Regular here! I love their burgers and usually I am not even a red meat eater but for them, I make an exception because it is just that good. There are honestly few burgers in Columbus that compare. Also a big fan of the fried mushrooms! The service is immediate because it is such a small establishment - shout out to Dom, he is the best! This place can get busy but usually during the week you have a good shot at getting a table without issue. Pricing is fair, parking is ample, beer is cold and service is great!

This was our first time visiting Johnnie's and OMG this place was amazing!!! The burgers are thick and juicy with a perfectly toasted bun and the cheese was the most glorious ooey gooey melted bliss ever. The fried mushrooms were perfectly fried too crispy perfection, no sogginess at all. You have to try this place if you are in the area!

This place really surprised me. If I hadn't seen someone else recommend it, I never would have stopped in. It absolutely looks like a dive. From the outside.

The inside is quite nice. It's a little small but you work with what you have. The staff was incredibly friendly, even the patrons were incredibly friendly. And the food was really amazing. The menu is not large but it doesn't need to be. The burgers were good, the fries were good, the onion rings were good, even my daughter's roast beef sandwich was amazing. Strongly recommend if that's the sort of thing you're looking for.

Absolutely wonderful. Friendly, quiet enough for conversation, lively enough to feel comfortable. And yes, the burgers are amazing!

Great burger! Wasn’t dry at all or lacking meat like others have suggested. Mozzarella sticks were good too. Not rating the atmosphere since I was the only one there other than the staff, who were very nice.

Hidden gem right here! Highly recommend this place for a low key vibe, great food and even better service. The Johnnie Burger is top notch and well priced. Small menu, small atmosphere but exactly what you're looking for when you don't want a large crowd.

Johnnie’s was down the street from our airbnb and did not disappoint. We were in the mood for burgers and spent a few minutes researching. Big fans of 5 Guys burgers and consistency, not the prices. Johnnie’s was every bit as good, if not better and fairly priced. Do yourself a favor and check em out.

Johnnie's still has the same charm, great food and service (thanks Louis) we've experienced during previous visits. They're keeping it real as a neighborhood gathering place, right on the tracks!

Neighborhood joints, dive bars call them what you wish, but I love exploring them. Johnny’s Tavern was such an outing. We went on a Wednesday as that is the only day they have Joey’s Coneys. They are known for their burgers and roast beef, but there are also fish baskets. I had two coneys and a side of onion rings. My wife did a burger with fries. The Conies were good, and the sauce was delicious. The hamburger in the sauce was not in big chunks, and the seasoning was not overpowering. The onion ring was crispy. The burger was deluxe, cooked medium well as requested, and a decent size. Although they are known for their burgers, and the burger was good, it was not spectacular. Our server was attentive and outgoing, which is a plus for us. It was a nice outing to a Dive Bar that I had not been to.

It's been 30 years since I'd been to Johnny's. I was not disappointed!!! HUGE burgers, even hubby couldn't finish. Delicious, juicy and well worth $10. If you go there you might not need fries unless you're extremely hungry. Worth the drive to Tranue rd!!

This was our first visit to Johnnie's and it did not disappoint. It was a nice little place. Got "The Johnnie Burger" and fries. No frills, just a good burger. Service was great as well. Even though there was one bartender, he was very attentive to everyone.

Stopped in to check out Johnnie's Coneys. Was waited on promptly. 3 booths and very well upholstered. 4 smaller tables. 2 double tables and the bar. 4 TV's, so plenty of sports. Soda is in a can with a cup with plenty of ice. From previous reviews I expected a serious run down dive, not so. Waiter was Benjamin who was super nice and informative about the bar. Plenty of chili and cheese on the dogs. Onion rings we're nice and crispy. Hot dog was a full length dog not one of those smaller ones that you see in regular bars. Plenty of cheese on your dog. You get a choice of American, Swiss, pepper jack and provolone cheese. The chili was a lightly seasoned version. They load plenty on the dogs. Super good meal for $9. Again Benjamin was all over it ensuring everything was perfect. I can see where you might miss it if it is your first time. Definitely will be back for one of there burgers.

A comfortable, low-key bar and restaurant with a great townie feel. Solid burger and fries + beer. Friendly staff. Hidden gem.

Classic small, squeaky clean, bar/restaurant that has been around for decades. Best hamburger in town and the service is second to none!

2nd time I've had the burger from here. Quality is outstanding. Probably the best fries I've had in a while.

We love Johnnie's Tavern! Dinner last night was great. The burger was perfect with crispy tots and an ice cold beer - hit the spot! Our bartender, Jason, was so much fun! Thank you for a great Thursday night, Johnnie's!

After driving past here for several years and looking at it on line, my hubby and I stopped in for lunch. Holy cow! Best cheeseburgers we’ve ever had. Doesn’t need any condiments! Food is prepared fresh daily. The burgers are fresh-not frozen. Onion rings and tots were great too. Great little tavern that’s been around for 75 years. The bartender/server, Chris, was super nice. It’s clean, the food is great. Don’t be fooled by the exterior! Support a local business and please give it a try!
