The Bear's Den

The bears den. The best stir fry, pasta, and times I’ve ever had. Every moment at the bears den has been a blessing. As a graduating senior at Washington university in St. Louis, it means so much to have spent my four years chowing down at ciao down. From seeing my crush at BD to dating him years later, BD holds the most special place in my heart. I love the taco salad, the egg sandwich, and the pasta station. Thank you for everything! Love u bd

The Bear’s Den or BD for short surprises you with the diversity and exquisiteness of food options. The delicate combination of flavors never fails to give the most for the moderate price. I have fond memories associated with this place throughout my whole college experience.

This is a fine dining establishment, like seriously gourmet. While the culinary experience wavered in the wake of the global pandemic, this year has proved to me that the staff shows a real commitment to students. The only thing that could currently better butter my bread, so to speak, more effectively is if they reintroduced their fine chicken and waffle delicacy.

This is a wholesome venue, a place where one goes to create memories. There are a variety of options that one can go to. For example, pasta (not worthy of Italy though), pizza (same thing), half and half (fries and fried chicken), etc. The staff is lovely. However, I must reveal an annoyance. They changed the fries, my favorite in the world, and I have never been angrier.

The bears den is a home…a home to the most delectable cuisine in all of St. Louis. Craving a delicious meal? look no further. The menu features a chicken crusted with freshly ground wheat, pepper, and seasoning with freshly shaved potatoes lightly fried in canola oil. In fact the half the half is so fancy they will cook it medium rare without the customer even asking…what a delight! Not feeling a full cuisine, enjoy a nice day-old from cherry tree deli of a mocha that is 99% milk. Bears den has so much to offer!

Big fan of the bears den. Kosher section is the best with stir fry as a close second. Egg sandwiches have gone downhill over the years but inflation amiright?

The Bear’s Den provides a variety of kosher, allergen-friendly, vegetarian, and vegan options. However, nothing is more delicious and cravable than the Bear’s Den specialty: Half and Half. With its crispy chicken strips and salty french fries, I couldn’t rate these establishment more highly. P.S. Will be taking my family there for graduation dinner! Cheers to the Bear’s Den!

Bears den has been the staple of my washu experience. Through thick and thin, the half and half has been my muse, my sensei, and my guidance. Without you, I would be lost. Thank you BD, for being my candle in the darkness that is life.

tikka tuesday is my favorite day of the week. i love the way all the flavors go together. so fun AND so fresh!
