PETE aka PHD Mechanical is absolutely wonderful. Very professional, scheduled an appointment for me in an emergency for my sump pump. Answers questions even after the installation about how it works and Alex who came today did a great job! I highly recommend this company. This is not the first time I had them come and as always very satisfied.

We’ve had PHD come to our house on a few occasions. Always great techs who do solid work — they explain everything they are doing and why. We have worked with them through our home warranty and also called them for items outside scope of warranty because we trust their work.

Owners are great and super helpful. Andrew also came to my house and was very transparent on what he was doing and different solutions that can be taken

Most companies if not all companies in this field will not provide pricing until they can see the issue, this prevents quoting one price over phone and then quoting another price in person if the issue is worse than previously explained over the phone****

The guys at PHD mechanical were extremely helpful, professional, and gave me a great price for setting up a water softener and reverse osmosis filter. Also walked me through the set up, how it works, and told me to call with any questions. Will definitely recommend them to everyone

Pete and Andrew were very professional, honest, friendly, clearly explained what the issue and exactly what needed to be done. They did amazing work for me at my home! I have a Navien Boiler that had cost me over $8k in repairs in 5 years. No one could help me, after contacting Navien and tracking down the New Jersey Reseller I had someone refer me to Peter from PHD Mechanical.
Pete came out within 24 hours, identified the problems, went above and beyond to secure parts and fixed my boiler within 48 hours, installing new components, reconfiguring the plumbing and adding in features that would ensure I wont have future issues.
I can't be more thankful to Peter and the team at PHD Mechanical. I had many plumbers come out, no one could tell me what the issue was but they all had creative ideas that "might" fix the problem for many thousands of dollars.
PHD Mechanical pricing was vey fair, the service was excellent, they are Navien certified.
They communicated the issues clearly, extremely polite, they cover there shoes before entering your home and they left the boiler room cleaner than they found it.

I mean, they even followed up with me a week after the project to make sure everything was ok and there were no issues - top notch service!!!

Peter and Jennifer were professional and were able to come out to our house twice in less than 30 hours. Once to diagnose our hot water heater and once to replace it. The work looks great. I would use this company again.

Called PHD Mechanical for a hot water heater issue…Jake & Alex the tech’s were assigned the job they were punctual, professional & thorough! Jake was able to diagnose the problem & get the replacement parts ordered & installed in less than 24 hrs! Nice to have guys with knowledge & experience working in your home! I will certainly use PHD again for any future issues & would recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right!

PHD Mechanical was outstanding! I've had plumbers here before, and can see the difference in professionalism immediately. The PHD team, Jake and Steve, arrived to our old 1849 house, on-time, and they were highly efficient in fixing my 2 faucets. They left no mess behind--they were very clean and considerate from the outset, with shoe coverings, etc. Most importantly though, they were smart--I don't like to hover, so they fixed the problems, and then afterwards, explained to me (a non-plumber) very clearly what they had fixed, so I understood thoroughly. That is the mark of a genius: you explain complicated subjects clearly to clueless people and they get it. I really appreciate learning about how house things work, especially as a new home owner. Thanks so much Jake and Steve, I recommend you wholeheartedly! I would definitely use them again; they are trustworthy and excellent.

The team was professional, courteous and did a great job. Jennifer even scheduled a weekend install of my hot water heater! Peter and his tech who did the install were on time and on point…and worked in a tight area. The initial tech (sorry I forgot his name!) diagnosed the issue quickly and got the info to the office. A quick hiccup with American Home Shield, but the PHD guys were awesome.

Peter & his assistant Ryan of PhD Mechanical did a great job of replacing a defective bathroom sink faucet. He even provided some professional guidance on keeping the plumbing in my recently constructed home working for many years to come. They're the best in my opinion.

We called PHD Mechanical to fix a shower leak which was behind the tile causing secondary damage. Peter was able to identify the leak, in a corroded pipe and fixed it, he was able to do so with minimal damage to the tile. He left the job site clean. Shower is now good as new. Thank you, Peter! 5 stars all the way for your expertise and professionalism. Highly recommend.

Rob, from PHD Mechanical just installed a new water heater for us. He was right on time and very polite. While working he took extreme care to keep his work are clean and organized. He appears very knowledgeable and his finished work was impeccable. My toilet decided to stop flushing properly. I called my home warranty company and they sent PHD Mechanical. Jake and Steve showed up and could not have been more friendly and professional. They explained everything and showed me exactly what the issue was. After a LOT of work, all was fixed and working perfectly. Our old heating system boiler failed so we called PHD to see if they could fix it. We had never used them and had no maint agreement but Pete was quick, fair, professional, and had good pricing and had it replaced quickly. Excellent work and great to work with. Great experience.

Pete Sr., Pete Jr. and Jake make a great team. They’re responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient. My boiler was leaking in early February, and the PHD team worked into the evening to ensure the root cause was resolved and our heat was functioning properly. Would certainly recommend PHD to anyone in the area for plumbing jobs big or small.

Jake Woodruff is the man at PHD mechanical Inc. Jake was dispatched to my home to locate and repair a water leak in the ceiling of my man cave, he located the problem, turned off the water in the house and proceeded to cut through the dry wall to complete the repair, he cut a little slit in the pipe and water came down like a fire hydrant that was not suppose to happen, a little water not a fire hydrant of water, we were able to get big enough water coolers and garbage cans under it to save my cave thankfully, well to make a real long story a little shorter Jake realized the water had to be shut off outside by the city, he called the city and they came pdq shut the water off Jake completed the job and installed a water cut off valve in the basement so that I would never have that problem again. Thank you so much Jake you are indeed the man at PHD mechanical and I’m voting for you to get a CEO pay raise🤣😄 Thanks again Jake keep being great!
