Minuteman Whiskey Bar & BBQ

Best smoke house I've been to in the Northeast. Cowboy old fashion was great and the smoked wings are definitely with the trip. This is also the first place I've been to outside of Chattanooga that had fried pickle spears. This place is worth the trip people. I'm writing this review as I am in the restaurant.

Wonderful little place. Very nice people. Stopped here on my home from getting a car in NJ. Stopped again after picking up my new plates for the car.

The ribs are good, the brisket is the star, but I like the turkey when they have it. People note that the service is slow but it's actually the kitchen and the timing of the meat, so don't blame the wait staff who are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is bigger and Ttey've got a nice bar, so I usually order ahead for take out—sometimes it's over an hour to wait—then show up early and have a beer while I wait and last time I ate my dinner on the grass hill out back overlooking the highway. The sides aren't super (cole slaw, Cajun corn) so I say get extra meat and have a salad tomorrow.

Tender, juicy, flavorful with a kick bisket. 😋. Staff is all friendly as heck! Love it here.

The food is always fresh and tasty, but the service isn't always that great. Young kids work there, and they haven't developed that sense that people have been sitting with empty baskets since the appetizers and cups need to be refilled. But the food is worth dealing with it.

They had a live band on Thursday. The brisket and dry rub wings were out of this world delicious!! Everything was delicious!! I would definitely return!!

If I can give a 4.5 star rating i would. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was upbeat. The only couple of things that would have changed from a 4.5 to 5 star is that to have real menus instead of using your phone and some of the food served was not as warm as it should have been. Price was not outrageous but not low.

Another delicious meal at the Minuteman. Ribs were so tender, meaty and flavorful. Brisket was also very good (my wife's favorite). An excellent last minute add-on were the Sweet Chili sauced chicken wings which added a different flavor profile to our meal. Next time we'll eat in and enjoy the ambiance and whiskey!

Very good, but expensive. They ran out of fries so I had the homemade potato chips and they were awesome. Our waitress kept forgetting to come to our table and I had to get up to ask about our beer, Napkins, our appetizers, etc.. The tables were very sticky and the booths very small, really only good to fit one person on each side. My husband and son were constantly bumping elbows while trying to eat. Your food is served in flimsy cardboard containers. For the money we spent I would have liked to have a plate so that when I cut my food I wasn't getting cardboard shredded up into my food. Overall, I can say the food was very good but service is poor.

I enjoyed the ribs, but I think they could have been grilled more. Huge portion, very meaty.

Deb had Fish Tacos and they looked delicious.

Service was friendly and on top of everything.

A nice night out, reprising our final dinner mid-March 2020 prior to Covid shutdown.

We happened upon this place driving home and were attracted by the outdoor seating and quant building. We were not disappointed. The vibe is very cute and had good food. Service could have been slightly more attentive but there was a party on the other side.

Delicious bbq, family friendly service, lovely ambiance. My husband and I brought our 3 children for dinner. We have lived in various parts of the south (Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia) and know good bbq when we eat it. First the restaurant is beautifully decorated. I immediately felt transported back to Texas. We ordered a little bit of everything- pulled pork and chicken and some brisket- and all the sides. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The owner came out and chatted with us as we waited about the history of the restaurant and their recent updates. When our food arrived we were overwhelmed with a wide array of delicious bbq. It was all authentic, fall off the bone variety of pit bbq we grew fond of in the south. The bbq sauce comes in hot and medium, both were delicious. I was particularly fond of their cold slaw that was the most delicious, crisp, vinegar based cold slaw I’ve ever had hands down. Our kids ate heartedly and were very pleased with the homemade macaroni and cheese. Overall the food was superb and we had not an inch left in our bellies. I’m sorry to say we had no room for dessert but we will make sure not to repeat that error next time because the desserts looked marvelous.

In addition to the delicious food and the friendly service this was a very family friendly restaurant. Our young children were greeted with smiles by everyone in the restaurant.

We were so glad to find this local spot and will definitely be going back!

The ribs were extremely tender and flavorful. The sauce i got was the mild one. Sweet and not spicy at all. Wife got the bbq wings and said she would get that again. Dinner for 2, drinks. 70 bucks plus tip. Not a bad price

Great BBQ made the southern way. Brisket and pulled pork are my go-tos, especially the pulled pork sandwich.

Some of their sides are really good too. I'm a big fan of the hush puppies and the mac n cheese. Only thing that tastes a bit weird to me is the coleslaw, but thats the last thing to worry about at a BBQ restaurant.

The decor inside is on point, and it feels roomy and spacious. There is also outdoor seating during the summer.

The staff was friendly and energetic. The atmosphere fit the name of the restaurant. The menu is easy to read and navigate. I ordered the pulled pork with baked beans and potatoes. It also came with tortilla chicken soup. It was very good and fresh. We also had dessert. I had the apple crumb pie. It was perfect! When I go back that way I will definitely stop there again!!!

Owners are nice, much better than famous Daves honestly foods are like 100% better! Juicy, true to taste. Please open 5 days a week is my only complaint

Awesome spot. Found it by chance. Will definitely return. Great bang for your buck. Homey atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. The food is the star of the show. Had the fried pork belly appetizer. Hubs had the brisket hash special and I had the St. Louis rib platter. Delicious. Everything was quality and fresh. Kudos to the chef and owner. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu. #meat

This place is very unique. The staff is young and friendly. They care and are pleased to have you there. The surroundings are clean and bright. The tables and menu's are clean and scrubbed. The management thinks these things are important and the staff works hard in maintaining this level.
There was a young girl who tirelessly wiped each page of each menu off while she waited to greet new customers. She never stopped cleaning after she seated these customers...a rare find if you watch some of the staff at other places. Not every other place, I'm just making an observation about this place. Kudos to this young girl. If they clean their menus this well, how clean do you think the kitchen is?
Spotless I'm sure and scrubbed clean every night.
C'mon, the food here was delicious. There were 6 of us there for dinner..ribs, burger, pork all excellent. Barbecue sauce was excellent also. Important to know that they had the absolute best coconut cream pie I've ever had. Gluten free desserts also excellent tasting here.

Love this place!! Food, service and kids options. They all loved it!!
