Spoken Bicycles

Visiting Middletown from DC. We showed up at 2pm. So not very busy. Owner was working on bikes, and very friendly. Took our beer order and had a nice conversation station about bikes beer and Ohio. I like the beer, and I like the concept of mixing beer with bicycles.

When I first heard about the concept of Spoken, I was incredibly intrigued. It’s both a bike shop and a bar and provides an awesome atmosphere to hang out and have a drink with friends. They have a great selection of bikes and can fix any issue that you may have with your own bike.

Great experience! Will definitely use Otto for any bike needs in the future. Came right to my house. I bought two new tires, I needed put on my Cannondale and he fixed my bent rim all for $30. Highly recommend using Otto! Bike rides like new again.

Spoken Bicycles is the Cycle Shop in Middletown. They have quite a few high quality bicycles for men and women. They have road bikes, mountain bikes, street bikes, and tricycles. They even have a tiny tot bike. Spoken Bicycles doesn't just sell bicycles. They have professional technical assembly, maintenance and repair right in the store. You can find bicycle accessories, helmets, gloves, cool T-Shirts, hats and socks, as well as messenger bags. Spoken Bicycles also has a cocktail bar and is a must stop shop on Middletown First Fridays as well as other downtown events and venues. Sent an email about a problem I was having with my bike and had a quick response, set up an appointment, Otto arrived saw my issue and had me fixed up in less than 20 minutes. Absolutely fantastic! Truly expert service. Consistent, reliable, timely repairs, excellent customer service, good gear selection, weekly group rides, and... bonus: amazing craft beers on tap! As a pretty avid cycling geek, I'd tell anyone at any point in their cycling journey: from novice to expert, that you should go see Otto at this real bike shop; that is also very involved with the community, therefore creating a sense of community.

This place is awesome. I wish I lived closer so I could just go and hang out. The staff is wildly helpful and the owner, Otto, really cares about his craft. As a rider just getting my feet wet in the cycling world, they make it super inviting to come in and ask questions. The prices are more than fair! They have even talked me down on some services saving me money on unnecessary repairs. I now drive 40 minutes to get all my biking needs from Spoken and it’s totally worth it. Not to mention you can grab a beer while you’re there!

Otto stopped by my work on his way into work. He replaced my bike chain on the spot. His prices are very competitive. I highly recommend him!

This place has always done such a great job with my bicycle and the small repairs I've needed. Guy is very cool and knows his stuff. I'd prefer spoken over anyone n town..

I really did not know this shop was there until several months ago, I happened to be walking past and when I noticed it I remembered that I needed a couple of valve caps for my bike. I walked in to purchase the items and the owner simply gave me a couple and smiled and said "no charge". This small gesture made me want to go back when I needed to have the tubes replaced on my bike tires. Once again, the person I dealt with went out of his way to be helpful, did the job quickly, while I waited, and the price was quite reasonable. They now have a customer for life. Good job guys! It is shops like this that make me glad I try to "shop local" whenever possible.

This place is great! Not being super knowledgeable on how to correctly repair my rear axle, I took my old Fuji bike in and they quickly fixed it right up - also helped with a brake issue I was having. Super affordable and helpful. Definitely will be bringing my bike here for service from now on and recommending to others. 👍👍

Spoken is a great shop, and the only one I trust to work on my racing bikes. Prices are good and the level of service is exceptional. The in-store bar is great, too. Always some good beers to try. Their Tuesday night runs and Thursday night rides are friendly and welcoming. Need a bike? Go to Spoken. Have a bike? Take it to Spoken for service. Thirsty? Stop bu Spoken. No matter what, you'll be happy you did.

We had a great experience getting our bike tuned up here. The workers are friendly and helpful plus a great tune up price. We will definitely use them again

That's a great place to go to get bike parts and accessories they can order parts if you needed they got about just everything so go check it out and also they have a bar so if you are really thirsty you can have a beer while you're waiting for your bike to be finished worked on 💯😉😀👍👍

Must try the signature cocktails available at the bar! Craft beer is also on tap for the beer loves out there.

My tires were bald from so much Riding on the bike trails of Life. I called spoken a great deal and very nice he will install in just a few minutes.

Called around town to get tubes and tires replaced and installed and no one was able to accomodate. Came across Spoken Bicycles and called Otto and not only was he able to get me in right away (while you wait service!!) his rates were very good and you can grab a pint while you wait! Highly recommended and will be back for all my bike needs. Thanks!

The only place I go for my bike service, parts, and apparel. Otto always has a quick turnaround on my bikes and great prices. The beer list is always rotating with a good variety of craft beers and the cocktails are great also!
