Rich's Barbershop

I’ve always had trouble finding a barber who can consistently do a good job and Rich is just the guy. Not only does it look great right after the cut, but grows out exceptionally well, so well that I often forget to schedule an appointment until it’s been several weeks longer than normal. Prices are also very reasonable, especially for the value he provides. He’s not very chatty but always has cool science documentaries playing on the TV.

Great price, great guy, great haircut. Rich (I presume) played a history channel doc about ancient Egyptians while he cut my hair. Brass tacks haircut from a quality dude. Easily one of the best haircut experiences I’ve had and for only $30 all in. Will be back when I’m in town

I've gone to a lot of barbers in Salt Lake City. I'd never been to Rich's until today. I'm a little cheap, and I think that all the years I'd driven by Rich's (at least once daily, and usually on weekends, too) without trying him for a trim is that I figured he was pricey, being in that prime location. After yet one more experience getting the creeps at a downtown barbershop, I decided I didn't have anything to lose and decided to go for it with Rich today.

Rich's shop is immaculate, the TV didn't have anything objectionable going on, there was no raunchy music, the conversation wasn't rated R. To boot, Rich is a very skilled barber, and he could charge double, or more, for the complete package that he provides.

I'm thanking my lucky stars I've finally found a barbershop that I'm comfortable with. Thank you, Rich!

I've been seeing Rich for a few years now, and he is hands down the best barber I've been to on the basis of competence, speed and price. It is unbelievable that he does such a great job and charges what he does, which is much less than he could charge. He is cheerful, professional, very knowledgeable about his craft, and his shop is always clean and inviting.

I can't imagine anyone giving him less than 5 stars, and I believe that the "gentleman" that did (and left no explanation as to why) was being juvenile.

Bottom line - if you're a gentleman, go to Rich's Barber Shop for the best haircut at the best price you've ever experienced.

Rich is awesome. He did a great job on my beard, which I’m pretty picky about. He is obviously very experienced and knows his craft. He takes good mental notes on what you want, and is willing to touch up a bit after to make sure it’s spot on, if necessary. He is also an amazing value right in the heart of the city. Give him a solid tip! And don’t let the fact that he doesn’t have much hair trick you into thinking he won’t know how to take great care of yours! ;)

I highly recommend Rich's Barbershop. Just a good clean simple haircut for all ages. Especially good a traditional style trim.

My husband has been getting his hair cut by Rich for many years. His office used to be downtown, but now he travels 15 miles to see Rich. Rich does a great professional man's cut. He is fast and easy to get into. We know several other men who also are loyal to Rich and keep coming in, even if they have to travel several miles. Rich is a great barber and goes the extra mile by paying attention to details. He always listens to how I would like my hair cut or styled. He keeps his shop clean and there is always an interesting documentary playing in the background. I have been going to Rich for years and will continue to do so.

Rich is a really nice guy that has a passion for running a barber shop and has been doing so for 15 years. Very knowledgeable about all things hair, and its comforting to know that he doesn't sell things from his shop that he hasn't tried himself. Would go here anytime for a haircut. Usually appointment only but I walked in and he was able to fit me in anyway!

Rich helped me to find a new hair style that better suited the shape of my face. I could not believe how many compliments I received after my new hair cut. This barber is not only talented at style cuts for men, he gives the same meticulous care to women. Best of all, if you do not love your hair cut, Rich asks you to come back and he will fix it for free. I will be going back, because I love his work!

Rich not only gives the best haircuts in Salt Lake City, but in the Arabian peninsula too. I live overseas, and I only get my hair cut from Rich’s Barbershop.

Rich is amazing. He is so centered on attention to detail and has a lot of experience. He's reasonably priced and does a fantastic job.

Rich is never rushed, gives attention to the customer's concerns, and is observant. My hair always looks good after a visit, and he helped me change my hairstyle in a very subtle way so it looks better now than before. I like the way he uses clippers judiciously and scissors liberally.

Rich is an excellent Barber and one with many years of experience. From the outset you can tell that he caters to the professional gentleman. He takes his craft serious. Parking is a little tricky but there is on street parking off State street. Rich also assured me that there is guest parking in the garage in back. It is also a comfortable walking distance from the City Creek mall so you can combine your trip with a stop there as well.

Always a fantastic haircut. Whenever I'm in SLC I try to make an appointment. Never disappoints. 👍

Not only was the haircut spot on... it was an extremely competitive price! The shop is very open and welcoming, the chit chat was great, and Rich makes the visit more than pleasant. I will be back again and again!

Great guy works fast, makes you look good even with very little instruction. Won't talk your ear off, but have had great conversations whenever I was feeling chatty. Perfect Barber
