I was so impressed by the positive reviews I heard about Katonah Plumbing when inquiring about who to choose. The name came up several times and they performed as well and actually even better than anticipated. They responded immediately, explained everything, worked efficiently and left everything functioning perfectly and clean. Katonah Plumbing does business the way we all used to rely on… upfront, quality service and reliability.

I have been using Katonah Plumbing & Heating for more than 10 years and would never consider anyone else. No job is too big or too small. These guys know what they're doing. They are friendly, responsive, professional and reasonably priced. 5+ stars!

We have an older toilet that was continuously running water. KP ordered parts and came out and got it working perfectly. They were very professional and knowledgeable and kept my house clean.

Bobby was wonderful. He swapped out our hot water heater and was completely professional and friendly. He took a few minutes to bond with my puppy, who was at first very nervous to have a stranger in her home, and he took the time to help me bring in a huge package that was delivered while he was leaving. Customer service at it's finest. Katonah Plumbing has a customer for life.

Katonah Plumbing & Heating replaced a gas water heater and three toilets for us and we couldn’t have been happier with their work. Mike and Bobby were kind, courteous and diligent, and their work was flawless. They were also highly responsive and accommodative of all our questions and asks throughout the process. We’ll be sure to use them again for any plumbing needs we have, and would highly recommend them to others.

Sadly, the people at Katonah Plumbing & Heating are like family to me. Our house was built 40+ years ago, and we moved here 27 years ago. Everything that could have deteriorated has deteriorated — twice. Whenever that happens, I call my old pals at KP&H, and they send someone over quickly. Always courteous and compassionate, as well as technically competent, their staff gets the job done while keeping my misery to the bare minimum. The owner, Sal, is a can-do guy, and when things get really ugly, he does his level best to talk me off the roof. You’d be making a huge mistake to go to anyone else for your plumbing and heating needs.

I would only recommend their services in emergencies or if cost isn't a major concern. We are new to the area. Our senior citizen neighbors recommended them along with two other companies. My refrigerator filter was leaking water and needed replacement. He noticed this during his inspection of the access point I had already opened and also suggested we address the aging pressure reducing valve, which he happened to have on hand. It seemed to be a common issue, and he quoted me a rate of $285 per hour plus the cost of parts. I decided to bite the bullet and I agreed, and his young assistant he bought with him efficiently replaced both the regular and refrigerator filters in under an hour. I offered to pay him immediately and brought out my check book, but he declined, stating that he would send an invoice as he wasn't certain of the regulator's price(Remind, this is a common issue and he had this item on stock). This puzzled me because I had never encountered a plumber or contractor who didn't want immediate payment for their work.
In summary, he ended up billing me for 1.5 hours of work despite completing the job in just one hour. When I questioned this, he explained it was due to the time spent going to the store to purchase the water filter (Which he probably should have had as professional) and the time he spent preparing the invoice, which he counted as billable hours. This is the first time I heard someone charging me time for invoicing. To make matters worse, the parts he provided were marked up two to three times higher than the market price. For instance, a 3/4 pro press repair coupling costs $7 at Home Depot, but they invoiced me $22.10 for it. The 3/4 pressure reducing valve at homedepot is $150 and they charged $275.00.
In the end, the total bill for replacing the pressure reducing valve and refrigerator filter came to $905. I reached out to multiple plumbers when I initially had the issue, and one of them called me back the next day. Out of curiosity, I inquired about the cost of changing the pressure-reducing valve and refrigerator filter, and he quoted me a total price of $350 for, parts and labor. This was almost a third of what I had to pay Ketonah Plumbing. I believe that they originally operated as a small, family-owned business, which might explain their longevity in the industry. However, over time, they transitioned into a larger corporation and began hiring employees who seem to engage in unethical practices, taking advantage of customers.
