Wonderful find. Friendly staff, beautiful peaceful atmosphere and a very varied menu. We had the won ton soup, hot & sour soup, beef on a stick, seafood pan fried dumplings, shrimp w veggies & cashew chicken. We loved everything we had. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

One of the only restaurants that has not raised prices in the last year!! Owner said she is doing her best to keep prices down and not passing cost own to customers.

always on the lookout for good Chinese food. Most of the places around central Jersey are not great. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The woman that runs the place is very warm and welcoming. Give this place a try It’s better than any other place in the area. When I was there a half dozen people came to get pick up and they all told me they get a good pickup from Empire weekly. The owner knew each of their names . Very friendly staff.

First time I tried this restaurant My husband and I ordered wonton soup, pork, lo mein shrimp with vegetables. I ordered two egg rolls my husband hates egg rolls, but these he absolutely loved Everything was so good I can’t believe we’ve lived here for two years and didn’t know this restaurant was here. We live in Marlboro, restaurant is extremely clean and the people who work there are extremely helpful and courteous. we ordered for takeout, but I will be taking my whole family back to this restaurant for sit down dinner and definitely more takeout. Thank you to the people who work there. This is now my go to Chinese restaurant.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I am not the biggest fan of Chinese food, mostly because I noticed that many places are either just not the same anymore or simply not good. However, Empire Szechuan goes above and beyond. Their food is excellent. It is delicious every time. Their fried pork dumplings are incredible, because they are homemade (unlike many other places). Their fried rice is excellent, the yaki udon noodle dishes are spectacular, the boneless spare ribs are very good, and honestly not one of their dishes is not good. I particularly like the sesame chicken/chicken fried rice combo. I don't know what it is about their sesame chicken that makes it different from other places, but it is absolutely delicious. The chicken is crispy and tasty. I love this place and everything about it. I truly believe it is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Plus, the staff and owner are very nice and friendly. Overall, the food is phenomenal. It is extremely clear that they take pride in their cooking and delivering fresh, non-greasy food. I will absolutely keep coming back :)

P.S. - their portions are very big, so you definitely get the most bang for your buck

We came across Empire Schezuan by googling one night, and never looked back. It is our go to! They are so friendly and accommodating (food allergy) on the phone every single time. The food is ALWAYS amazing; never oily or greasy. Everything tastes high quality every time we order. Delivery is always prompt, food is hot, driver is SO kind. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

We got a table for eight. Everyone had a favorite dish. My daughter loved the scallion pancakes, my son loved the vegetable lo mein, my brother really enjoyed the different types of dumplings, and I had several favorites with the wonton in spicy sauce being the stand out. Service was excellent. It was a long drive for this get together, but completely worth it.

Very good food! Ownership very nice! Very accommodating at this restaurant! We often take out - food here is very good in restaurant or as take out. I just called to thank them and to tell them how good their food was tonight. :)

Always a great meal here. Really nice people, and the food is fantastic. Combination plates are extremely well prices and filling, and the sushi chef does a really nice job. Highly recommend!

I found this restaurant when I moved out here in the 90s. I have never gone anywhere else the food is amazing
I came out here from Brooklyn and I said if they have good spare ribs and good egg rolls the food's going to be good and they have never disappointed me and the family is just wonderful thank you. They are the kindest people and the hand roll sushi that you can watch just a great experience every time I've ordered from them

I have to say it's hard for me to find a mapo tofu dish I like. Since moving to the Marlboro/Old Bridge area, every single restaurant I've ordered from has struck out in comparison to my families homemade mapo tofu dish. This place however does a really really good one. Just enough spice, great flavor. Felt the need to leave a review since I don't see any on this specific dish which is one of my favs. Will order again, :)

This is our third time ordering from Empire. Happy to say hands down the best Chinese food in Monmouth County. Moreover, the Wonton Soup was unbelievable! Bravo! Kudos to the Chef and Team!

Food seemed very authentic! Our server seemed surprise when we insisted on the bone in chicken for the Chendu Style! It was so good! Also had shrimp with fried egg, it was delicious. Portions were generous. And it was the first Chinese restaurant where I saw a complimentary appetizer (fried dough w/ sauce)! They serve you hot tea as well instead of water, and the tea cups were so cute!

The real deal Chinese food. Hot and Sour soup made the right way!! All dishes are delicious...Highly recommend!!

I love this place, great for dining in and take out depending on what you’re feeling. The food is freshly prepared and they also have sushi which is a great addition to your meal.

I have a very hard time finding a Chinese food that I enjoy. I finally found the one!! Food was delicious. Chicken was not fatty at all and sauce had great taste, orange chicken. We all had something different and all enjoyed! Online ordering makes it simple. Good service as well. Will be ordering from them again.

This place is our family go to for Chinese food the last 6 years Everything is delicious, fresh, and we have never had a bad experience with either pick up or delivery.
This is definitely on par with NYC area cuisine. Although we have never eaten the food at the restaurant, there always seems to be a crowd there.

This is a good restaurant for takeout. Not much inside but the food is not too expensive and pretty good. Portions are not bad and the service is very quick and easy.
