up your order that way. Great farro salad and their paninis are delicious. Honestly been going here for years and have never been disappointed.

Quick friendly service, topped with unique menu items makes this the best place for a lunch outside or to take out. With take out beer and single bottles available it is unmatched! Fresh, fast, unique, this is what food should be! Huge menu, highly recommended!!!!!

The food here is really good. You are going to pay a little more but the quality is worth it. The coconut macaroons are amazing.

Love going here for lunch. Staff is very friendly. The ladies at the register are very polite and welcoming. The food is very good. The salads are always fresh. Love it.

MG provided some excellent catered entrees, beautifully presented and quite delicious:poached salmon, flank steak, eggplant rollatini.

New ownership. Same good experience. I like that they are open later now (7pm).
