Best and freshest meats around and the best cuts. The customer service is topped by none, it is a pleasure entry time I stop. I buy meat no where else but here. Lunch specials are always delicious and hot. The deli sandwiches are fit for a king and made fresh. If they made it feel anymore like home I would be moving my recliner and tv in. There will never be a negative change to this establishment, they treat you like family.

Vonderhaar's Market has become my go to place for lunch and catering. The lunch specials are very good and well-priced. The catering has again come through with delicious food for my party. The Steak Burgers were awesome, the Brisket Metts were something new that was outstanding, and the red potato salad was delicious. Way to go Vonderhaar's! Thanks, Jim, for the recommendations and guidance on selections.

One word to describe Vonderhaar’s is superb! I have NEVER been dissatisfied with anything from here, & their catering is just as delicious, good presentation & choices to delight everyone! You’ll smile! 💕

Hot lunch specials daily M-F: huge portion and cheaper than a drive thru.

The deli/meat counter and homemade sides and meals for one always impress.

Don't forget to stop and snag a dessert for later. Peanut Butter Pie and the Killer Brownie Trio are good first tries.

We go here to get their redskin potato salad AND baked pasta potato salad. Soooo delicious and good. Then we stopped and got some ice cream at Don's Creamy Whip. Please try their blueberry ice cream if they have it. So yummy

Vonderhaars is a great place to get food and snacks. Hot meals available for take out weekdays. Ice cream shop next door. Great meats at Vons as well as booze and some scarce candy available. Reasonable prices as well. Give them a try.

I absolutely love this little store!! A hidden gem in Reading/Lockland, their deli is top tier!! The service is above excellent!! I've been in the area for years, visiting my sister. I recently started working a few blocks away from Vonderhaars, and the company I work for writes out checks for mileage compensation as well as monthly bonuses. I asked my boss where the best place to cash them was, and she told me to come here. If not for that, idk if I'd have ever known about it. When I tell you their deli is top tier....you guys, they make these BOMB sandwiches. They have fresh HOMEMADE salads, chips, cookies, etc etc. Their alcohol selection looks great, I don't drink but I have waited in line for the deli (so they can run my license to cash my check) aso I walked around and browsed. It's a very tiny store but it's got some of the best things in it. Think a home-town IGA only high-quality. I'd rate it at 10 stars if I could!! Definitely recommend anyone stop by and check this place out for sure!!

My dad and I come here for fantastic deli sandwiches. I came in today and there was 1 guy working the deli area and as soon as there was a line there were enough people working the deli area that no one was waiting. It's like magic! It speaks to a well trained and cohesive team. They are a staple business in Reading. One that is well worth a peek if you have never visited.

I love how the whole store works as a team. The deli is ready to go with multiple people there waiting to serve you. The cashier's are on point and very friendly. It's a great experience all the way through. I highly recommend.

I love this place. They have great lunch specials that I tried to go get at least once or twice a week. But sometimes I can't. I work in Woodlawn and the route that I go to get the vonderhaar's is blocked by trains and I can't get through. I had to go somewhere else for lunch today because there was a train stopped on the tracks and I only have a half an hour for lunch to go pick it up and get back to my office. Not vonderhaar's fault it's the stupid trains that stopped on the tracks and I can't get through. In order for me to go there it would have taken me almost 40 minutes out of my way when I could have been there in 15.

You can tell this beef is aged and trimmed correctly.
Makes Kroger steaks taste like dogfood.

Talk about service, unbelievable going above and beyond. Hooked me up today with fantastic food and service helped me tremendously!! Very lucky to live so close to the best deli/butcher/liquor etc etc etc!!!

Recently moved to reading- the guy walked me all around the store, excellent service. Went back around lunch, and the deli sandwich was amazing.
